Death Mountain: Road to Hyrule
(Welcome back to another chapter of Shadows Over Spira! Join me, as we find out what happens as our heroes enter Mt Gagazet! Link and the crew walks head up to the mountain's base. Kimahri looks around and sees Biran lunging towards him from above; he barely dodges. Down the path, Kelk Ronso also appears.]
Kelk: Summoner Yuna and guardians, leave here at once!
Link: Sorry but we need to get to Hyrule
[The party looks around and sees many Ronso standing on the cliffsides, towering over them.]
Kelk: Gagazet is Ronso land, sacred mountain of Yevon. The mountain will not bear the footsteps of infidels!
Biran: Enemy of Yevon is enemy of Ronso! Leave, traitors!
Yuna: I have cast aside Yevon! I follow the temple no more!
Kelk: Then you will die by those words!
Yuna: So be it. Yevon has warped the teachings and betrayed us all!
Wakka: Nothing but a bunch of low-down tricksters, eh?
Link: Yevon is nothing but Gerudo scum that follows Ganondorf's filthy lies
Rikku: Yeah! Yeah!
Yuna: We have no regrets.
Yenke: Blasphemers!
Kelk: A summoners and her guardians...
Lulu: Lord Kelk Ronso, if I may. Have you not also turned your back on Bevelle?
Auron: But still, you guard Gagazet as a Ronso, not a maester. Yuna is much the same.
Biran: Elder Kelk! Let Biran rend them asunder!
Yenke: No escape! Not one!
Yuna: No, we will not flee. We will fight, and continue on.
Kelk: You have been branded a traitor, but still you would fight Sin? Lost to the temple, hated by the people, yet you continue your pilgrimage? Everything lost! What do you fight for?
Yuna: I fight for Spira. The people long for the Calm. I can give it to them. It's all I can give. Defeating Sin, ending pain...this I can do.
Kelk: Even sacrificing yourself? Ronso, let them pass! Summoner Yuna, your will is stronger than steel. Tempered steel that even the mightiest Ronso could not hope to bend. Yuna, we bow to your will! Now go! The sacred heights of Gagazet welcome you.
Yuna: We thank you.
Kelk: And you, Hylian. (to Link) The sacred mountain is home to relics of the Goron, be well prepared for the 'trials' that lie ahead.
Link: Wha... what?
Auron: Link, let's go.
[The party starts to climb up the mountain, but-]
Biran: Halt!
[Biran and Yenke show themselves.]
Link: Now what?
Biran: Summoner may pass. Guardians may pass. Kimahri not pass! Kimahri shame Ronso brothers. Kimahri forget his birth.
Yenke: Forget his people, forget his mountain. Little Ronso! Weakling Ronso!
Biran: Mountain hate the weak, hate the small. If you will climb...
Kimahri: Then I must prove my strength!
Biran: Think you will win? You not forget who took your horn! Never forget!
Yenke: Kimahri never beat brother Biran! Never win!
Kimahri: This time, I win. I will win!
Link: This some kind of Ronso thing?
Kimahri: Kimahri problem.
[Kimahri squares off against Biran and Yenke and beats them. After the fight:]
Biran: Strong is Kimahri. Biran is happy. Sacred Mount Gagazet! I honor the name of the warrior who defeats Biran. Remember always, Gagazet! That name is Kimahri!
Yenke: Mountain knows Kimahri strong. Kimahri may pass.
Biran: Summoner! We Ronso will stop pursuers from temple.
Yuna: Truly?
Biran: Penance for breaking Kimahri's horn, long ago.
Yenke: We crush enemies following behind.
Kimahri: Kimahri crush enemies standing before.
Biran: You are most fortunate summoner.
Yuna: I thank you.
Yenke: Ronso will shine your statue brightest.
Yuna: Thank you. But I fear that no one will make a statue for a traitor such as I am.
Biran: Then Ronso will make!
Yenke: With grand horn on head!
Yuna: That...would be wonderful.
[Biran and Yenke allow the party to pass, and the party starts to walk on.]
Link (narration): I wanted to see Yuna's statue, too. But not alone, but together, with Yuna.
[Biran stands on a cliff.]
Biran: Summoner Yuna!
Link: Again?
[Biran and Yenke starts to sing the Hymn of the Fayth. More Ronso join in...
(After the heartwarming scene, the heroes start their long trek up the mount; Rikku and Link stop to talk.]
Rikku: Hyrule is on the other side, you know?
Link: I know.
Rikku: Yunie is gonna get the Final Aeon, you know?
Link: ...
Rikku: I still haven't thought of anything.
Link: Me neither.
Rikku: What are we gonna do?
Link: We don't know enough to make a solid plan yet. So, until we do, we really can't help Yuna. Let's got to Hyrule. We'll find something there.
Rikku: Hey... Just now you sounded like a leader, you know?
Link: Star of Hyrule's Ordona Province! Didn't anyone tell you?
[Link starts to walk off, but Rikku cries out. Behind them is Shadow Seymour.]
S. Seymour: Ah... the failed Hero of Light. Son of Hylian Knight Commander, Jecht.
Link: (puts on FD Mask) Rikku, run ahead and tell Auron! Keep Yuna safe!
Rikku: You are not fighting him alone!
FD Link: Just go! Go!
[Rikku runs off]
S. Seymour: Now that we are alone, we can play. 'Hero"!
FD Link: You want to play, Ganon? Then lets play!
(FD draws the Great Fairy sword and Mirror Shield)
Kimahri: Save some for Kimahri!
[The party stands runs to Link.]
FD Link: Just in time for the fireworks!
S. Seymour: Ah, Zelda! Oh, excuse me, i mean Lady Yuna, it is an honor.
Lulu: Yuna!
Wakka: Did he call Yuna Zelda?
[Yuna starts to do the sending motions.]
: A sending, so soon? How quaint; allow me to say something to the last Ronso before I leave. Yours was...truly a gallant race. They threw themselves at me to bar my path. One...after another... Just like those pathetic Goron's over 1,000 years ago!
Kimahri: No...
FD Link: (getting pissed) Grrr...
Yuna: Kimahri...
S. Seymour:(to Yuna) You could end the suffering of this poor Ronso.
Yuna: I don't understand you!
S. Seymour: Allow Kimahri to die, and release him from his pain. Spira...is a land of suffering and sorrow caught in a spiral of death. To destroy - to heal - Spira, I will become Sin. Yes, with your help. Come with me, Yuna.
[Fierce Deity steps in front of Yuna.]
S. Seymour: (to FD Link) Once i am Sin, your father will be set free.
FD Link: Humph. You are mine!
S. Seymour: A Failed hero. With no hopes of survival, you will die here, and my Kingdome will be revived!
[Shadow Seymour transforms in to an almost ethereal floating head of Ganondorf with tendrils of black ink made up of pure darkness. Ganondorf begins showing his true, but 2nd form. He locks himself and Feirce Deity in a large sphere made of Shadows, locking out the rest of the team.]
Yuna: Link!
Auron: Yuna! Calm down. There is nothing we can do. This is his fight.
(inside the dark energy sphere, S. Seymour and Feirce Deity face off)
S. Seymour: Hahahahahahahahaha
FD Link: What do you hope to accomplish?
S. Seymour: I... WILL... CRUSH... YOU!
FD Link: Not up for conversation? Fine! " I call upon the Goddesses of Power and Wisdom, come forth and gather before me, lend me your strength!" DIN'S CATACLYSM!
S. Seymour: What?!
(Fierce Deity takes his stance, holding the mirror shield in front of himself. He outstretches his sword arm, and begins charging the Great Fairy Sword with fire energy from Din's Fire, preparing a great spin attack. The magic fully gathers in the blade, but FD continues charging, also gathering the energy of Farores Wind. Both energies are now fully charged... FD releases. As FD Spins the fire and wind begind to swirl. The atmosphere inside the shadow sphere begins to burn engulfing all; FD, Shadow Seymour, everything. The full burst of ancient Hylian magic even begins to warp through the barrier, causing the mountain iteself to groan and shake.)
Wakka: What's goin on?
Lulu: Everyone take cover!
(The energy released by Din's Cataclysm pin points, releasing a final shockwave. It opens a path into the mountain, blocking off the original path. S. Seymour disolves into the pinpoint, releasing the Pyreflies that once made up his form. Feirce Deity falls to his knees, and the mask falls to the ground; the power of mask gone dormant. Link picks up the mask, and stands.)
Link: And stay up there!
Yuna: Link! Are you ok?
Link: Yeah...
Auron: Time to go. We still have a long way to go.
[And with those words the party starts to walk away.]
(You know, i never expected that to happen... Oh hey there folks! How's that for an explosive battle, Seymour just doesn't know when to give up; although i guess we should call him Ganondorf now, huh? Well, stay tuned for part two of Death Mountain Road to Hyrule. Next Time in Shadows Over Spira: Death Mountain Return to the Past)
