Hello,
I have a few things to say.
First of all, I am unable to devote the time to continue writing anymore due to extreme time constraints. So this story, Destinies that Bind, is officially discontinued. I am sorry. I lost my original outline because my external hard-drive was recently stolen, but what I can remember will be at the bottom of this notice. If I remember any more, I will edit this.
Secondly, I believe I am done with . I have zero desire to write anything, so any other stories that have yet to be completed will remain that way. I may pop in from time to time to check out any popular Zelda-related fanfiction stories, or if I have a spark of inspiration I may write a one shot, but other than that I am finished. It has been fun, I have enjoyed my time on here...but I believe it is time to move on to bigger and better things.
Lastly, I have a small set of my absolute favourite stories on my Kindle Paperwhite so I don't even have a use for this account anymore, however I will keep my account open in case anyone enjoys my stories and/or wants to re-read them. Honestly I find particular stories to be embarrassing, but maybe that is a natural reaction as I wrote them when I was younger.
With those three main points out of the way, the following is what I can remember from my plot outline:
1. 65 chapters (+ 2 chapters of epilogue)
2. One of the big reveals was Terra was a distant descendent of the Goddess Hylia from Skyward Sword. The 'bird tattoo' on her back signified that, and it was foreshadowed from the very beginning. It protected her from evil elements throughout the entire plot. At one point in the story, she was hit by some dark magic which caused her bird 'tattoo' to hurt a lot and rendered her incapable of fighting (or doing anything to care for herself) for quite awhile until she got it healed.
3. The 'dark shadow thing' in Kakariko and later on in the Capital is Demise from Skyward Sword, although in a very weakened form. He continues to bother them throughout the story, his powers becoming increasingly dangerous.
4. Link and Terra journey throughout Hyrule, eventually collecting the other 2 spiritual stones (Goron's Ruby & Zora's Sapphire) in their appropriate places. They have to defeat bosses in order to get them, as per usual Zelda tradition. In between collecting the second and third stone, Demise shows up again and attacks. In my outline, I remember actually writing: "The Master Sword has no effect on Demise, and they barely escape with their lives because they have plot armour,". I thought it was funny, heh.
5. After collecting the spiritual stones, the Master Sword is powered up once again. It can now do Skyward Strikes, enabling the duo to have a chance to defeat Demise. This also healed Terra's back because magic.
6. A few chapters consisting of backstories, battle preparations, specialized training, and some lore. Also some carefree moments for Link and Terra before the final fight.
7. In the story's climax, Terra and Link had to team up with the Hero's Shade in order to defeat him. Terra rides around on Epona shooting light arrows, until Epona stumbles from exhaustion and falls to the ground. Terra goes flying off the horse, but transforms into a hawk quickly enabling her to fly away unharmed.
8. The Hero's Shade dies protecting Link in a swordfight vs Demise. The Hero's Shade didn't really stand a chance, really, he was just buying enough time for Link to charge up a Skyward Strike.
9. Link finishes charging up his Skyward Strike but misses. Terra-Hawk attempts to buy Link some time to charge up again, but Demise just swats her away an brings up a force-field. Its now just a battle between Link and Demise now.
10. Link vs Demise was basically a carbon copy of the fight of Link vs Demise in Skyward Sword. It was perfect and I didn't want to change it one bit from its source material. Lots of dodging between the two fighters.
11. Eventually one of Link's Skyward Strikes kills Demise. His dying screams echo throughout Hyrule and its all epic and foreboding.
12. Terra dies from something. I don't really remember from what, but I know she kicks the bucket in the end. I wanted her to be a sort-of tragic hero. Link loses an arm or a leg. Epona is still okay, she's happy and healthy, doing horse things. She still lives with Link.
13. I think the epilogue was bittersweet. The evil is defeated but one of the main characters is dead, the other is maimed for life, and the whole of Hyrule was in rough shape for quite a long time afterwards.
And that's about it. I would like to thank everyone who liked this story, or who liked any of my stories in the past. It was fun and I wish you all long happy lives.
