Drew P.O.V

Everything was pain. I felt as if I was on fire, like a building was sitting on my legs. I tried to push it off, but it seems that doing that hurt even more.

What seemed like an eternity later, I attempted to open my eyes, only to be greeted by a blinding light.

"Look, she's moving!" I hear a sweet voice say close to my ear. Then a rush of footsteps. Heavy breathing ensued after.

"Hey Drew," a different voice cood, Piper's. "How are you?"

I actually managed to croak out a word, "Death."

The other person giggled, I still wasn't sure who it was yet.

"Well if you need us Hazel and I will just be waiting here so holler if you do." Wow holler, that's hilarious.

The second time I opened my eyes it was dark in my room. I was greeted by the sight of Hazel's curly hair. She must have fallen asleep on the bed. I tried to puff some air in her direction to wake her up. All it ended up doing was make her air fly back, which was completely ridiculous. I started quietly laughing, and blowing on her hair some more. I laughed until my throat started hurting, which honestly was only one more puff.

Hazel lifted her head up once I started to cough. She let out a little snort of laughter when she saw me there, coughing and laughing..

"Fight me," I croaked. Trying to shift my body so I was facing her more, I started drooling.

Hazel laughed and got up to wake up Piper.

"Oh my gosh Drew you're awake!" Piper squealed running across the room. She moves in to give me a hug, then she realized that, I was in fact in a hospital bed. "Oh, uh air hug I guess."

I nodded, then tried to lift my arms to mimic hers, but it was to much effort from my weak body and I passed out.

The third time I woke up staring into Hazel's eyes. A sight that I didn't know I needed in my everyday life. They were dark brown in the center and then slowly faded into a light brown.

I flicked my eyes around the room, trying to establish what time of day it was, and found that Piper was nowhere to be seen.

"She went out to get coffee," Hazel answers my unspoken question.

"How long have I been out?" I croaked, hurting my throat with the effort of talking.

"In total, a week." I sucked in a breath, that long! " And since the last time you were reported up, two days."

My brow furrowed, "and you've been here the whole time?" My voice scratched coming out.

Her face flushed and she reaches back to brush the hair from her face. "Uh, I've been here a few days."

I tried to say to her that that was too sweet, but I broke into a coughing fit instead

Her eyes get worried and she rubbed my shoulder. Her other hand brushed the side of my face, stroking my comfortingly, and I leaned into it. Her hand grazed my lips, and our eyes immediately lock together. Bother our eyes were confused, but there was something under that, an emotion that I couldn't name. But I could only hope was, well.. love.

Nico P.O.V

Will and I walk back to dorm apartment after we had finished packing his stuff to go home. Now it was my turn. Well we were heading there until Sierra stopped us. For those of you who don't know Sierra has been stalking me for the past week and keeps asking me out. I think that this is her fourteenth try if I had to guess.

"Date me Nico!" She shoved a bouquet of flowers in my face.

"Sierra I told you I'm not interested already, could you leave me alone?" I shuffled closer to Will.

"Oh come on Nico," she tapped the bouquet against my chest and leaned in flirtatiously, "I'm single, you're single. Lets date!"

Will puffed up his chest and pushed her back so his arm was protecting me. "Actually Nico is not single."

I looked up at him, confused. Yes I was.

"He's my boyfriend," Will moved his arm so it's now around my shoulder. I felt a blush crawl over my entire body.

Her eyes narrowed and darted around us suspiciously. She leaned in an inch from my face, filling my nose with the scent of her flowery perfume, a smell I had started to hate. "I'll date you yet Nico."

And then she just walked away.

Will kept his arm around me until we were at my door and I had to get my key out.

"Your boyfriend?" I said, hoping that, well I don't know, he meant it.

"Oh well I just made that up, I didn't want her to bother you anymore." He shrugged, and if I'm not mistaken I think I saw a little bit of a blush creep up his cheeks. "But I really hate lying you know. It gives me a terrible feeling."

Is this going where I think it's going?

"So, we wouldn't want to lie to the poor girl would we?" Will shoots me a sly grin, blushing and a little nervous. Is he, asking me out?

I just raised my eyebrows at him. He put his face in his hands and mumbled something.

"What was that?" I asked, even though I'm pretty sure that I knew what he said.

"I said," Will looks up, or rather down, at me and grabbed my hands, "Will you be my boyfriend?"

Wait, he really asked me that?! I was stunned, I knew he was going to say it, but it just seemed fake right now.

Will looked nervous. "If that's a no, I can leave now." He uncomfortably rubbed his hand behind his neck.

I shook my head, "It wasn't a no you idiot. It was a yes."

Will's grin returns and he leaned down and lifted my chin. Our lips met and it was pure bliss. Well for a second until Jason came in.

"Yes!" He yelled pumping his fists in the air. "OTP! OTP!"

"Jason!" I yelled, pulling away from Will quickly, blushing madly. "How long have you been there?"

"Well, I live here, so you know the whole time." He shrugged his shoulders, smiling smugly. "And I might or might not of filmed the whole thing."

"What! Jason.." I moaned, turning into Will's chest. Will wrapped his arms around me and rests his head on mine. I could feel his laughter.

"Will stop laughing you're just encouraging him!" I mumbled into his shoulder.

"You're going to have to send me that video Jason." I could tell that he was smiling.

"What?" I pulled away from Will and gasped dramatically. "You're turning against me too?!"

"Stop being such a drama queen." Will pulled me into his arms again. He kissed me on the neck which made me giggle, something that I hate to do.

"Stop . . ." I complained, but did nothing to move out of his grasp. Well until I noticed that Jason was still filming.

"Oh my gods Jason put the fucking phone down!" I yelled at him, pulling away from Will to chase him. "I'm going to take away that thing and delete all the video!" I threatened, chasing him around the apartment while Will just sat on the couch watching and laughing.

Annabeth P.O.V

*A few weeks later*

"Annabeth!" Piper yelled from downstairs. "Percy texted you!" I picked up Charlie and then wondered how she knew it was from Percy. She read the text. This made me walk faster.

"Piper," I complained, heading down the stairs, "how many times have I told you not to read my texts?"

She doesn't respond though and just looks up at me with a smug little smile.

"What is it?" I transferred Charlie so he was only on one hip, and reached out with my other hand so she could give me my phone.

She gave me the phone, barely holding in her squealing. Scratch that, not holding in her squealing and rolling back on the couch in... Joy?

Once I read the text I knew why, he invited me over for christmas. Why does he treat me like family? What did I do to deserve this, I've done nothing for this, and I shouldn't be receiving this good treatment. He would ditch me on the spot once he found out about Charlie. I looked at the cooing baby in my arms. Did I regret having him? No, not really, I loved him, he was my whole world.

"Well, I'm going to have to say no." I started texting Percy my reply.

"What‽" Piper screeched and snatched the phone away from me. "You have to say yes." She complained, and unlocked my phone.

"Piper, I want to be here for Charlie's first Christmas." I looked at Charlie gain who was begging to be let down.

Her face dropped with understanding, "Oh, ok then I get it." That just made me feel worse, like I was . . . I don't even know how to describe it.

I took my phone back and texted Percy that I couldn't come, or rather, wouldn't.

Percy P.O.V

She is entitled to her own life, I guess I just hoped that, she would come visit us for a little bit. But as I tried to make time for us to meet over break, it seemed she was always busy. I wanted to ask her if she wanted to spend new year's with me. But did that seem to flirtatious? Did I want to be flirtatious? I guess I did. I sucked in a breath and waited for her response.

"Percy!" Danny called from outside my door. "Play with me!" I looked down at my phone, Annabeth still hadn't responded. I made sure that my phone was on and shoved it in my pocket.

"Coming Danny!" I opened the door carefully, making sure that I didn't hit her with it. "Let's play!"

*A little later*

"She still hasn't responded," I pouted to my mom, "do you think I did something wrong?"

My mom gave me a look that made me think that she knows more than she's telling me. "No, I'm sure that she is just checking her plans." She patted my arm, leaning across the table.

"Does it take three hours to check plans!" I shrugged my mom's hand off.

"Percy!" My mom snapped at me, which is something she rarely ever does. The last time she actually snapped at me was when I was around ten and I was mean to Paul. "Every person you meet has their own battles that they have to deal with, be more understanding!" I bowed my head down in embarrassment. She was right, I had no reason to be upset. But that made me think, why is she being so protective over Annabeth? I know she is a kind person, but snapping at me. And saying something insightful like that. The knowing look from before.

My mom knew Annabeth's secret.

Annabeth P.O.V

"Oh come on Annabeth!"' Piper complained. "He's practically asking you out! I'll stay home with Charlie for goodness sake!"

I looked at Hazel for help. She didn't help me. "She's right Annabeth, and you know it. If you are feeling guilty about us watching Charlie, you know I always stay home on New Year's anyway. I don't mind at all. I opened my mouth to protest that maybe I didn't want to go. But Hazel, being the mind reader she is, stopped me before I could even say anything. "And don't you try to pull that you don't want to go. Or that you don't want to see him. Or that you don't want to date him, because we know that's not true."

"Hey," Piper put her hand on my arm, "if it's because you don't want to be with him alone, I'll come with you with Jason and we can have a little party. Or we'll, go out to see the ball drop."

"There's no use fighting you is there?" I put up one last stand of resistance, though I don't really know why. I do kind of want to see him.

"Nope!" Piper said cheerfully. 'Now let's find your outfit!"

I looked at her, confused. "Piper, New Year's is two weeks away, why would we need to start planning our outfits now? I haven't even texted Percy yet."

"Right, text him. Then we can plan outfits."

Percy P.O.V

Yes! She could come! I was so excited that I knocked down the tower Danny and I were building.

She looked up at me, slightly agitated, and put down the block that she was about to place on the top of the tower. Then she gave me a small smirk.

"Are you texting Annabeth?" She leaned in to me, trying to see the screen, even though she couldn't read anyway.

I raised my phone above my head so she couldn't reach it. "I don't think that's any of your business little missy." I teased, discreetly trying to put my phone back in my pocket.

"Is she coming over? Is she bringing Charlie?" That name, the one Annabeth is dating or . . . something else.

"Who is Charlie, Danny?" I asked, looking her in the eyes so she would get I was being serious. Danny opened her mouth to speak, but then my mom called for her seemingly out of nowhere. Dam.

Danny wiggled to get out of my grip, but I kept holding her. I needed to know who this Charlie dude was.

"Danny please come to set the table darling!" Mom yelled, and Danny ran from my grasp. Back to square one I guess. I'll ask her later.

Annabeth P.O.V

*New Years*

I tugged uncomfortably at the sparkly hat that Piper was making me wear since I hadn't let her put me in a dress. It was thirty degrees out and she wasn't wearing leggings or anything, I think she's crazy.

We were waiting in Jason's dad's mini van with Piper, Jason, Will, Nico, Frank and Leo. Percy led us down into the garage of his mom's apartment building, as this is the closest parking that we were going to get on new year's in New York City.

Once we were parked we all got out and headed to the subway for time square.

"Hey Annabeth!" Percy greeted me enthusiastically, which made me feel bad. He's always so nice to me. "I'm so happy that you finally had time in your schedule so that we could meet. Too bad that Hazel and Drew couldn't come though." He shrugged while I feel the guilt of leaving Charlie with them creep into my consciousness.

"Yeah," I muttered, "too bad."

We listened to a lot of good bands, and all of the boys practically died when Beyonce performed.

"Oh my god!" Percy and Jason screamed, jumping up and down. "I love you Beyonce!"

The other fans were excited, but no one else this far back in the crowd was as ecstatic as they were.

They were a bunch of dorks. Cute dorks I add, but I still couldn't help feeling embarrassed as they drew attention to us.

"Annabeth dance with me!" Percy grabbed hold of my hand and twirled me in close to him. I stayed against him but I didn't dance. I just cuddled against him jumping in the cold.

I checked Percy's watch, 11:55, almost midnight. I started to feel tired and slouched against him. He wrapped his arms around me and stopped dancing as wildly. It was so warm, I just wanted to stay here forever.

I must have fallen asleep because when I snapped back into consciousness people were counting down.

"Five...FOUR...THREE...TWO...ONE!" There was a colective happy new years from about everyone in time's square.

Percy looked at me, as if he was asking me permission to kiss. I was so tired though I just leaned into him. No, I wanted to kiss him, but my head seemed glued to his shoulder. I could feel Percy laughing, and her just wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.

Drew P.O.V

*earlier his evening (around nine-ish)*

Charlie is the best baby I have ever meet. And I know a lot about babies. Let's just say Aphrodite gets around. He was nice the whole evening, ate what I gave him, didn't cry, didn't even need to be entertained by the t.v. that Annabeth said was ok to put him in front of.

And to top it off it felt like Hazel and I were his mother's. Call me crazy, but I want to raise a child with Hazel now, even platonically. Ok, maybe not platonically. I'll get over it, it's just another straight girl crush anyways.

I put Charlie down in his crib, a little sad to stop playing with him. He held onto my pinkie finger and looked into my eyes with his.

"Goodnight little cutie." I sang. "Sweet dreams little man."

I turned off the lights and quietly headed downstairs where Hazel was waiting for the ball to drop.

"Ice cream?" I asked her, walking toward the kitchen.

"With your peanut butter cookies please." She said just loud enough that I would hear her and Charlie wouldn't.

I had found out that those were her favorite cookies and immediately started baking a batch. They were working on rebuilding the bakery, but I was still currently unemployed.

I sat down next to her and gave her a bowl of chocolate ice cream with two cookies inside. I pulled up the blanket so I could sit under it with her. There was another blanket across the room, but that was far away and Hazel was warm.

We got to eleven thirty before Hazel started getting tired. We both perked up when Beyonce started performing. And we both whipped out our phones to record the t.v once we saw Percy and Jason jumping on screen both screaming that they love Beyonce. This will be great for whenever they get married.

We got to the countdown and Hazel started getting really excited. We both stood up from the couch and started jumping to the count.

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!" We both yelled, but not loud enough to wake up Charlie, we made sure of that.

Then I don't know what came over me, but I leaned into Hazel, and looked into her eyes. Our lips were barely even centimeters apart.
