I don't own Vampire Academy or Vampire Diaries

Chapter 17

Suffice it to say that we didn't get the answers. We were, however, invited to a dinner that Elijah set up with Damon and Stefan that night and I will get my answers one way or another.

We were sitting at the table waiting for Damon and Stefan to arrive when the doorbell went off.

Elijah opened the door. "Niklaus. Our guests have arrived," he said letting the two of them in.

"Damon. Stefan," Klaus said. "Elijah tells me you seek an audience. Very bold. Let's discuss the terms of our agreement like civilized men, shall we?"

"It's better to indulge him," Elijah said walking past the brothers towards the table.

Stefan walks down the steps into the room. "I didn't, uh, come here to eat, Klaus," he said. "In fact, I didn't want to come here at all, but I was told I had to. Because you would hear us out."

Klaus chuckled. "Well, you can sit and eat or I can reach down your throats and pull out your insides." He sat down. "The choice is yours."

Damon and Stefan took their chairs out from under the table and we all got ready to eat.

"What are they doing here?" Damon asked nodding his head towards us.

"We are here to get answers about why our friend is stuffed in a coffin with a dagger in her heart," Mia answered.

Damon raised one of his eyebrows probably remembering that we were there when they found the names on the wall of the cave.

"I thought you had figured out that she was my sister," Elijah enquired.

"We don't believe you," I said. "And the only one who does isn't here to try and fill our head with such nonsense. He has his own things to do."

Elijah and Niklaus looked at me like I was stupid. I held my head high. I know what I am talking about," I thought. I have known Rose for a long time now and no one can tell me otherwise.

"Let us start this dinner so that Miss. Dragomir can get her answers and these gentlemen can put forth their deal, shall we?" Guardian Petrov said diplomatically.

"Yes we shall," Klaus said, slightly smirking in my direction, before waving to a girl standing at the wall to indicate that we were ready for food.
