"Is something wrong Haruhi?"Hikaru looked over at Haruhi who was actually playing with her food instead of eating it. The tuna sat on her plate, fresh and pink just waiting to be eaten.

"No it tastes great"Haruhi realized her actions and quickly began to eat the tuna again, enjoying every last bit of it with a smile on her face. It wasn't as if she wasn't hungry, to be honest she was starved thanks to the overly healthy food she was being served at the hospital

"Could you all excuse yourselves please"Kaoru looked over to the maids who stood along the wall waiting for an order. They all nodded and dismissed themselves to the kitchen.

"Haruhi you don't have to lie to us, it's okay"Kaoru stood up from his chair and walked over to her. Placing his hand over the chopsticks she was using to forcefully eat the sushi

'Way to be close Ka..mm'Hikaru began the thought in his head but pushed it aside as he stood up and kneeled down next to her.

"I'm sorry guys it's just… it's just been a long day, I just want to lay down for awhile"Haruhi smiled at both of them as she stood up, dismissing herself from the table before heading back up the stairs. They watched her closely as she walked away, her footsteps echoing in the empty hallways as the maids moved aside not wanting to interrupt.

"Do you think she'll be okay Hikaru?"Kaoru returned to his seat to continue dinner along with HIkaru

"She has us..she can't not be okay"

-Huni's and Mori—

"Takashi, do you think Haru-chan will be okay? It's her first day without Tama-chan…"Huni looked across the table covered in cakes and other sweets at Mori who held a cup of tea in his hands.

"Yes"Mori's answer was determined sounding, he knew Haruhi and she would be okay with time, at least that's what he firmly believed.

"But up until now she hasn't been a day without at least seeing him"Huni's words rang true, even on the days he was away on business they had always made time to video chat or at least call to talk about their busy days. Never a day without an I love you or an I miss you.

-Haruhi—

"Good night Fumie"Haruhi kissed the sleeping Fumie on her forehead before placing her down on the soft pink lacey fabric that covered her crib. A soft fluffy blanket followed allowing Haruhi to rest assured that she was warm.

"Excuse me but Master Kaoru has asked that I move Fumie into the nursery where she can be monitors during the night"Two maids stepped in a bowed slightly to Haruhi, one held a piece of clothing in her hands and the other held a small bag.

"The nursery is in the next room over right? I guess that's okay then"Haruhi looked down at Fumie who was still sleeping and smiled at how angelic she looked.

"Thank you young Mistress, here is your night gown and underwear ordered from Master Hikaru"Haruhi watched as they placed the clothing onto the bed and began to move the crib from Haruhis room

"Please just call me Haruhi, I don't like being called mistress"Haruhi called as the two maids left both giggling slightly at her comment. Haruhi walked back into the room closing the door behind her, feeling good about the staff she knew would be taking care of Fumie tonight.

"At least it's nothing revealing"Haruhi lifted up the night gown and ran her fingers over the smooth lace that wrapped over the silky fabric, the lace was perfectly placed to go around any curves she had, or to create any curves she didn't, a classic Hitachii creation. The underwear was modest and white with a small pink bow on the front.

"They must have known that I didn't get anything"Haruhi whispered as she changed her clothes, placing her dirty ones inside her suitcase and turning the lights out, she crawled into bed and closed her eyes. Feeling that tonight would be the hardest night of her life.

-Hikaru—

"Haruhi…Haruhi"Hikaru whispered as he stood outside her door, she'd gone to bed as hour ago and as he walked past her door, he couldn't help but be worried and want to check on her.

"Haruhi I'm coming in"Hikaru whispered as he turned the knob and stepped inside the dark room. He blinked as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. Looking around the room he spotted a sleeping Haruhi curled up into a ball making small whimpering sounds in her sleep.

"Haruhi..shh, what's wrong"Hikaru closed the door and sat beside her sleeping form, his hand gently rubbed her back as small sobs escaped her. It took a moment for him to register that Haruhi was asleep and having a nightmare.

'I'm sorry Haruhi.. I wish I could just take this pain away'Hikaru covered her up with the blanket and turned the AC up, hoping to give her comfort and keep her from sweating burning her nightmare.

Hikaru kneeled down beside her bed and placed his hand on her, allowing their fingers to lace together he closed his eyes. It was going to be a long night for Haruhi, and Hikaru wasn't going to let her feel alone. He gently rubbed her back soothing her sobbing and her nightmares. A tear slipped down her cheek that caught Hikarus eye.

"I won't let this happen to you anymore"
