I have no words to describe how sorry I am. Let's just say my life has been absolute hell recently.

I found out I'm depressed, have anxiety and bipolar disorder. I'm failing my exams, my girlfriend broke up with me and is now spreading rumours about me, making everyone hate me. Like seriously, if I hear one more insult, I'm going.

I don't even know why I'm telling you guys this, I just need to let it out, you know. I'm fucked up to say the least.

I don't even have the energy or motivation to get up in the morning any more. I'm just too tired.

But I felt so bad because I haven't updated this in so long!

So here it is.

P.S - Kurt's texts are ITALIC, Blaine's texts are BOLD.

When The City Turns Dark

Part Six

The bell called, declaring it was lunch time. Rachel Berry smiled and stood from behind her desk, gathering up her work before putting it all into one big, hot pink folder and walking happily out of the classroom. The Jewish girl dreamed about being as big as Barbara Streisand and making it onto the Broadway stage as she made her way to her locker.

When she turned the corner on the route to her destination, she saw Kurt opening his locker and dropping his books off and her face lit up. Just the person I need to talk to!

Rachel hurried towards him. "Kurt!"

The boy turned at the sound of his name being called, only for his shoulders to slump once he discovered who shouted him. "Rachel, before you even bother asking me, I do not know where Finn is-"

"It's not about that." Rachel quickly stated before Kurt started ranting his usual 'Just because we're brothers, doesn't mean I know his every move' rant.

Kurt closed his locker and leaned on it, directly facing the small, Jewish girl. He prepared himself for whatever was to come. "Okay, what is it then?"

"Well, I for one think its time for a duet in Glee Clu-"

Kurt sighed, his eyes rolling. Of course this is what she would want to speak about. "Rachel, I don't have time to talk about what song you and Finn should sing whilst looking into each other's eyes as if you are in some sort of weird trance. I have to go and meet Blaine."

"Actually," she said forcefully, "I want you to sing with me."

"Why?" Kurt asked curiously, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Yes, I know my duets with Finn are simply outstanding and the chemistry between us is powerful and beautiful at the same time-"

Kurt snorted, causing Rachel to pause and grant him with a bitch glare.

"-but believe it or not, Kurt, I like performing with you. Our voices go well together, and I think a duet between us is long overdue."

Kurt smiled at the girl in front of him. "Fine, I'll sing with you."

"Yay!" Rachel said, a grin broke out on her lips. "Okay, we'll talk about songs later. You can go see Blaine now."

Kurt nodded and gave Rachel a heart-warming hug, before walking down the corridor out of Rachel's sight.

Meanwhile, Blaine sat at the piano in the Choir room. He moved his fingers and pressed down a few keys to create a delicate song. He hummed to the music, daydreaming about his future with Kurt. Maybe when he and Kurt had a baby this could be a lullaby. Blaine smiled at the thought. Yeah, we'll make it.

Suddenly, Tina and Sam burst through the door, disturbing the peaceful atmosphere. They smiled apologetically and shut the door behind them. Blaine stood from the piano and faced them.

"Nightbird." Blaine saluted. Sam and Tina mirrored this.

"Asian Persuasion."

"The Blonde Chameleon."

"So," Blaine put his hands behind his back. "Will this take long? I'm meeting Kurt."

"Not at all." Sam said.

"We just want to ask you a question." Tina said happily.

"What?" Blaine asked.

"Do you know who The Llamanator is yet?" Sam spoke up. Tina looked at Blaine expectingly.

"Um.." Blaine thought. "Not exactly."

"Dude, really?" Sam said disappointingly.

"You haven't seen any suspicious activity? At all?" Tina said in disbelief.

"..No."

Tina and Sam sighed, upset that they had no clues. They'd been on this case for months.

"Well you better have something soon. Boss is getting anxious." Sam told Blaine, who sighed in response.

"Fine, I'll work on it."

"Make sure you do," Tina said. She hated being so harsh on Blaine, but she had to be if they wanted to solve the case.

"See you later, Blaine." Sam patted him on the shoulder before leading Tina out of the room.

The short boy sighed before walking to the cafeteria. Kurt was probably wondering where he was.

Kurt got to the cafeteria to find that Blaine was nowhere to be seen. Kurt got out his cell phone to text Blaine.

Hey, I'm in the cafeteria. Where are you? - Kurt xx

Kurt pocketed his phone and waited. He looked around him, the loud cafeteria moved quickly as the friendship groups and cliques laughed and joked about their everyday lives, gossiping about the new girl, or the cute boys on the football team. Kurt's cell vibrated in his pocket, distracting him from the chaotic scene in front of him.

Hey Kurt, I'm just around the corner. I'm so sorry, I got held up in class. - Blaine xox

Kurt read the text and returned the cell phone to his back pocket, starting to daydream again. Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him.

"I'm sorry I kept you waiting, gorgeous." Blaine said in a deep voice. He had his hands on Kurt's hips, making the taller boy shiver. He quickly turned Kurt around so he was facing him and removed his hands so that there wasn't too much PDA. It was still High School, after all.

"It's okay." Kurt said breathlessly. Blaine grinned wickedly.

"Do you want to come over tonight?" The caramel eyed boy asked with hope.

"Of course." Kurt smiled coyly. "Now come on, let's get something to eat." They both walked to the food queue.

"Something to eat? Already? Jeez, Hummel, you're very eager today! This is a public place!" Blaine commented with a smile and a wink. Kurt frowned in confusion before his face changed to realisation.

"I mean food!" Kurt laughed loudly. "Blaine Warbler, you're disgusting!"

"Disgusting? That's not what you said last-" Before he could finish his sentence, Kurt grabbed a cream cake off the food table and shoved it in his face. The cake fell to the floor, leaving a nice, creamy residue on Blaine's face.

"Really?" Blaine stated. Acting unamused by Kurt's shenanigans. Kurt smirked and shrugged in response, wiping some cream off Blaine's cheek with his index finger, and then licking it very graphically with his tongue.

This caused Blaine to have some very undapper thoughts to say the last.

Kurt picked up the red tray with his selected food on it and walked over to the Glee table, swaying his hips. The members of the Glee Club we're oblivious to what he just did. He sat down and lifted his head from the tray to see Mercedes grinning at him. Oh yeah, she wasn't so oblivious. She saw it.

Mercedes leaned over the table and whispered "That's my Boo." Just before Blaine came to join them.

It's not very good, I know. I'm sorry.

Any guesses as to who the 'Boss' is?

Any requests for the next chapter? Let me know!

Happy reading! :)
