Chapter 11
I listened to Mr. Varner's voice drone on and on. It was hard to believe that just last month I had figured out that Seth and all his friends were werewolves. Actually they preferred shape-shifters. Or that Seth and I were… soul mates. It seemed so silly. Soul mates. But that's how Seth described it. He also told me that Collin had imprinted on Becca. Poor guy, knowing Becca she was going to make him crazy. "Ms. Kay put down that book. Now," Mr. Varner said in that dull voice only he could pull off. I glanced up at Sienna who, the second Mr. Varner turned around, gave him the finger. She looked at me and rolled her eyes. When math was finally over Sienna and I walked over to the next class, English. Thankfully we sat next to each other. Lexie was in this class, though. Ever since I had defied the queen her and her disciples had made it their mission to make my life a living hell. She was evil. Completely evil. Satan's spawn. You get the idea.
As we were walking down the halls to lunch Lexie jumped in front of us, "Hey Redcoat! Gollum!" she said happily. Calling me Gollum like the little monster from Lord of the Rings didn't help with my self-esteem. And Sienna would say time and time again, "Calling me Redcoat is so unoriginal. She should really think of something more insulting."
Sienna smiled at her, "Hey slag," she said. Lexie bit her lip; poor girl didn't know what a slag was. I'd have to ask Sienna later…
"So Riley I heard you have crabs," she said with a smile. Crabs? Seriously? "That would be you," I said, "It's a side effect from sleeping with the football team."
"You know, you could've been my friend. I so could've helped you out. You should know Rye honey, you just committed social suicide."
I shook my head, "I'll start mourning now," I told her. Sienna smiled at her, grabbed my hand and pulled me away. "Sienna, what's a slag?" I asked.
She smiled, "A slut. A whore, you know," she told me.
I laughed, "That's Lexie all over," I said. She nodded and we walked into the lunch room. Lexie was popular, sure, but this wasn't a high school movie and she didn't control the whole school. The best she could do was be a jerk and spread rumors. So far I had three different STD's and Sienna was pregnant. Twice. The only people she had complete control of were her disciples or as Sienna liked to call them, Lexie's Clones.
When we got to our table Sienna immediately started to talk about her newest book. It was a short one, so she read it in like an hour, "So then she got pig's blood poured on her. And then she went totally crazy and killed everyone," she told me.
"Sounds…nice?" I said hesitantly. Sienna was really into horror and mystery. I personally have no idea why.
"Hey, can I go with you and Seth to Emily's?" she asked me.
I thought about it for a second. I'm sure the girls would love to meet her, "Yeah I guess," I told her.
Sienna squealed, "Bril! Will the other wolves be there?" I nodded, "Fantastic. I get to be in a house full to the brim with fit boys." I laughed, "You are a boy crazed little brit," I said. She grinned and took a bite of pizza, "I know."
School flew by, as it normally does when you spend most of it sleeping. Finally it was all over and I was walking into the parking lot. I had told Sienna Seth and I would pick her up at six and now I was looking for Seth's truck. He always takes me to school and drops me off. I looked around for a couple seconds and quickly spotted him. Talking to Lexie. Or at least she was talking to him; he was nodding every few seconds and scanning the parking lot. Lexie was flipping her hair over her shoulder and shoving her boobs in his face, trying her hardest to get his attention. He didn't seem to notice.
"Hey Rye," he said, kissing my head.
"Riley," Lexie said as enthusiastically as she could manage, "I see you know Sethy," she said, placing a manicured hand on his shoulder. Slut.
"Yeah. We've been dating for three months," I said.
She fluttered her outrageously long eyelashes, "That's so awesome. Well, see you later!" she said, blowing us a kiss and walking away, swaying her hips. I still had no idea why she chose to wear a skirt in Forks weather. I hope she gets hypothermia. I shook my head at Seth and got into the car.
"So, Sethy," I said laughing, "Can Sienna come with us to Emily's?" I asked.
He groaned, "Sethy?" he asked, "Sure."
"C'mon, I think Sethy suits you. Lexie certainly seemed to think so," I said.
He rolled his eyes, "Lexie?" he asked. I nodded, "Oh! Was that that girl talking to me?" he asked. I nodded with a duh expression on my face. "Rye. I didn't even notice her," he said. I smiled. What did I do to deserve a guy like Seth? I must've been Mother Teresa in a past life.
"Seth?" I asked. He looked over at me. "I love you."
And suddenly Seth was grinning a grin so wide he looked like a kid would have looked if Christmas had come early. Couples usually say I love you on the third or fourth date, but with Seth and me it was like something that everyone knew so they didn't bother to say it. Even though he was driving he leaned over and kissed me whispering, "I love you to." I haven't had a fit since that night at Emily's. I don't think about the kidnapping as much as I used to, and I think Seth has something to do with it.
…..
Sienna and I were talking like mad people while Rebecca was sitting in the back seat texting. Even though she didn't say it, I knew she was texting Collin. But whenever I ask her about him she would say, "C'mon he's like twelve. He's like a little brother or something," but I'm pretty sure little brothers don't look at their sisters like they want to sleep with them. And I'm pretty sure sisters don't return the look.
"You are going to love Rachel. And Kim's about to pop so she's really hormonal, but she's still really cool," I said. "Emily's really sweet, too. Claire and May never stop moving, but if you can get them to calm down for half a second then they're adorable," I told her as Seth pulled into the driveway. Sienna was nodding as if this was the most important moment of her life. "Calm down Enna. Everyone will like
you," I told her.
Sienna nodded, "Yeah. Sure. Of course," she said. I rolled my eyes and pulled her out of the car.
"They will. Besides even if they don't, they'll fake it."
"Wait what?"I laughed and dragged her inside. The second I got inside I was nearly plowed down by May who was running top speed. Luckily I had the sense to get out of the way before Claire plowed me down.
"Not fair May! You're faster than me!" Claire yelled and May laughed.
"Not my fault your slow!" that pushed Claire to go a little faster, and after a few seconds her fingertips just barley scraped the hood of May's jacket.
"You're it!" she screamed, turning on her heel and running in the opposite direction.
I had just learned recently that May is actually half vampire half human. Both her parents are vampires now and her birth had apparently been extremely had. May is actually a nickname for Renesmee. Her nickname used to be Nessie until she read The Loch Ness Monster and decided to go with May. Her story was pretty confusing.
"Baby can you get me some ice cream?" Kim yelled from the couch. I heard Jared yell back a yes from the kitchen. "Ooooh! Can you put some mustard on it?" she asked.
"Kim that's just gross," Rachel yelled.
"Hey! Riley's here and she brought someone," Kim said. Suddenly Emily and Rachel were running out of the kitchen wiping flour covered hands on their aprons. They were quickly followed by Jared who was carried a bowl full of gross looking yellow ice cream.
"Riley, honey, who's this?" Emily asked when she saw me.
"Hey Em. This is my friend Sienna. Sienna this is Emily, that's Rachel, and the girl on the couch is Kim," I introduced. Sienna smiled and shook hands. Not a lot of the boys were here yet. Just the imprints and their boyfriends. Or, you know, babysitters. "Well Sienna, Riley do you two want to come help in the kitchen?" Emily asked. Sienna looked at me and I nodded. Sienna followed me into the kitchen and I put her on muffin duty.
"Hey Emily, can you…" Rachel started to say, turning around. But while she did that a bit of the batter on her spoon flew off and landed right in Emily's hair. "Oh god Em, I'm so sorry," she said.
Emily smiled wickedly at her, "Oh it's alright sweetie," she said.
Rachel backed up, "I really didn't mean it," she said carefully.
"Of course you didn't," Emily said, pulling her spoon out of the brownie mix and flicking it right at Rachel, "and I didn't mean to do that."
Rachel's eyes narrowed, "Oh hell no!" she screamed digging her hands into her cupcake mix and running at Emily. Of course she managed to trip and got the batter all over me.
"Seriously? You're dead meat," I hissed.
Soon there was batter and food flying in all directions. We were shrieking and laughing. "SOMEONE ORDER PIZZA!" Emily yelled as she tipped the bowl of brownie batter over Rachel's head. Rachel screamed and poured cupcake mix down Emily's shirt. I could hear the boys laughing in the doorway, but I was too busy shoving a pie in Sienna's face. It was awesome.
"Hey, who's that?" I heard Brady ask.
"Riley's friend Sienna," someone said.
Sienna looked up when she heard her name and met eyes with Brady. She broke the stare immediately so she could toss a handful of flour in my face, but turned back when she realized Brady was still staring at her. "What're you staring at?" she asked. He blinked a few times but didn't answer. "Are you barmy?" she asked. "Holy crap again?" Rachel whispered to Emily. Emily just shook her head. "I thought this was supposed to be rare," she said. "Hold up!" Sienna yelled, "Did he just…" but she was interrupted by a scream.
"My water just broke!"
An imprint and a birth. Huh.
As soon as I get to 90 reviews I'll update. Was this a good chapter? I don't know… Anyway I hope you like it.
