87 Reviews. Damn, we're only 13 reviews until we hit 100. I can't believe that it's happening so soon. It's like a dream come true. Just kidding. But truly, I really appreciate all your support for this story. I'll keep trying to do my very best, and deliver a story that'll constantly reach a new limit. Enjoy guys, and lets hit that 100. Also I've been writing a Gurren Lagann, a Sword Art Online, and a Pokemon story as well. So give it a go if you have the time. I'm really nervous how this chapter goes. I haven't been writing for so long, other than my new Pokemon fanfic. If there's any issues, just give me a shout. XD

Slowly but surely, unwanted memories of the past returned as fear clouded her mind and judgement. As tears stream down her cheeks, a familiar presence embraced her. Knowing who it was, she buried her head into his chest and gripped his shirt tightly. These emotions were something that she was no longer accustomed to. After living in peace for so long, she has replaced the fear aspect of her life with happiness.

Conan lets out a deep sigh. He already knows the cause behind Ai's traumatic attack. He gently stroked her back, hoping that she would calm down. As he helped her get back on her feet, the three other teenagers decided to join in.

With a worried look on Ayumi's face, she asked, "Is Ai-chan alright?"

Conan's silence was the only response. As Ayumi reached out for Ai's hand, Conan waved it off.

"Should I call an ambulance?" Genta asked, pulling out his cellphone.

"There's no need for you to do that Kojima-san." Ai mumbled. All eyes focused on her, as she lifted her head off of Conan's chest. Wiping her tears away, she cracked a smile. "I'll be fine by tomorrow. But I think the reunion party will have to wait."

"Come on. I'll bring you home." Conan said. "Can you walk?"

"What do you think Sherlock?" Ai growled.

Conan scratched the back of his head and let out a sigh.

"You're so troublesome." Conan said. Hesitantly, he crouched down on the floor, motioning her to get on.

Almost immediately, she began blushing. She looked at the three other spectators, worried about what they would think of them.

"I don't have all day." Conan said with an annoyed tone.

Slowly, she bent down and put her hands around his neck. The feeling of his back sent electrical shocks down her body. At this point, she admitted defeat, as her teenage hormones took over her body. She was pretty sure she was going to die of embarrassment.

"Kill me already." Ai grumbled, trying to cover her face. Conan turned his head to give her a smirk, before receiving a slap to the head.

Approaching the arguing duo, Ayumi went on to ask, "How about if we walk you guys home?"

Forgetting that they weren't alone, they looked at the black haired girl. Glancing at each other, they came to an agreement. "It's not like we can stop you." Conan joked.

Satisfied with his answer, she gave them a large smile. Calling Mitsuhiko and Genta over, they walked side by side.

"Feels like nothing has ever changed." Ayumi said cheerfully.

"We'll there have been some changes…" Conan muttered.

"Wanna share, Edogawa-kun." Ai said with a teasing tone.

Conan sighed. "Why can't you make my life easy?"

"I'll take that as a compliment." Ai said, tightening her arms around Conan's neck.

Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta chuckled on the sidelines. These two were always like this. But Ayumi and Mitsuhiko felt uneasy. It was fine when they were just children, but at this age, it seemed like they were flirting. Their brain accepted the fact that this was just a friendly gesture, but their hearts cannot. They felt like it was more than what meets the eye. And because of this, they were definitely jealous.

Arriving at their destination, they were greeted by Yukiko. Upon seeing Ai on Conan's back, Yukiko's face lit up as Ai mentally slapped herself.

'Here comes the camera.' Ai thought as she cringed a little.

But she was saved, when Yukiko saw the three teenagers that accompanied them. Realizing who they were, she was quite surprised at their changes.

As she invited them inside, the group split into two. Conan and Ai excused themselves as they went upstairs.

Ayumi and Mitsuhiko wanted to follow them, but was stopped when Yukiko pushed them into the living room. They looked over their shoulders as they see Conan and Ai disappear into another room.

-Ai's Room-

Ai couldn't stop trembling. The positive facade that she put up for everyone else has been tough enough. Once they were alone, that outer shell fell apart as she returned back into her fearful state.

"You know I'm not going to let them hurt you." Conan said, trying to comfort her.

Ai pushed him away. "You think that this is all about me?" She cried.

No response came from Conan.

"It was a stupid decision to come back here." She turned away from him. She hated being this powerless. "I'm a curse. First my parents, then my sister, and now…" Before Ai finished that sentence, Conan put a finger in front of her mouth.

"Don't finish that sentence." Conan said, looking straight into her eyes. Ai slowly put her arms around his waist, and hugged him.

"I'm so scared." Ai sobbed. She looks up at him. "I don't want to lose the people that I love."

"You're not going to get rid of me that easily." Conan reassured.

"You know that's not what I mean, jerk." Ai playfully punched him on the arm. A silence followed, and she looked up at him. "Promise me that you won't go after them alone."

Conan rolled his eyes. "No promises."

Ai sighed as she knew that nothing will stop him. "Don't you dare die on me." Ai mumbled. She leaned forwards and their lips crashed into one another. As they pulled away, Ai strictly said, "Understood?"

Conan sighed, before stroking her hair. "Yes, ma'am." He wrapped his arm around her neck and pulled her in for another kiss. However, they were interrupted when the door opened.

-Living Room(Few Minutes Earlier)-

"What's taking them so long?" Mitsuhiko said, tapping his foot impatiently. Ayumi, who was sitting beside him, was doing the exact thing.

Yukiko walked in the room and said, "Give them a few more minutes. As you guys know, Ai-chan has a very frail body." She then clapped her hands. "I know, how about I show you the pictures of Ai-chan and Co-chan in America."

Ayumi and Mitsuhiko looked at each other, then back at Yukiko. They were rather interested. During the 8 years that they were apart, Conan and Ai had never kept in touch. They gave Yukiko a quick nod, which put a grin on Yukiko's face.

As Yukiko pulled out the picture book, Mitsuhiko and Ayumi stared attentively while Genta munched on Yukiko's cooking.

It started with normal pictures that showcased their first day of school, their first dance, etc. But the last picture definitely surprised them as it showed a kiss between the couple. This confirmed their suspicions. Conan and Ai are definitely more than just close friends.

"I can't believe Co-chan has become so straight forwards recently. He's no longer an idiot when it comes to love." Yukiko said, putting her hands on her cheeks like a typical teenage girl.

"They're dating?" Ayumi asked, astonished at the discovery. Immediately the memory of Ai promising that they'll never be love rivals popped up. She had always known that Ai had feelings for him, but the promise itself gave her reassurance to continue to chase after Conan. She sat there in silence as she tightly gripped her skirt.

"Then what are they doing now?" Mitsuhiko growled, slamming his hands on the table. He got up, motioned Ayumi and Genta to follow him. They left the room, leaving a smiling Yukiko.

'Sorry Ai-chan and Shin-chan. They'll find out sooner or later.' Yukiko thought as she began cleaning the mess that the teenagers created.

A year, that's how long it took me to update this story. Damn, I kinda feel bad for my readers that waited for so long. Well, it's my fault that I'm so busy. I hope I can update one more time before I leave for college. But no promises. Once again, I leave you guys in another cliffhanger. That's just how cruel I am. MWAHAHAHA. Just kidding, I hoped you guys enjoyed this new chapter and leave a review. Because, as you always know, I'm all about them reviews. Thank you, and I hope to see you guys soon.

PS: I know I've been heavily focused on character development of Ai, Conan, and the rest, but expect the plot to be rolling soon. The 'you know who' organization will finally make an appearance in my story other than the first chapter when Conan narrated their downfall. Stay tuned.
