"Master Sergenat, I will go home now. If somthing happens, they should call Lt. Col Davis, he has the night shift."spoke Jack O´Neil via his interkom to the Sergeant in the antechamber.
"Of cours General and have a nice evening." replied the Sergeant.

Jack had not heard this because he already left his office through a second door.
On his way out of the Pentagon, he met only a few people because most had already gone home hours ago.
`I hate it´ he thought and stepped through one of the security doors which he Hhad opened with his keycard.
One of the guars wanted to jump up and salute Jack, wich he stoped with a hand gesture.
"Remain sited solider you have an long nigth bevor you." said Jack and went hins way.
Quick he had reached one of the nearby lifts and went with it in the ground floor of the Pentagon.

Quiet whistling he moved to his car which he had bought a few weeks ago or according to himself Daniel had talk him into buying it, a Toyota Prius III.
„I miss my Pecking Up," he murmured to himself, as he started his car.

Haf an hour later he had left Route 1 and was 5 minutes out from his home in Cottage City.
Jack wanted to turn just from the 38st treet on the old Route 1 when the a car coming from the left ignored the red traffic light and crashed in Jacks Drivers door.

Six hours later SGC Meeting room

SG-1 as well as Colonel Reynolds and Chief Master Sergeant Walter Harriman had assembled in the Meetingroom and waited for General Landry who sat in his office and was on the phone.
The gathered ones saw how the General put the red phone away and collected himself with both hands in the face.
HE needed 5 minutes to process wat h he was told an the phone, bevor he stepped to the others in the Meeting Room.
"Remain seated guys." he said an sad down.
"I have sad information for you." Landry continued.
"Six hours ago Jack O´Neill died in a car accident ..."
Startled everybody looked at the General, as if he had lost his mind.

"Jack was on his way home as he wantet to turn left in a street, when an car which took part in an ilegalen street race hit him ohn his drivers door. According to police both vehicles rose in flames. The person responsible for the accident could be saved with heavy combustion. For Jack came every help too late."

Drei Tage später

Daniel sat in his office and flew over the temporary accident report which the SGC had got from Washington.

„… the heaviest injuries … no mortal remains … bright light … Explosion … deliberate homicide … murmured ... street running …" before himself and had to read a passage once more.

„Jack." He murmured once more and had a little smile upon his lips.
