Author: So here we are the final chapter of students and teachers. I am quite sad to see it go but I have other stories to write and if I don't then the ideas will never leave my head and I will GO CRAZY! *coughs* Anyway thanks for reading all of this. I am very grateful to those who stuck with me to the very end.
Students and Teachers: Chapter Eighteen
Danny growled low in his throat as he flew through the ghost zone. After defeating Plasmius he swore never to come back here, not only because of the unwanted memories he had of becoming a half ghost, but because of the hatred of it's residents. Many of the ghosts he passed as he flew were ones he remembered fighting when he was younger. Despite that fact no one made any move to stop him as he flew, a fact that he was grateful for. When he finally reached the portal for the human world he ducked into without another thought. Tucker didn't know that he'd kept the portal in his parents house active still, all he had to do was enter the key code on the ghost zone side for the machine to turn on. It was home Plasmius constantly entered the human world before Danny killed him.
Plasmius.
Just the thought of the ghost had Danny shivering. In the beginning, when Danny first met the man they were good friends. Plasmius knew more about ghost powers then anyone else, soo after months of begging, pleading, and following the other ghost around he got the man to agree to train him. Soon Plasmius became one of Danny's best friends, then things changed. Danny wasn't sure what it was that did it but it seemed Plasmius turned cold over night.
First he started picking on Danny's friends every time they met, then suddenly it escalated to almost injuring the people close to him. What finally broke the bond between them was when Plasmius almost killed the guy Danny had been dating. When Danny confronted him about it all hell broke loose and when it was over Plasmius was dead.
Danny on the other hand swore not to get involved with ghost business after that. The ghosts of the other zone where happy to obey his orders not to cross over into his town anymore.
Letting out a frustrated sigh Danny dashed through the now open portal and through the house he'd grown up in without a second glance. He didn't know where Sidney was, or where Vlad was he just knew deep in his heart he had to find one or the other before it was too late. He was flying around a corner when he stopped his eyes locked on the impossible scene in front of him.
Impossible.
And yet nothing changed what he saw in front of him.
Plasmius.
A much younger version of him, holding what looked like the limp body of Sidney in front of him as his hands glowed a bright red. Tucker and Clockwork stood behind what looked like part of a barrier Technus and Skulker with them. But Danny's eyes were locked on the ghosts in front of him. Gently he floated to the ground barely making a sound as he landed. Still Plasmius turned those dark red eyes on him a cruel smirk.
"Ah Mr. Fenton it's such a pleasure for you to join us at last. I must confess I got bored waiting for you to show and decided to occupy myself with your little friend here." Plasmius smirked before tossing the limp body down at Danny's feet. "He didn't last long I'm afraid, it seems with this new body my more powers are more "unstable". No matter I have all the time in the world to use them now."
The moment Plasmius stopped speaking Danny's eyes grew wide. Quickly they darted over to where Tucker sat cuts and bruises evident even on the mans dark skin. Still nothing cut Tucker as seeing the disappointed look his best friend was giving him.
"We thought it was the only way to save you Danny..." He doesn't say anything more as the look Danny gives him turns into fierce glares.
"You swore Tucker. You swore never to let another person go through what I did." Danny grounded out feeling an old distant rage filling him.
"To be truthful Daniel this boy wanted it, he wanted the chance to save you. To be with you. It was easy to crush his hopes however." Plasmius sneered catching Danny's attention again.
"Plasmius I don't know what you did but you will leave Vlad's body now before I do something drastic."
"And exactly what position are you in to tell me that Daniel?" As Danny sputtered Plasmius walked forward stopping just short of a foot away from Danny, "You see Daniel you really have no power over me. For years you have forgotten your ghost half letting it grow weak enough that a mere child was able to capture you. I on the other hand dwelled in between space and time growing stronger so I could have me revenge against you."
Danny narrowed his eyes at the ghost in front of him. He knew that he was no match for Plasmius at the moment, not after all the things that Sidney put him through as well as the fact he hadn't been active for years. Plus he couldn't harm Vlad, no matter what, he had to come up with a plan.
"Take him down Mr. Fenton! That's not Vlad! Vlad would never be so weak!" Skulker shouted adding his two cents to the conversation.
A loud smack followed the comment, but what Danny was focused on was the fact that Plasmius seemed to flinch when Skulker spoke up.
Maybe Vlad is still in there. Danny thought.
Slowly a plan seemed to form in his mind.
Plasmius cursed under his breath as he felt the boy begin to stir in the back of his mind. He thought the boy had faded away into unconsciousness, it seemed though the voices of his so called "Friends". Growling he pushed the boy away again building a wall that would keep him locked away. Satisfied that there would be no more intervention he turned his attention back to Danny. He was about to speak when two rings formed around the other mans midsection and he returned to his human form.
"What is the meaning of this Daniel? We both know you stand no chance against me in this form." Plasmius asked raising one eye.
"I will not fight you, I refuse to hurt the one I love." Danny replied causing Plasmius to raise both eyebrows.
"Interesting Daniel but I must confess I do not share-" Plasmius started to reply in his smug tone.
"I wasn't talking about you Plasmius." Danny interrupted.
"If you are talking about that boy then I am sorry to say he no longer resides in this body. To him you are nothing more then the man who betrayed him, since we share the same feelings it was easy to lock him away and take over his body." Plasmius scowled at the human, "I had hoped to defeat you in ghost form but defeating you in any form will satisfy me."
Danny just stood there, he didn't flinch even when the first blast connected with his chest. It burned, even more then usual since he was in ghost form, but he just bit his bottom lip before turning to look back at Plasmius. The ghost growled before duplicating himself again and again before following his clones as the shot blast after blast at the man.
Danny curled into a ball trying to block out the pain that was coming from the burns that were now covering his entire body. Tucker tried to rush over to help him but Clockwork and Technus held him back. Danny just clenched his eyes shut his hand going to his pocket before he held still, Plasmius stopped his assault floating down until he was standing before Danny his eyes studying the beaten form in front of him. He had hoped for something more. Something more satisfying then this, huffing Plasmius slammed his foot into Danny's stomach grinning when he heard a loud groan.
"I am far from finished with you Daniel. When I a done you will be nothing more then a broken shell, a husk of the man you once were." He snarled as he ground his foot deeper into Danny's stomach.
"Mr. Fenton."
Plasmius scowled at the sound of the other voice. The boy was stirring again, most likely because of the man. He could feel the little twit actually trying to break through the wall as Danny groaned.
"This is what you wanted. Him broken. Him to feel the same pain you felt why are you trying to stop me?"Plasmius asked as he felt Vlad continue his assault leaning down to pick Danny up and hold him in the air so both could see the state he was in.
"NO! I don't want to see him like this! Stop it give me my body back!" Vlad shouted back at him his assault spurred on further by the sight.
"I don't think so, you see I will have my revenge. And you cannot stop me." Plasmius smirked.
The argument was growing heated As Plasmius slowly wound his hand around Danny's throat and began squeezing lightly. He was rewarded with a gasp as his grip tightened Plasmius, with a smile he knew Danny would have to change into his ghost form soon or end up dying by the hand of his so called lover.
Tucker growled as Clockwork and Technus held him back, he wanted nothing more then to rush over and help his friend.
"Let me go i have to help him!" He growled straining to get to his friend.
"No you'll be killed on site!" Technus gritted between his teeth holding down his love and teacher.
"The boy's right Tucker, besides this is a test. If Vlad allows Plasmius to kill Danny then his feelings aren't strong enough. However if Vlad stops him then there might be a chance to save the both of them." Clockwork said observing the two in front of him.
Tucker ground his teeth together but he knew they were right. He could only sit back and watch as his friend struggled for air.
"Stop! STOP!" Vlad shouted unable to bear seeing his love in such a situation anymore.
Danny reached out as Vlad watched his hand tighten further around his lovers neck. This was not what he wanted, not at all! Here Danny was refusing to defend himself because he didn't want to hurt him, there eyes met (although he was seeing everything second hand from Plasmius) and Vlad could see the feelings Danny held for him burning in his eyes.
A moment later Danny dropped to the ground chocking in air as Plasmius stared in shock at his hand. He watched with something that was a mix between fear and shock as Plasmius switched back to Vlad then switched back again. It was obvious to all that Vlad was fighting the ghosts control.
"What are you doing?!" Plasmius ground out before Vlad's body shifted to it's human form once again.
"I w-won't let you hurt D-Danny anymore!" Vlad's voice seemed to struggle to get out but once it did Danny's eyes widened.
"Foolish boy you cannot stop me. I am stronger then you!" Plasmius growled out.
The internal battle seemed to grow more and more heated as Vlad's body continuously switched back and forth. Finally it seemed Vlad managed to gain control, although his eyes still flashed a dangerous red as he continued to fight Plasmius.
"P-Please Danny kill me before he gets control back. I-I can't hurt you anymore." Vlad pleaded his eyes watering with tears.
Every gasped in shock at the words, everyone besides Danny. Moving to his knees Danny reached out to his young lover. Instead of hitting him however or doing anything of that sort Danny pulled Vlad into a hug.
"How can you ask that of me? Vlad I would do anything to keep you safe." He murmured. "I love you."
Danny pulled Vlad tightly into his arms not caring when the shifting between forms started again. Plasmius fought to get away from him while Vlad struggled to get closer. Grunting from a stab to his side (courtesy of Plasmius) Danny managed to reach into his pocket and pull out the sedative he had grabbed from his parents lab. As soon as Vlad shifted into his human form once more he slid the needle into one of the boy's veins. The result was almost instantaneous, Vlad slumped against the older man his eyes fluttering shut before he went unconscious.
Seeing that the danger was over Tucker rushed over to his friend everyone else following his lead after a moment. Danny stood up cradling Vlad in his arms looking tired and older.
"Danny are you alright?" Tucker asked as soon as he reached the man.
"I'll be fine, I've had worse done to me." Danny replied.
"Is he-?" Tucker started to ask.
"Vlad will be fine, I gave him a sedative that will keep him out for a few hours. After that I have to find some way to suppress his powers until I can teach him how to use them." Danny said reaching over to brush a stray hair from his young lovers face.
"Danny we both know it's too dangerous-" Tucker started to say, not getting far thanks to clockwork slamming a hand over his mouth.
"Tucker I am not going to leave him like this, I know what it is like to be alone with no one to help you. He is mine to care for and nothing you say will change that." Danny said locking eyes (figuratively speaking when it came t Clockwork) with the two men standing in front of him refusing to back down.
-Five years later-
Vlad groaned loudly as he finally put away the papers he'd been working on for the past three hours. He always knew that college courses were going to be harder then regular ones but this was getting kind of ridiculous. The five page essay and two books reports was only the tip of the ice burg. He also had to create a video demonstration showing the rises and declines in the stock market for the past three years as well as writing up another paper for his business class. He could only be glad that since he was born his parents had insisted getting him the best education he could have, which meant he was ahead of schedule for all his assignments. It was just a pain in the ass doing them.
"Finished yet?" A deep voice from behind him asked as two arms wrapped themselves around his neck.
"Yeah for the most part, tough day?" Vlad asked tipping his head back to see Danny looking down at him.
"I don't understand how kids these days can just think that they can copy entire assignments straight from a book and I won't notice." Danny muttered before reaching over to pick up one of Vlad's papers.
"I blame the internet." Vlad joked coxing a smile from his lover.
It had been five years since the incident had passed making him half ghost. Honestly Vlad could say that things hadn't turned out the way he thought they would. His new powers were sealed away until he learned how to use them properly, and not only did he have to have extra lessons every day with Clockwork he also had to spar with Skulker and Technus since the two swore they wanted to become ghost hunters too (skulker for the girls, and Technus for the technology/getting to see Tucker more). The only real good thing that came out of it was the fact that it meant that he spent more time with Danny who helped him through everything.
Danny was there every step of the way helping him to get through his classes, and even talked his parents into letting him attend the college of his choice. The fact that Danny was asked to become a professor at the same college after he was accepted was a coincidence but a great one. Now Vlad lived with his lover and although they had fights some times Vlad felt more complete then he ever had.
Leaning up Vlad pressed a chaste kiss to Danny's lips smiling when Danny lightly kissed him back.
