ey guys sorry for the late update, we were just a bit lazy.

Hazel P.O.V

I sprinted away, not knowing if Drew had even seen me. I didn't want to stay around and hear lame excuses, I just wanted this aching in my chest to go away.

While I was running I passed a janitor's closet, and to my chagrin, it was locked. I must have looked so pathetic, tears streaming down my face and desperately clinging to the door handle as if my life depended on it.

I could've just sunk to the floor, and stayed there all night, but along came a middle aged couple who gave me weird looks and lowered my self esteem even more. I left to wallow in pity elsewhere.

In the end I found a nice spot outside near the back of the building tucked under a grand staircase. I burrowed myself deep into the corner to cry.

Percy P.O.V

(A little while earlier)

Frank was talking to Leo, as his date had left to go somewhere and I decided now was the best chance I'd get to talk to Annabeth. So I quickly told the guys that I was heading out for some air. Not wanting them to think that I was abandoning them or anything.

I rushed down the set of stairs in the back, but there was no phone reception - and way too many people. I looked despairingly at the pods of people standing near each other, talking and laughing.

I really wanted to talk to Annabeth, but I was wasting time with my other friends trying to call her. I looked down at my phone, Annabeth contact pulled up, my finger close to the call button. She might not even pick up for all I know. I looked back at the door, where I could go and hang out with my friends. But as I gazed out a horse barn caught my eyes. The perfect place to call Annabeth, no one would be in the barn at this late hour. Thoughts of my friends momentarily left me as I sprinted toward the barn, thinking only of my conversation with Annabeth.

It turns out the best reception here was sitting on the fence that faced the hotel. Not only did I have five bars, but I had a gorgeous view of the hotel. I pressed dial on Annabeth contact and waited. Voicemail. I try again. Voicemail.

I looked at the time and to my dismay it was ten thirty. Annabeth always went to bed around nine thirty to ten, no wonder she isn't responding. I spent all that time trying to get away from them so I wouldn't hurt their feelings and now it was to late to even talk to Annabeth.

I felt a presence on my back, right before I fell, or rather, was pushed off the fence. I quickly dusted myself off and spun around to face my attacker. Apparently they were a horse.

"I'm so sorry, I don't know what got into him, he just cantered right toward you. I tried to stop him but I guess he thought you were a threat or something." I saw the girl on the back of the horse, she had tanned skin and her hair was pulled back under her helmet.

"Uh, it's ok." I mumbled, not expecting to run into anyone up here.

"By the way," she added, "I'm Brinly, Brin for short." She winked The horse she was on looked really friendly. He didn't seem like he would get mad, but I don't really know anything about horses.

"I'm Percy." I reached my hand out awkwardly, forgetting for a moment that she was on a horse. Her horse nuzzled my hand.

"So what are you doing out here all alone?" Brin hopped off her horse and tied him to the post.

"I was trying to call my friend." I sighed internally, wanting to talk to Annabeth.

"Oh, cool. Do you maybe . . . wanna ride with me?" She leaned towards me and grabbed my arm. Was she flirting with me? No, she was just being nice.

Brin was cool, we talked for a long time before heading back to my friends.

Frank P.O.V (A few minutes after Hazel's P.O.V)

Percy had been gone for a while, I wondered if he was ok.

"Hey Leo I'm going to look for Percy, do you want to stay here incase he comes back?" I say as I pick up my jacket from the back of my chair.

"Yeah I'll hold down the fort Captain." He saluted me and gave me a little wink. I roll my eyes and head to the back of the hotel.

When I walked down the stairs I thought I heard some one crying. I quickened my pace a little and looked around to see if there actually was someone. There was a few people out here, but I definitely could hear crying now.

I looked on the side of the staircase, and sure enough there was someone curled up in the corner.

"Hey, are you alright?" I call out, not wanting to spook them. Obviously they weren't alright, they were all alone and crying.

"Leave me alone." The little voice snuffled. Hazel...?

Even though she said to go away I couldn't just leave her alone crying like this. Even though she didn't like me I still liked her. I walked slowly over to her and slid down next to her.

I didn't say anything for a while, I just let her cry. I wouldn't have known what to say either. She didn't yell at me so that was a good sign, but she didn't talk to me either.

I wanted to brush the tears away from her eyes and tell her everything would be alright, but how would I know that. I wanted to pull her in a big bear hug, so I did. I had already been sitting there for about ten minutes, if she didn't want me there she would have already told me.

Luckily for me she curled up in my embrace and started crying on my shoulder. Now I know it would be a bad thing to say, but I had the hardest time not grinning like an idiot.

"What's wrong?" I finally ask.

This sent Hazel into an even bigger fit of sobs. Ugh why was I terrible at this? What do I do? I decided on rubbing circles on her back, it seemed to work.

Hazel managed to croak out a few words after a minute had gone by. "Drew" "kissed" and "another." So Drew must have cheated on her. I knew that she was no good for Hazel, I didn't like her from the beginning and look how she left my Hazel. I hugged her tighter.

I wasn't ever letting her go.

Leo P.O.V

Alice was getting tired, she said she wasn't but that was clearly not true as she kept sagging and snapping back up again. I checked the clock on my phone, Frank had been gone for a half an hour, which means Percy had been gone for over forty minutes. I hoped that they hadn't gotten kidnapped.

"Hey Alice why don't we get some fresh air." I poked her which made her snap up again.

"Huh?" She looked around and got a little panicked. She must have forgotten where she was.

"Let's go outside." I say close to her ear so she can hear me.

"But it's gonna be cold out there," she slouches her head against my shoulder.

"Ok, then let's get you to your room. Do you know wich one that is?"

She nodded into my shoulder and handed me the room key. Which would of been helpful if it had the room on it. It didn't.

"Hey what's your room number?" I wiggled my shoulder, hoping that she would wake up. Did she get roofied? I scrutinized her, looking for any sign that she got roofied, there was no signs. Well it didn't matter anyway, she was safe with me.

"Come on Alice, what's your room number?" I shook her a little harder, luckily this time I was able to hear her mumble "2L34." I would be lying if I didn't say that I heaved a huge sigh of relief once I got her into her room.

Now time to find Percy and Frank.

Frank was easy to find, I spotted him, we made eye contact and I left him with Hazel. I wondered if they were together, maybe an affair! No, Frank is to nice for that.

It took me forever though to find Percy. Well it took me two minutes but it seemed like forever.

He was with Brin. Why was I surprised, every girl ever ditched me for him. He was just a better person, and a better candidate for a boyfriend. Especially since he and Annabeth wouldn't get together which means he was too nice to let a girl down. Or maybe too oblivious.

I mean they weren't kissing or anything, but every girl who had met Percy ditched me, trying to date him. Percy never went for them though, he is very committed with his relationships. Well, goodbye Brin I guess. Or maybe she would be the one to finally realize what a cool guy I was and would still go out with me!

Then she turned toward me. Was it cowardly to duck behind a bush? I sure hope not because that is exactly what I did. I mean, I didn't want her to think I was a stalker, I just wanted to find Percy. Then I just waited for Percy to walk by. Hopefuly he and Brin would head in different directions so she wouldn't see me.

The gods sided with me this time and Brin went back in the stable while Percy headed toward my bush. Then I realized I was behind a bush. Also how weird it would look to be hiding behind one.

"Leo what are you doing?" Percy asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Looking for you." I raised my eyes hoping he wouldn't ask anymore question.

"Behind a bush?" He narrowed his eyes, confused.

I shrugged, hoping that he would get that it was a bit too complicated to explain. Luckily, he dropped it.

"Okay then let's go back." He held out his hand to help me up from behind the bush.

"We should probably walk around so we don't disturb Frank and Hazel." I nodded.

"Wait what?" Percy cocked his head to the side like a confused puppy. I guess he kinda was anyway.

"When I went looking for you they were hugging at the bottom of the stairs." I shrugged. "Anyways what were you doing? You were gone forever." Please not Brin, please not Brin.

"I was just talking to a girl named Brin, she was pretty cool, you might like her." He said causally. I must be right then.

Brin will be different.

Drew P.O.V

(the next morning)

Hazel didn't come back to the room we were sharing with Piper last night. I was worried that she saw me. First, to clear things up, I did not give that person consent to kiss me. They just, I don't know came up to me and started heatedly making out with me. I was just so startled that I didn't know what to do. Hazel seemed off the whole night, so I just hoped that she didn't see that.

Luckily Hazel was there for breakfast. Unlikely the whole table, expt Piper, was glaring daggers at me. So she saw.

"Hazel can we talk...privately?" I hoped that she would understand.

Hazel's voice chilled me, it was nothing like her usual friendly demeanor. Though, if I did what she though I did I would deserve it.

Once we were in a quiet hallway I began to explain. Or rather tried to before Hazel cut me off.

"Look I don't want any excuses. I want to break up." The voice seemed to catch in her throat.

"Hazel they kissed me! I didn't want that at all I like you!" I tried to keep my voice calm, but the least I could do was keep myself out of hysterics.

Hazel sighed and looked down. "I believe you." Her voice was quiet, and soft, sad.

"That's great!" I exclaimed, reaching for her hand.

"But, I'm still breaking-" she took a deep breath "up with you. I just, don't feel the same way anymore. I don't know why. It's nothing to do with you. I, 'I'm just, I don't know, but I just don't want to be in a relationship right now."

I took a deep breath. "OK."

Leo P.O.V

Ding! My phone gave a little chirp. It was from Brin.

Hey Leo, I'm going to have to cancel on our date plans for tonight. I'm sorry I just realized that I have feelings for someone else. You're a really nice guy and all. Friends?

I just had one question.

Is his name Percy?

yeah! how'd you guess?

Guess Brin wasn't the one after all.
