Chapter 13: Infiltration

AU: It's been a long time since my last update, I have ideas for how the story is to play out, but I've been super lazy and man do I need to stop doing that. I hope your all enjoying the story and are looking forward to more. So here we go...

Jiro, Yosuke, Shinji, and the remaining fighters, had finished eating their dinner, which was almost like eating at a top class resturant. Jiro ate calmy, while Yosuke ate really fast due to excitment, and Shinji ate like a wild animal, pretty much seeing that too as a contest with Jiro. All the fighters checked into their rooms, which Yosuke fell happily in love with...

"Jiro, it's like we're staying in a Five Star Hotel. They must want us to be happy right?" A very enthusiastic Yosuke said to Jiro, who was not really caring much about the luxury that was going on, but he nodded. "Yes Yosuke, it is very nice..."Jiro responded, and proceeded to walk inside his room. Jiro put his things away, took a quick shower, and changed into his pajamas. He grabbed his pendant and looked outside, and deeply was in thought "I now have even more reasons to fight and win this tournament, and hopefully find the key to all my nightmares, but where do I go from here?" Jiro's thoughts were interrupted, as he saw one of the many guards roaming around from down below, the man seemed to have walked off into parts unknown and this caught Jiro's attention.

Jiro quickly ran out of his room and didn't bother changing out of his white pajamas, and instead slipped on his shoes and quickly made his way downstairs, the second he was outside, he roamed around the area until he found the same spot he saw the guard and followed the same path as he did. It was very dark so Jiro was unsure of where he was going, but he did his best to navigate despite the fact he wasn't fond of being slapped by a bunch of tree branches and getting his pants slightly ripped.

After Jiro finished walking through the dark forest, he managed to find something that seemed out of the ordinary for this island, it was a bunch of lights and many walls made of metal, this caught the young man by surprise. "What the-? This is almost like something you would see in a movie for secret agents! But why is it here on this island? I can figure the owner must be well off, but this seems slightly sketchy..." before Jiro could proceed to this new discovery of his, out of nowhere, a hand had touched his shoulder and attempted to pull him back. Out of complete surprise, Jiro did what his instincts told him to do, he grabbed the mysterious hand and flipped it's unknown owner over and knocked them to the ground, before Jiro attempted to knock the advisary out, it was none other then his best friend Yosuke!

Jiro was completely shocked and flabbergasted by who he saw, "YOSUKE! What are you doing here? This isn't where you should be! You must leave here!" Jiro demanded as he was not happy by the fact his best friend was there, as this would get in the way of his plans. Yosuke responded, "Well nice to see you too. And I can ask you the same question, clearly this place is off limits to the fighters, so why are YOU here?", Jiro wasn't sure how to respond, so he went on with another question which he felt was more important at the moment. "Wait a minute, I have a better question, how did you find me anyway? How'd you know I was here?" Jiro clearly tried to change the subject so that way he could get Yosuke out of here and he can proceed with what he had to do. "Well I actually stepping out of my room to check on you, because you seemed off about something. So as I stepped out, I saw you dash by me and you looked freaked out and there is no way you would act like that on a regular basis," Yosuke finished his explanation, but he continued to ask Jiro questions "Jiro, please, we're best friends and we tell each other everything. Lately you've been having to many issues, it's more than sleep deprivation. Please, tell me Jiro, I want to help you. I don't care what the odds are, I am going to do everything I can to make sure your ok!" Yosuke said with much confidence and detirmination, this touched Jiro, and after hearing this and realizing he may not be able to do this alone, and maybe a little help is needed, Jiro explains everything to Yosuke.

Yosuke was amazed by Jiro's story, but he wasn't sure if he could believe it or not, however, since Yosuke was not a liar and would never make up a wild story like this, he accepted what Jiro said, and agreed to help him no matter what the consequences. "So what's the plan partner?" Yosuke said ready for some action, Jiro admits he wasn't to sure as he was making things up as he went along, at the moment Jiro was going to find a way to get behind the large steel door that was down the hall infront of them. "Cool, but it looks like it's tight shut, how are we gonna get through? It's not like we can break down the door or anything?" Yosuke questioning and bringing up a good point, "Hmmm your right, we may need to wait until a guard comes by and we can try to sneak in that way." Jiro hypothosized, as it was the best option he had, this of course worried Yosuke as it could take forever until another guard comes by and he was kind of ready for bed, but he is willing to put it aside for Jiro's sake as he needed him.

The 2 friends awaited for about 20 minutes, which felt more like an eternaty as they were both getting tired and couldn't keep their eyes open, but in the nick of time, a guard came by, the 2 made a mad dash into hiding, and the gaurd was able to get inside with an access card he had and the large door opened. As the gaurd made his way in and was out of sight, the 2 boys made a quick dash inside as the door was begining to close, thankfully they made it inside. They both took a quick breather and proceeded on "This is crazy, Yosuke, this is almost like a military base, this seems a little to much even for a fighters tournament." Jiro said to hsi friend who was agreeing with him, "Yeah, I thought it was cool and all, but there just seems to be something off about it all." Both of the boys were really getting weird feelings about what was really at stake and continued, however they were soon confronted from the back by 2 seperate guards, "Hey what are you both doing here? This is strictly off limits to outsiders!" One guard said while pointing his gun at the 2 while the other proceeded to calmly asking them if they were participants in the tournament. "What? We were just sleeping walking, ya know?" Yosuke said in a smug voice while playing dumb, "Yes, can't you just give us a break guys?" Jiro added on with a slight smirk on his face, however niether of the 2 guards were buying it and were ready to apprehend Jiro and Yosuke. The 2 friends looked at one another from the corners of their eyes, and nodded, they took action and fought off the guards with little to know trouble, the guards tried to fight back, but they were no match for the 2 experienced fighters, Jiro and Yosuke, managed to knock out both the guards and found their access cards which they took knowing they'd need them for later, and even found a digital map of the area in one of the guards pocket. "I think we'll be needing this more then you both," Jiro said as he turned the device on and he managed to figure out how it works and went on to find a room that seemed to be the head office of the one running this tournament which Jiro was eager to get to. The boys moved on to find this office and hopefully find what they were looking for...
