BRAX'S POV:
"Hey, Brax, long time, no see" Tegan greeted me as she walked into the diner
"Yeah, it's been bliss. Hear you've been to see Ricky?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at her
She nodded her head, signalling yes… "Got anything to say?"
"I want a DNA test" I informed her
"You want what?" she asked
"A DNA test. How do I know you're not lying to me?" I inquired "now if you don't mind, I'm gonna get back to my family"
RICKY'S POV:
"Everything okay?" I asked as Brax walked back to the table, Jacob engrossed in his iPad
He nodded his head, signalling yes… "I told her I want a DNA test. Her shock horror just proves my suspicions"
"You still think she's lying?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at him
He nodded his head again, signalling yes… "I'm sure of it"
I smiled at him weakly and entwined my hand with his… "I think you're doing the right thing"
"You do?" he inquired
"Yeah" I replied "like you think, she could just be pulling a fast one to get her hands on your money, so you need proof"
Later on that morning after breakfast… "Jake, why don't you go and get yourself a milkshake?"
"Can I?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at me
I nodded my head, signalling yes… "Get one for me too"
He smiled warmly at me and hurried over to the counter… "You've been a world of your own since you saw Tegan, what's wrong?"
"I'm just trying to think about all the times we hooked up, whether we used protection or not" he admitted
"You're gonna end up having a nervous breakdown if you're not careful. Brax, just forget about it for now until she gets in contact, that's all we can do" I replied
"Okay" he stated, smiling at me warmly "what shall we do today? Do you fancy getting away from here for a while?"
"To where?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at him
"I don't know, Yabbie Creek, we could go to the beach, have some dinner and maybe even have an overnight stay. Just you, me and Jake" he suggested "what do you say?"
"Okay" I replied, smiling at him widely
