15. Epilouge

Three years later...

Gabriel and I continued to serve our calling together until one hunt led to the revelation that I was now with child. Now we had to make a decision of whether we wanted to continue the work that we had or retire and raise our child away from all of this.

In the end, we decided that it was time to follow this new calling and leave the Knights of the Holy Order so that we could raise our child in safety. We decided to leave for the New World where no one knew who we were and raise our baby in a new life. We quickly resigned and left Europe that night.

In the end, we both knew that we would be better off. We could spend what remained of our lives in a happier place and more than that, our child would hopefully never learn of our dark past we once had. In that thought though, I realized that if my gift hadn't been uncovered; I wouldn't have been pursued and I wouldn't have found what I truly desired.
