Percy P.O.V.
Ring
I looked over at my phone. It was a text from Reyna.
Reyna: Hey Percy
Percy: hi
Reyna: could u meet me at the park in 5?
Percy: sure
I stuffed my phone in my back pocket and headed to the door. I had always been the one people went to with their problems. I'd been Reyna and Jason's couple councilor basically since they started dating, so I knew exactly what she wanted to talk about.
The fall air hit me as I stepped out of my dorm, hanging a left I headed for the park. Reyna was sitting on a park bench near the front, I spotted her once I got through the little gate. I gave a little wave and jogged over to her. Once I'd come within hearing distance of her she asked me just one thing.
"Did you tell Jason to break up with me?"
"No" I said confused "why would I do that"
"Oh." she said guiltily. "It's just that Jason was repeating it to himself like he had to remember something, maybe something you told him."
Then it hit me, I had told Jason to break up with her. Hadn't I?
"Well," I said scratching my neck, "I kinda maybe did indiscreetly, but just cause I felt he wasn't really invested in your relationship, or at least not as much as he should have been."
Reyna turned a cold glare on me and smacked me on the shoulder "How dare you say when he isn't invested in our relationship! It isn't yours, if you want to play match maker go on some girly website, don't mess with real people!" She had stood up now and was yelling her head off. "It's because you wanted to match up him and that Piper girl isn't it! What does he see in her?! Jason and I have been together for five years and you Mister Jackson, broke us up on our goddam anniversary! Is it cause you're jealous? Well get your own life!" She sat back down on the bench and started crying.
I sat down next to her and wrapped my arm around her.
"It's ok Reyna." I soothed, "I get that you're angry, you have every right to be, I'm sorry." I wasn't offended by anything she said, it wasn't really her speaking, it was the angry sadness. At that point she was sobbing into my shirt.
"Ugh!" She sobbed, "Why aren't you angry?! Why are you so goddam perfect Jackson?"
I rubbed her back soothingly in little circles. "Shh it's okay." I turned her to face me, and looked her in the eye. "Have you talked to Jason since . . . you know?" She shook her head.
"When he chased after me I hid behind a bush." She hung her head a little.
"Well I think you should go talk to him, just so you can hear his side of the story." She nodded.
"Thanks Percy." She looked up at me. "You're just too perfect." And before I knew what was happening she pulled me in and kissed me. On the lips. No, not a friend kiss. Spluttering, I pushed her off. As if my life couldn't get any worse, I saw Annabeth just a few yards away. Staring. At us. I saw her turn away and I stood to run toward her, ignoring Reyna's pleas.
"Annabeth!" I yelled. She whipped her head back around, her eyes angry and filled with tears.
"Her?!" Was the whisper that came out of her mouth. I shook my head.
"No it's not what you think!" I pleaded with puppy dog eyes. Her angry expression turned to one of slight confusion and distrust.
"Here," I said grabbing her hand and pulling her to my car. "Let me show you something."

I watched the scene in front of me unfold, Percy with Reyna. I felt searing jealousy as she reached out and kissed Percy. My Percy. I'd a crush on him forever. I couldn't watch anymore once Annabeth came into the scene. I went to turn around and tripped over a root, but wasn't fast enough to catch myself and landed face first in the dirt. Then Darkness.
I woke up to a steady swaying movement and something warm wrapped around me. I snuggled into it and heard a soothing thumping sound. I cracked my eye open and to my surprise I was in the arms of a handsome blonde guy. Will Solace, he was in my English and math classes. Oh my gods, he's carrying me, bridal style. I felt a blush creep to my cheeks and closed my eyes. I heard a door open and Will called out.
"Nancy?"
"Yes Will? I'm in the back." a light feminine voice called out.
Once he walked farther in the building the smell of bleach and anesthetics hit me. Oh gods I'm in the nurses office. We walked father into it and I heard Someone who I guessed was Nancy let out an "Oh dear Will! What have you brought me this time?!"
"He fell and blacked out." Will explained. I felt Will lower me into a table of sorts, it was comfy, but I was sad to leave the warmth of his arms. I made a noise somewhere between a whine and a groan deep in my throat and shivered a bit. This room was cold!
"Are you awake?" I opened one eye hesitantly, and was greeted with the sight of Will's gorgeous honey-brown eyes an inch from my own. I felt a blush creep over my features and I turned away from him, feigning grumpiness so he wouldn't see how red I was. "Yeah."
"Are you feeling better now? You hit your head pretty hard." All of the sudden I felt his hands in my dark hair, probing my scalp for a bump or bruise. I relaxed under his touch immediately, or at least until my brain caught up to what was happening.
"Get off me!"I bolted up and pushed his hand away, my face even redder. "I'm fine! And I'm leaving. Goodbye." "No wait!" Will grabbed my wrist, and the skin under his hand began to tingle pleasantly. Despite the nice feeling, I pulled away and crossed my arms. "There's nothing wrong with me! Can't I go now?" I protested, feeling a bit dizzy. Will reached out his hands and put them on my shoulders, steadying me.
"Sit back down." He said sternly, but then smiled in a way that made my heart melt. I crossed my arms like a little kid and shook my head.
"Doctors orders DiAngelo." He said looking me straight in the eye. I blushed and sat back down.

I rested my head against the window of Percy's car, swaying my head to the classical music in the radio that I'd begged for. Percy had wanted some pop music station. I glanced over at Percy, who was concentrating on the road ahead the tip of his tongue slightly protruding from his mouth. A smile played across my lips.
"Watcha smiling about?" Percy turned towards me and grinned.
"You noticed?" I mumbled, blushing.
"Course I did Wise Girl." he said, stopping the car. I looked out the window, but before I could see anything my eyes were covered by a pair of calloused hands.
"Percy!" I protested, sitting up and crossing my arms. "What are you doing?"
"It's a surprise! I can't let you look now and ruin it!"
I sighed. "Fine seaweed brain, but I have to get out of the car somehow and that requires seeing."
"Don't worry about it, one sec." I felt his hand withdraw form my eyes, but before I could open them he said "No peeking! You're gonna ruin it!"
"I wasn't going to open my eyes." I lied
"Sure you weren't." I heard his door open and close, then mine open.
"You promise you won't peek?"
"Fine."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"Okay, I'm trusting you!"
I felt his arms slide quickly across my back and under my knees, and in one fluid motion he picked me up bridal style. My face turned very red. "W-what are you doing?" I stuttered.
"Helping you out of the car."
I felt him move away from the vehicle and closing the door. Then the salty smell of the sea washed over me.
"Percy?" I asked as he started running. I felt him reach into my back pocket and take my phone out.
"Percy!" I protested as he chuckled. Then Percy threw me and I felt a wave of chilly water wash over me. "Ugh!" I came up coughing and spluttering. I couldn't see anything but my mass of wet blonde hair in front of my face, which I pushed aside to revel a Percy laughing on the beach.
" . !" I screamed at him, still shivering from the cold water. I lunged at him and wrapped my sopping wet arms around his warm neck and tried to drag him under.
He picked me up so my legs were around his hips and brought me back to shore.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked as he put me down in the sand and sat down next to me.
"The sea always calms me and I don't want you to be angry with me, your my best friend wise girl, even though we've only know each other for a few days" He said putting his head on my shoulder.
"Oh so throwing me in the sea will make me less angry? Gods you are such a seaweed brain" I laughed
"The one and only" I responded
"But how would you feel if you didn't have your best friend because she died of hypothermia?" I said dramatically, leaning back so I was on my back.
"I guess I would never forgive myself if such a fateful thing happened!" He sighed leaning back next to me. And we stayed like that till the sun set.
