"Because Haruhi, I'm only human and even I sub come to the things my heart wants"Kyoya stayed where he was, looking to her eyes. She was confused, and obviously not understand what he was implying to her.

"What are you talking about Kyoya?"Haruhi sat up in her bed, her fingers moved to touch her lips, it was strange. He had kissed and she wasn't angry, if Tamaki had ever tried something like that she would surely have killed him.

"Allow me to explain"Kyoya moved to sit beside her on the bed, he wasn't used to this sort of thing, Haruhi was normally always able to read him but right now, she was confused, then again he wondered, had the thought ever even crossed her mind that he could love her? That Kyoya the shadow king, the demon king, the cold money loving uncaring man he was, could love her?

"Haruhi I kissed you simply because I've been wanting to for some time"Kyoya explain as he looked over at Haruhi who now look slightly annoyed with him, a look he never normally got.

"So you're a pervert? Secretly?"Haruhi couldn't really think of any other reason that he could want to do something like that to her. In all the time that she'd known him, he'd never once shown any romantic interest besides that one night when they had been in Okinawa back in high school.

"Haruhi"Kyoya looked down at his hands, he'd never felt a nervous like this before. He felt his heart pick up, is hand rested on his chest.

'What's wrong with me.. am I scared?'Kyoya closed his eyes for a moment to collect his thoughts. Haruhi sat there, waiting for him to continue. He took his glasses off and held them in front of her.

"Haruhi did you I actually don't need glasses, these can hardly be considered glasses"Kyoya placed them onto Haruhis lap and watched as she picked them up, looking through them for a moment only to realize that he was telling the truth

"Wow, I always thought you had terrible eye sight"Haruhi placed the glasses back down into Kyoyas hands as he folded them up and put them aside

"Did you know that I only attended law school with you after I finished my medical degree so I could spend time with you"Kyoya let a breath out, feeling ashamed for admitting it, but that was his only reason, although he did attempt to justify it by saying he'd never be betrayed by a lawyer

"No I didn't, that a stupid reason to go to law school Kyoya, you could have just came to visit me instead"Haruhi commented still not getting what he was trying to say

"Haruhi there's a lot of things you don't know about me, so allow me to share something with you, please keep in mind I've hidden it for year, no one knows this but perhaps it'd be profitable if I were to finally let it out"Kyoya looked over to Haruhi, she had her hand in her lap and was waiting patiently for him to continue, that was the good thing about Haruhi, she listened.

"Haruhi Fujioka"Kyoya placed his hand over hers, feeling how warm she was, and no doubt due to the fact that she had her hands under the blanket while she was sleeping. Kyoya moved closer to her, their legs touched as he thought carefully for a moment

"I'm undoubtable in love with you Haruhi, I've loved you since we were in high school and have brushed those feelings off for years hoping they'd fall away like some trivial thing, but it hasn't, it's grown over the years and now I've found myself here with you, you truly are an excellent lawyer Haruhi, you painted me into a corner, calling me a pervert, leaving no room for anything else but the truth or else your image of me would have been changed"Kyoya gripped her hand slightly, afraid she'd get up and demand that he leave

"I understand your feelings aren't the same Haruhi and there is no obligation for you to be romantically incline with me, we can continue as we have and nothing will change. I can't promise you I will never kiss you again, if the opportunity comes I'm no fool Haruhi, I'll take that kiss but never anything more"Kyoya released his hand form her and raised his head to meet her eyes. There was small tears forming now in her eyes that fell down her cheeks. Her hands gripped the sheets as she looked at him. His eyes widening in shock, unsure of what to do.

"Haruhi please don't cry, I'm sorry if what I said upset you, I assumed you wanted the truth"Kyoya felt panicked as the tears started to drip down her cheeks and fall onto her hands. She looked frustrated, her eyes closed and Haruhi shook her head.

But then she looked up at him, her eyes now angry, confused, but..happy

She opened her mouth to speak but instead yelled

"Why didn't you tell me before!" Haruhi leaned forward and grabbed onto his shirt pulling herself closer to him. She sat on her knees and let her tears fall down against him.

"Why didn't you take me away from him! Why didn't you tell me before I accepted his proposal!"Haruhi cried softly into his shirt, feeling his hands wrap around her back she couldn't help but feel some comfort.

Kyoya sat there holding her, listening as she stopped crying and we now just leaning against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Kyoya pressed his lips gently against her hair and whispered softly.

"Because I was foolish Haruhi, I know nothing about my own heart and by the time I realized how in love I was with you, it was already too late"

"Well that's certainly a wake up call"Kaoru sat there in hall way listening to their conversation, the food he bought at his side and a sad smile on his face

'You too Kyoya? Haruhi, you really are something special'Kaoru leaned back against the wall, feeling his heart sink but at the same time become lighter

"Haruhi will you let me be here for you now?"Kyoyas voice came out into the hallway as Kaoru listened for Haruhis reply

"Yes… but I don't know how I feel about you Kyoya, to be honest with you.."

"Yes?"

"I've always wondered… what my life would have been like if I married you, or Hikaru, or Kaoru"and with that Kaorus eyes widened, he had never imaged Haurhi ever thought about her in anyway like that

"I see, then I'll wait Haruhi, but now that you know my feeling for you please don't expect things not to change, I want you for myself Haruhi, I want to make a family for myself with you and Fumie"

Kaoru stood up and walked away from the doorway not wanting to hear anymore, he'd hear enough and now was having a hard time taking it all in.

"Haruhi.. I might really have a chance but…."Kaoru stood there in the kitchen and placed the food down. Then his phone began to ring and as he looked down he whispered

"Hikaru"
