CHAPTER 24: TWO MISSING ITEMS!
The robot lunged at Rarity, who couldn't move with fear. She braced herself, ready for the glaive to cut into her head.
But it never came. Shadow knocked the robot to the side, causing it to fall over. It got up quickly, and jumped at Shadow, who darted left and dodged the the robot went at Tails, but Sonic spin-dashed into it. But, again, it got up quickly.
"How strong is this thing?!" said Applejack
"I don't know!" replied Tails, grimly. "Can you try talking to it, Sonic? It has AI, so..."
Sonic stopped in front of the robot.
"Hey, err, robot? Can you stop what your doing?" he said.
The robot looked at him with no emotion.
"I'll do it." said Fluttershy, boldly.
"Fluttershy, no! It will cut you in half!" said Sonic.
"Don't worry, she knows about this sort of thing." said Pinkie-pie. "But I gotta agree, she has to be cearful. Shes chancing DEATH!"
The group looked at Pinkie-pie, then turned to see Fluttershy standing in front of the robot.
"Stop what your doing! Because what your doing isn't right." she said in an angry tone.
The robot looked at her. His grip on the glaives loosened a bit.
"There are better things to do than hurt innocent poneis! Or in this case Mobians..."
The robot was astonished. It went into battle pose.
"What have they ever done? Other than DO NOTHING to you?! You have no reason to hurt people! It's just not right!"
"Wow..." said Sonic. "She's a talker."
"You can say that again." replied Twilight.
"You don't have to do this! You can live a better life!" continued Fluttershy.
The robot ran off into the corridors. It seemed confused.
"Nice work!" said Applejack.
"But it will be back.." said Shadow, quietly.
"Wait, where's Rainbow Dash?" asked Princess Cadence.
"I told her to stay in the throne room."
"Then let's go back. If we go any deeper into Eggman's maze of corridors in this palace, we'll get lost." said Tails.
"Everyone stand near me." said Shadow. They did.
"Chaos Control!" He held up his green emerald, which then started to glow. Then, they all disappeared in a green flash.
In the blink of an eye, they were in the throne room. They looked around, but Rainbow Dash wasn't here!
"I knew she wouldn't listen to me, that god damn-"
"OK, Shadow, we know your frustrated! Jeez..." said Sonic.
"I'll check on the crystal heart." said Shining Armor. At that we galloped out the door.
Twilight walked back from the throne with Tails towards Sonic.
"So yeah, Shadow found us in a cell. He used Chaos Blast or something to make the bars explode. He found a broken prototype robot in our cell, so he put it on as a suit." explained Twilight.
"Which gave me an idea." said Tails.
"What's the idea?" asked Sonic.
"Battle armor!" said Tails, enthusiastically.
Then the door to the throne room swung open and Shining galloped in.
"It's gone!" he exclaimed
"So that's why King Sombra could get in!" said Rarity.
"What's the Crystal Heart?" asked Tails.
"It's what powers all the joy in the Crystal Kingdom. It also powers the shield outside. Without it, any evil could come in and manipulate my Kingdom." explained Princess Cadence.
"Then we need to get it!" said Pinkie-pie.
"Wow, state the obvious..." whispered Shadow.
"Rainbow Dash is gone, too. Meaning Eggman must have them both!"
"Then we have no time to lose!" Said sonic. "C'mon, guys! To the train station!"
Meanwhile, in Eggman's lab in his Egg-Citadel, Rainbow Dash was strapped to a wall with a scanner scanning her body. Eggman was looking at a pony x-ray, probably hers.
"Why are you doing this?" said Rainbow Dash, angrily.
"Shall I explain?" said Eggman.
"If you want..." replied Rainbow Dash.
"You see, when I first saw you, I was surprised to see that your speed matched Sonic's! I've always want to harness speed like that and put it in a robot. I also wanted the power of the Crystal Heart to power my electronics. Both ideas put together-"
"Cut to the chase!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash.
"If you wouldn't so RUDLY interrupted me there, I was about to tell you that I was going to turn you into a robot."
