"Otoori it's good to see you, Haruhi and I were having a talk if you don't mind coming back later"Tamaki released Haruhis hand as Kyoya got closer. He wasn't really in the mood for a fight and to be honest after what happened the last time he saw Kyoya, he wasn't really sure if now would be a good moment for a reunion. Tamaki took a step back from Haruhi as she stood there now, with her hands stuffed into her pocket.
"I don't think that'll be possible Souh, my fiancé and I have plans this evening, and I'd appreciate it if you never came into contact with her again"Kyoya didn't even bother to attempt to sound polite as he grabbed Haruhi and placed her behind him, out of Tamakis reach. He could feel Haruhi gripping his shirt from behind.
"Fiancé? I see, Haruhi were you that desperate for attention that you settled for Otoori here?"Tamaki stood there ignoring the stares from people walking across the seat. His princely area disappeared as fast as it had come. Kyoya could feel Haruhis hands drop from his shirt as she took a step back, and then she moved to stand beside him
"Haruhi.."Kyoya looked down at Haruhi who now stood beside him, she had stopped crying and had her fists in small balls at her sides. She looked strong or at the very least not scared.
"You don't know anything Tamaki"Haruhi looked up at him, her eyes meeting his. But Tamaki seemed caught off guard by this, just a few moments ago she was shaking and too afraid to even face him.
"Then will you talk to me Haruhi? Tell me how I'm wrong"Tamaki glanced over to Kyoya who was glaring at him now, but he knew Kyoya wouldn't interrupt them now, it was Haruhis decision now. Haruhi stepped forward as Kyoya took a breath, he knew where this was going.
"I'll talk to you then…. Kyoya can you give me a moment?"Haruhi couldn't look up at him, she knew he'd look hurt or disappointed, but either way, she didn't want to see him like that. But she finally had her nerve back so she couldn't back down now.
"You can have as much time as you need Haruhi, I'll be returning home than"Kyoya turned away from them, not bothering to look back at Haruhi who he knew must have been hurt by his words. But he got into his limo and closed the door as Haruhi walked away with Tamaki to a nearby table.
"Dammit it all Haruhi.."
-Tamaki and Haruhi—
"Haruhi.. will you allow me to apologize to you now"Tamaki reached over and attempted to grab Haruhis hand but she pulled it away from him. Her eyes were staring past him and she sat there ridged.
"I'll listen"Haruhi voice was hard and cold as she sat there, unsure of what to do now. She looked around for Kyoya's limo, and realized he had really left. Had she hurt him so much? Of course she knew she had since after all, Kyoya wanted them to be together and after this morning she knew how serious he was about it.
"Haruhi I've made a horrible mistake, and your all I've thought about since that awful day I left. Please give me the chance to have you again? We can be a family"Tamaki let his tears fall dramatically onto the table as he looked up at her, hoping she'd see his blue eyes filled with emptiness.
"You left me Tamaki, and I was in a lot of pain… for a long time, I had nightmares but now…I know I don't need you, because you never loved me, you don't love me like he does"Haruhi looked at him, her eyes seeing past his tears and into his eyes, he didn't love her, he only thought he did, because somewhere in his mind he thought that loving her and not loving Fumie didn't matter. But it did to Haruhi, Fumie was a part of her.
They sat there silent for a moment. Tamaki whipped the tears from his eyes and straightened up, he looked at her now with no false emotions.
"I want you back Haruhi"Tamaki didn't seem to get what she was saying, he knew that she was rejecting him, but didn't understand the reason.
"I don't want to see you again"Haruhi stood up form the table prepared to leave, she picked her apron off the table and placed it over her arm. But Tamaki sat there motionless, looking at her.
"You don't know him that well Haruhi, what do you think he does on those nights when he doesn't stay with you? I'm sure those must be often"Tamaki knew he was hitting a nerve, there was no greater way to kill a relationship then to place doubt into someone's mind. Tamaki may have been an idiot but it there was one thing he understood it was people. And Haruhi who someone whose mind he knew very well. So when she stopped he knew he had her.
"You're not giving him anything are you? I'm surprised he's stayed interested this long, with the lovely women he has working for him"Tamaki stood up from his chair and moved over to where Haruhi was now standing. He placed his hand on her shoulder but she pulled away quickly
"You don't think you'd really be able to keep him do you Haruhi? After all you're not that kind of girl and I highly doubt you're in any type of emotional conditions to form any real romantic connection"Tamaki could see by the way Haruhi was gripped her apron he had pushed something in her. And he was going to let that eat away at her.
"You should leave him Haruhi and come back to me, before he leaves you"And with that Tamaki just left, he knew Haruhi would be thinking about what he had said and at that point she'd be thinking about him, it was only a matter of time before she'd call him. At least that's what he thought.
Haruhi stood there alone on the side walk. Her eyes staring down into the dark green of her apron. As she thought about what Tamaki said, she tried to push it away, but was he right? Was Kyoya too good for her? and it so…
'Am I not giving him enough?'
