Hey guys! It's always nice to get positive comments, but I would really like to know what we do badly. As a writer I really like that stuff, it can be if a character has no dimension, not enough detail or we don't see them a lot, we would really just like some comments going over that. Thanks! :) Also sorry for the wait, I haven't been around a computer for a few weeks, the next chapter will come in a few days, you guys are great, see ya next time sweets!

Piper P.O.V.
I stood in front of my building holding Charlie in my arms, looking at Drew. I knew I should thank her.
For once I didn't see the years of putting weird substances in my shampoo, or cutting off my barbies heads, sabotaging my first date; I saw instead her face as she defended Annabeth, defended me, came out to her family. In the rush of the moment I surged forward and wrapped my arms around her. Drew returned the hug shakily, and after a minute Charlie joined in too, cooing happily.
And all I could think to say was "Thanks." Even though I wanted to say more, that word expressed my feelings in a way hundreds could try but fail.
"I'm sorry," She choked out, "for everything." She hugged me tightly in return.
"Don't be. Want to come in for a cup of coffee?" I feel like I should defiantly have a better relationship with Drew, she needed me, and to be honest I needed her.
"That would be really nice actually." She nodded wiping at her eyes.
"Happy!" Charlie cheered pointing at Drew, clapping his hands.
"Oh my gosh!" I looked at the little boy in my arms, "That was your first word! I'll remember this night forever." I smiled at Charlie and looked meaningfully at Drew.
"Let's get some coffee." I motioned for her to follow me.
"Down to the garage please." I motioned for Drew to hand her keys to the door man.
"Yes mam." he hurried to the car and drove it down.
"So, is 'this' a new found thing?" I asked, sipping my coffee.
She nodded, slowly sipping hers.
"Yeah, I started admiring one of my, uh . . . friends." I knew what she was talking about-one of her little minions, they followed her around everywhere.
"I thought it was just because she was doing a good job, you know finding dirt about people. But then my feelings started to go more to the side of being romantic. I asked her out, but of course she turned me down, I was kicked out of my friend group. And my uh . . . dorm." Drew looked down at her shoes, fumbling with her coffee cup.
"What!" I exclaimed, "I could not have heard that right, they kicked you out for being bi?"
"They said it wasn't because of that, they said it was complaints from students, my former friends, feeling uncomfortable with me being there. And the teachers didn't want me in their classes either, so . . . here I am."
"Drew that's terrible! Why didn't you tell mom or anything?" I looked at her, wanting desperately to make things better.
"I thought she would react like my dad did."
"Did he kick you out of the house?" I got a nod. "That fucking bastard! Fucking parents these days, they all suck!" I kicked the counter, which was a very bad idea, "Ow! Shit that hurt!"
"Piper! it's ok, calm down." Drew hurried over to try to keep me from kicking the wall again.
"Oh my god!" I just remembered something that would help in this situation, "There is a spare room upstairs, it's pretty empty and dusty - we have just been using it for storage - but it's pretty nice! You could come live with us." I flung my arms up in the air, as to say 'victory' but instead I managed to whack Drew in the face.
"Ouch." Drew grimaced.
"Oh - sorry." I smiled guiltily, "but will you stay with us?"
"Piper of course I will! Even if I didn't want too I've got no where else to go."
"Yay! Well uh not the bit about you having no where else to go - that sucks - but the part where-" "- Piper! I get it don't worry!" She laughed. "Care to show me to my new room?"
Annabeth's POV
I opened the door of the apartment, expecting it to be empty since Hazel was with her dad and Piper and Charlie were with her family. Instead I see Charlie, sitting alone on the kitchen floor. Happily gurgling to himself, mind you, but still totally alone.
"Piiiiiiiiiperrrrrrrr!" I scooped Charlie up into my arms and headed upstairs.
"Yeeeeeeeeeahhhhhhh?" Came the drawn-out reply. I followed the sound to our spare bedroom, bouncing Charlie as I went.
"You know you shouldn't leave Charlie by hims- oh! Drew?" I looked at Piper for an explanation, but it was Drew who spoke first. "Oh, did we leave him down there by himself? Sorry about that."
"That's okay . . . It probably wasn't that long anyway . . . Uh - not to be rude or anything . . . but what are you doing here?"
"I invited her." Piper chimed in. She looked at Drew with what seemed to be a request for permission of some kind, and when Drew nodded she went on.
"Drew got kicked out of her school and house because she came out as bi. I offered her a place here because we've got an extra room and you know I just figured-"
Drew jumped in. "If either you or Hazel are uncomfortable with this in any way I'll leave immediately-" "Oh no not at all!" I smiled. "I'm hardly in a position to tell anyone that's been kicked out of their home that they don't deserve the kindness of the McLean family, and I'm sure Hazel will be fine with it too. Stay as long as you like."
Drew grinned. "Thank you so much. I'd better start getting stuff from my car." She hugged Piper and headed back downstairs.
"I thought you hated her." I said after she left.
"I did! But well- she's stood up for you and me, and she's got no where else to go-"
"It's okay I get it, I was just wondering." I looked down at Charlie, who was starting to fall asleep against me. "I'd better put him to bed now. I'm guessing he's had a pretty eventful day."
Piper nodded and smiled at me as I turned to go, "Goodnight Annabeth."
"Goodnight Piper." I laughed, she always got kind of angry when I didn't say goodnight or good bye.
Drew P.O.V
I smiled into my fresh pillow case, snuggled under my new comforter. Piper had been lying when she said it was dusty. This room was perfectly nice and clean. It was obviously a storage room though, it had a few boxes in the corner, a spare desk with a slightly broken leg, and an antique wardrobe.
The floor was hardwood and it was a solid 10 by 8 foot space, not as big as the rooms in my old house (which could have been apartments in of themselves really), but I wouldn't go back there for the world. I had only been here for a few hours but this place already felt like home.
I woke up at nearly 4 am, habit I guess, but it was too late to go back to sleep. Perfect, I thought, rolling my eyes.
But then I realized, it was. I could make my delicious three layer raspberry muffins that were, in my opinion, to die for. But they took hours to prepare. This would be the perfect way to thank Annabeth and Piper for taking me in, so I got to work.
They had absolutely zero of the ingredients I needed. I mean seriously! What kind of kitchen doesn't have baking soda?
I continued rummaging through the fridge and cupboards. How could anyone survive on coffee grounds, baby food, half a gallon of milk and two boxes of cereal? Luckily I had a little money saved up, but what store would be open at 4 am? Wait a minute - it's New York! There ought to be someplace; this is "the city that never sleeps".
But that wasn't the only problem, it really isn't safe for me to just go out alone in the streets of Manhattan at 4 AM. This house desperately needed some basic food necessities, I would just have to carry my pepper spray in one hand, and my phone (911 pre-dialed) in the other.
I walked down to the fancy lobby, where I got some curious glances.
"Are you going out miss?" The door man asked, seemingly concerned. I nodded, gripping my pepper spray tightly, I couldn't back down now
"That's really not safe!" The young man at the receptionist desk practically shouted, "I can take you somewhere if you're sure it's important."
"Oh really? I wouldn't want to . . . " I trailed off, realizing it probably was a good idea to let him come with me. And to be honest, I was kind of scared. "Well actually yeah that would be really great. I'm going to the grocery store."
He sent me a puzzled look, "At four in the morning?"
"I'm baking some muffins for my sister, she doesn't even have baking soda," I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Freshmen."
"Oh, you must be 's sister, you do look alike." I nodded, we both had mom's facial structure.
"I'm Butch." He walked around the desk to hold out his hand to me.
"Drew." I smiled back, putting my pepper spray back in my bag.
"Hey, Alex, care to look after the desk? thanks." He said, not even bothering to answer poor Alex's protests.
"Thank you so much for taking me to the store." I said as we left the building and started down the windy stone street. "To be honest I was kind of scared to go out by myself." I admitted, blushing a little.
"Oh it's no big deal, my mom always stressed on being kind and protecting people." He smiled down at me. "Piper sure is lucky to have a sister like you, going out practically in the middle of the night so you can make her some muffins."
"Well," I laughed, "I kinda of owe it to her, but it's a long story."
"Still, none of my sisters would do that for me unless it was my birthday, then they go all out making me seven layer rainbow cakes." he laughed.
"Rainbow cakes, hm?" I asked, grinning.
"My mom is a huge hippie and we always had tons of rainbow things growing up, it's kind of tradition."
"That's cool." I said, deflating a little. Did my siblings have silly traditions like that? Did I miss out on that because I was a total bitch? Probably. I would have to ask Piper when she woke up.
I thanked Butch for taking me to the super market as I hurried upstairs, I had better start baking so the muffins were done before they woke up.
I hurried around the kitchen, putting on layers and mixing batter. By the time I was done I was covered in crumbs, flour, raspberry juice and batter.
I found a very decorative tray, placed the muffins on them and waited for a minute or two till I realized that I was still in yesterday's clothes and hadn't brushed my hair or showered.
I quickly rushed upstairs to the guest bathroom and turned on the shower, Making sure there was a towel and shampoo before getting in. Even though it was a bathroom that Piper said they never used it was huge. The shower was about eight feet long and five feet wide, I'm not even kidding.
I didn't bother doing my hair fancy, and I didn't have any make-up. It bothered me, and I decided I would have to get a job. I absolutely would not be a dead weight around here, they were showing me so much kindness and I was determined to repay them however I could.
Then I heard crying. Crap. My shower or the oven timer must have woken Charlie up. Not knowing what else to do I tiptoed to the room where the crying was coming from and opened the door, hoping that Annabeth wouldn't mind me going into his room.
I quickly walked over to the crib in the back of the room and picked up the wailing baby. Oh gods he was still crying, don't they just need human contact? Oh maybe he was hungry! I'd feed him.
I hurried down the stairs, bouncing him gently up and down whilst trying not to drop him.
Now, what do babies eat?
"What do you eat?" I asked Charlie, like he would respond.
But to my surprise he grunted and pointed at the raspberries on the table.
"Well, I guess you're the boss." I said, giving him one and setting him on the floor.
He laughed manically and squished the raspberry in his hands. Of course.
"Muh" he grunted motioning up towards where the raspberries were.
"But you squashed them, why would I give you more?" I looked quizzically at him. Maybe he didn't know how to eat by himself? Gods babies were useless.
I got a handful of raspberries and popped one in my mouth, and looked at Charlie, "See? that's how you eat a raspberry." I handed him one.
He squashed it in his hand again, laughing even harder this time.
Hm. Maybe babies had to be taught a different way?
I put a raspberry in his hand and directed it toward his mouth with my hand. He squished it against his cheek, grinning.
I glared at him, "No, Charlie, that's not how you eat."
He grinned at me. So I took this eating matter into my own hands. Literally.
I took a berry and popped it in his mouth and made his jaw move with my hands chewing the raspberry.
Luckily he didn't bite me, he liked it and took the rest of the raspberries out of my hand and ate them.
Then he crawled away to the living room and started taking his toys out of a little crate. So, still keeping an eye on him I washed the raspberry juice off of my hands and brewed some coffee.
Annabeth P.O.V
Mmm. Nothing beats the smell of coffee in the morning! Piper must have made some already . . . which was weird because she usually didn't get up before Charlie and me. And it was odd that Charlie was still asleep. I checked the clock by my bed: 7:30. He never slept that late.
I snuggled back into my comforter, sure this morning must be some sort of blessing. The sweet smell of muffins was in the air too. Wait, muffins? Nobody in this apartment baked.
Curious, I pulled myself up and out of bed and shivered. My bed was just so warm and nice . . . maybe I should go back . . . No. There was a prospect of good food ahead and I couldn't miss that opportunity. Should I wake Piper? No, I wanted it all to myself. Although I suppose it would only be polite to share with the person who actually made the food.
Even though I probably wouldn't get Charlie to nap later in the day, I let him sleep because he only slept in this late when he was sick.
I pulled on a huge bright orange sweatshirt from an old camp I used to go to, camp half-blood. I also pulled in a pair of fuzzy socks so my feet wouldn't freeze.
I headed out of my bedroom, practically tiptoeing, trying not to wake Charlie.
Once I was down the hallway I rushed down the stairs, hoping that Piper hadn't woken up and eaten any of the food. Unless this was some sick joke and she had just gotten a new air freshener that smelled like muffins. Sounds like Piper, so I slowed down and walked down the stairs, Piper wouldn't win.
But when I looked over the railing I saw Charlie, in the living room playing quietly with his toys. Alone. This was odd, Piper never took Charlie out, she just left him to cry so I would get him.
When I was able to see the kitchen things started making more sense. It was Drew, sitting on a stool next to a plate of muffins drinking her coffee. Right, I totally forgot about her.
"Did you make those?" I asked and her head snapped up.
"Yeah! They're a thank you for letting me stay here, do you want one?" She held out a muffin.
"Yes please! I would love one." I walked closer to her so I could get a muffin.
Biting into that muffin was like eating heaven, raspberry crumble heaven.
"Oh my gosh Drew! This is delicious!" I managed to say between bites.
Once I was finished I remembered that Charlie was playing in the living room.
"Did you get Charlie up?" I asked Drew, which was a bit of a pointless question because it wasn't like Charlie could come down here himself.
"Yeah," she said a bit sheepishly, "He was crying and I didn't want to wake you guys up. So I just got him, I hope that's ok, I don't want to over step my boundaries or anything-"
I laughed, "Drew that is way more than ok, it's amazing! Thank you so much."
"Do you think we should get Piper up?" Drew asked, "It's like almost eight."
I shook my head, and grabbing my fifth muffin I said, "No way! These muffins are all mine."
There was a knock on the door and Hazel stuck her head in. "Hello."
Charlie crawled over from the living room, hearing Hazels voice.
"Hi baby!" she said to him, scooping him up. She tossed him in the air as he giggled. Then she noticed Drew.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She sneered, putting Charlie down gently. He pulled on her pant leg with a forlorn look on his face.
"Haven't you sabotaged Piper enough already?" She stepped towards Drew, her small body tense like she was waiting to pounce or something.
"Hazel wait -" I tugged on her arm, wanting to explain.
"- No, Annabeth! I am trying to be assertive! You know what she's done!" she pushed my hands away from her arm, turning back on Drew, who looked too shocked to speak. "I bet you heard Piper's doing well in her classes and has a new boyfriend and wanted to ruin that, huh?" On the word boyfriend Drew looked confused and tried to say something.
"No! Don't you dare try sweet talking your way out of this. I know what you're like." Drew's head hung forward and her eyes started to water.
"Oh you're going to cry now?" Hazel was practically yelling, "How do you thing Piper felt at prom?!"
Drew had started to cry now and I rushed over to her and gave her a hug.
"Annabeth!" Hazel seemed shocked, "What about Piper! After everything she's done for you I can't believe you would just -"
"Hazel enough!" Pipers voice filled the whole apartment, as she stood dramatically at the top of the stairs.
She hurried down the stairs with messy hair and her PJs still on. "It's not what you think! I invited her here."
At this Hazel looked confused, "But . . . Why?"
Piper again looked for Drew's confirming nod to give her story. "At Thanksgiving she stood up for Annabeth and I, and she's been kicked out of her school for coming out as bi, so I decided to let her stay with us."
"Oh Gods! I - I'm so sorry! I totally - oh Gods oh Gods I messed up." Hazel said, fanning herself in obvious distress. "I'm really sorry Drew! I just thought, well you know you were up to something - and past experiences you know and I just wanted to stand up for my friends and I for once and oh look where it's gotten me!"
"It's ok Hazel, I get it. I know I've been awful." Drew slumped on her stool, nervously tugging at her hair.
"No it's really not ok! Oh Gods - I promise I'm not usually like this." Hazel took a deep breath. "Do you - could we . . . Start over?"
Drew smiled. "Yeah, I'd definitely like that." She held out the tray as a peace offering. "Muffin?"

Sorry for the filler chapter I didn't really know where this was going.
