RICKY'S POV:
I was making my way out to the water for my morning surf when I saw Tegan sat on the sand. Looking out to the water and back to her, I sighed and made my way over to her…
"Thought you'd be long gone by now" I admitted as I reached her
"Why's that?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow at me
"Heath and Kyle told Brax and I what you did" I informed her
"Oh" she replied, swallowing a lump in her throat "I'm sorry about that"
"Okay. But answer me one thing?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow at her
Nodding her head, signalling yes, she looked up at me…
"Why were you there in the first place?" I asked
"Like I told them, Brax asked me there" she informed me
"Cut the crap, Tegan" I sighed "you and I both know Brax isn't a cheater. I'm gonna ask you again or I will go to the police, why were you there?"
"I was looking for something I could use for DNA evidence on Brax" she admitted
"What?" I questioned
"Brax isn't Darcy's Dad" she informed me
"So why have you told him he is then?" I inquired
"Because the Dad is a jerk and doesn't wanna know" she replied "she needs a father figure in her life, and when I saw Brax with your son, I thought, wow, he'd be a good Dad"
"So you thought you'd spin him a web of lies?" I asked "what goes on in that head of yours? To think I actually felt sorry for you too"
"You did?" she inquired
"Yeah, I know what the thought of being a single Mum is like. Dreading getting something wrong, being absolutely terrified about the prospects that come with it but you know something, you get on with it, well most people do" I informed her
"I'm sorry" she replied
"It's not me you need to be apologising to" I stated "I'm gonna go for a surf. I think you need to have a long and hard think about things"
Nodding her head in agreement, I smiled at her weakly and walked away, making my way into the water…
BRAX'S POV:
"Hey, you were up and out early this morning" I stated as Ricky walked into the restaurant
"Yeah, wanted to catch an early morning surf" she informed me as she grabbed herself a bottle of water from the fridge "has Tegan been in?"
"No, why do you ask?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at her
"No reason, I just saw her earlier. Thought she might have been thinking about coming in" she admitted "I'll see you later"
"Where're you off to now?" I asked
"Shopping and errand running in Yabbie Creek" she informed me as she kissed my cheek "see you later"
"Yeah, bye" I sighed, shaking my head in amusement as she hurried out of the restaurant
Will Tegan tell Brax the truth? And how will he react when he finds out Ricky knows too?
