We don't own PJO or HOO

(Yet. There's still time though!)

Annabeth P.O.V.

"Come here Charlie," I cooed. In reply he crawled even farther away. "You have to put on your book costume." He just giggled and tried to hide in the closet connecting our two rooms.

"Come on sweetie, we really got to go now." I scooped him up off the floor, changed him quickly, and pulled his little book costume over his head. He just looked up at me, grinning his little gap-toothed grin.

"Are you excited for the party?" I leaned forward and kissed him on the forehead. "I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun!" "Gah!" He squealed in reply.

I smiled and put him in his playpen for a bit while I put the finishing touches on my own costume. Makeup, check. Grey ballet flats, check. Pleated skirt and button down shirt, check and check.

"Alright, time to go!" I picked up Charlie and put him in his little carrier on my back that I had fashioned to look like a old-style backpack. "Bye Charlie! Have fun! Oh and you too Annabeth." Piper teased as we left. I stuck my tongue out at her and hurried out the door.

I went to the room in the back as soon as I reached the small community center. The door opened to reveal a friendly sight of mothers in various costumes with their kids. My eyes searched the crowd for a particular mother. I found her in a kangaroo outfit.

"Hi Sally!" I called to her.

She turned around and waved to me, quickly walking over.

"Hey Annabeth!" She replied happily, "I'm so happy you could make it!"

"Me too Sally. I like your costume" I said, gesturing to her kangaroo suit.

"Yes I think Danny likes it too" She pointed to her two-year-old in the pouch.

"Yeth" Danny stated. "I like"

"Ok everyone gather around the circle" Called a sugar-sweet voice whom I linked with the group leader, Sherry.

Sally and I headed over to the circle where our little group was sitting.

"We have a new member today," Sherry said, "Everyone, meet Liz!" She gestured to the woman next to her, the typical middle aged mom with a one year old.

"Hi y'all! I'm real glad to mech'ya." The woman named Liz said "and this lil boy o' mine is Henry" She smiled down at the little boy on her lap. I couldn't place why but I immediately took a disliking to her.

"Ok folks it's song time now, get your instruments!" Sherry beamed as mothers came forward and picked out instruments from a woven basket next to her.

I left Charlie in our spot and hurried to get him a tambourine, which was his favorite instrument. I got hold of the last one, but the new woman, Liz, grabbed it and triumphantly handed it to her son. Angry, I glared at her, but I didn't want to make a scene so I just grabbed a maraca and retreated back to my place in the circle.

When I gave it to Charlie he frowned a little and pointed to Henry, who was holding his tambourine. I shook my head at him.

"Ok guys, lets start!" Sherry said, then began to sing some Halloween songs that I'm pretty sure her and her five year old daughter, Haley, wrote. Charlie banged his maraca on the floor in a totally off beat rhythm.

We then proceeded in the boring rituals that we do every week. Every time I glanced over at Liz she was giving me a cold, calculating look.

Finally the class was over, I only really did it so Charlie could make friends around his age. I said goodbye to Sally and Danny and quickly headed home.

"How did mommy class go?" Asked Piper as I put Charlie into his crib after taking off his cute little costume.

"Oh gods, don't even get me started." I sighed exasperatedly and plopped down in the chair across from Piper.

"That bad?"

"Well I mean, it's always pretty boring, but this time there was this new mom and I just really don't like her."

"Oh, sorry."

"It's not a big deal, just kinda annoying."

"Welllllllll . . ." A sly smile grew on Piper's face, "you'll be happy to know your night will be ending on an up-note!"

"What do you mean . . . ?" I raised my eyebrow suspiciously.

"Well there's this party and-"

"-No!" I cut her off, "No way Piper gods know one is enough-"

"-You can never have too many parties-" Piper singsonged.

"-but Charlie-"

"-Already taken care of! Millie said he could have a sleepover with their little (boy or girl? I think it's girl but idk totally) as long as we drop him off-"

"-but I'm tired-"

"-I made you coffee, it's your favorite-"

"-But-"

"-No buts! I've taken care of everything so you can't possibly back up your argument. Hazel's upstairs getting ready and I'm about to do the same." Piper ended the argument with a smug smile and flounced to the stairs, adding a cheeky "See you in ten minutes!"

I sighed but smiled to myself. Stretching I pulled myself up and out of the chair and shuffled over to the coffee maker where there was, as promised, a steaming mug of black coffee. I'd never really liked coffee with sugar or milk. Piper knew me so well.

I downed half the mug in one gulp and trudged up the stairs to redo my smudged makeup and make other costume adjustments. Or so I thought, but instead when I reached my bedroom door I found an entirely new costume covered in a costume bag hung on my doorknob with an attached note from Piper and Hazel.

It's just the cutest! Eeeeeeek you're gonna love it! ~Piper3

Don't worry I made sure she didn't get you anything too sexy ;) -HL

"Oh gods you guys!" I said quietly to myself, blinking away tears of gratitude. They were the best friends ever. I scooted into my room and shut the door quietly before I unzipped the bag.

"Oh wow . . ." I stared at the gorgeous costume in astonishment. It was a shining breastplate adorned with tiny, intricate patterns. There was a battle skirt too. It was Joan of Ark; my childhood hero.

I lifted it out of the bag, admiring it. There was a fake sword hanging by the hip with a few French inscriptions near the base. When I was little I'd tried to learn French but I'd never really gotten the hang of it, unlike Piper who had proved a natural.

I pulled on the costume, taking care to put all the straps and armor pieces in their correct places. Then I pulled my hair into a quick ponytail and spun around to face my mirror.

I looked incredible. The costume fit me perfectly, and my blonde hair went nicely with the dark blue of the fabric under the faux plates of armor.

I pulled the sword out from its sheath and whirled it around, watching it catch the sunlight. I opened the door and walked down the hall to Hazel's room to thank her.

"Hazel?" I asked, knocking on her door.

"Come in!" I heard her exited voice answer from inside the room. I opened the door to see Hazel standing in front of me dressed as Cleopatra, her childhood hero.

It was a white dress that was fit perfectly to her and went down a little past her knees. It was adorned with a intricate gold waistband, there were gems sewn along the hem of the dress. Attached to her arms were thin veils that draped behind her. She wore a fake gold headdress that was encrusted with jewels. And to complete the outfit she had a gold staff in her hand with the symbol of life on top.

"It's amazing isn't it" Hazel whispered, snapping me out of my trance.

"And look at you" She squealed, gesturing to my outfit. "I knew you would look amazing in it!"

"These are the best costumes I have ever seen!" I praised "Where did you and Piper get them?"

"Oh pulled some strings for us in the costume department of his new movie," she said slyly.

I looked at my costume with a new found respect. "I can't believe he did that for us," I breathed. "Well" I said thoughtfully "Now that I think about it it is exactly the type of thing he would do."

"Just wait till you see Piper, her costume looks amazing" Hazel chattered excitedly.

"Is she in her room?" I asked. Hazel nodded and we headed down the hallway to her room.

"Hey Piper!" Hazel called through the door. "Come on in." Said Piper's muffled voice from inside.

"Oooooooh!" Hazel grinned excitedly and ran to hug Piper as we walked in. "It's perfect!"

Piper was dressed as Juliet, she was the closest you could get to her childhood hero. Piper had always wanted a romance like Juliette's, but not with the dying.

The dress itself had long bell sleeves and was a creamy white color. It was short in the front and draped along the floor in the back. She had a belt that was a coiled gold rope. Her hair was done up in a fancy up-do and she had a gold ringlet in it.

Piper grabbed a purse and started out the door.

"Who is ready to get this party started?!" She yelled, waking Charlie up.

Grumbling that his nap wasn't over yet, I went to get Charlie.

Once we had gotten everything ready, and Piper had done me and Hazels hair and make-up, we went to drop Charlie off. Even I couldn't say I wasn't excited.

We hope you like it! If you have any female characters you want in the story(your own or a minor character) just comment and we will try to get them in. See you next time sugars! ;)
