"So, what sort of wedding do you and Brax want then?" Bianca asked as we made our way to the diner to pick up some takeout for dinner the next afternoon

"We haven't really discussed it" I admitted "but I don't want anything too formal. Maybe a little ceremony on the beach, followed by a reception at Angelo's"

"That's it? Ricky, this is the most special day of your life, you've gotta go all out" she proclaimed

"I don't care about the fanciness or the expense spared; as long as I've got Brax, Jacob and my family there, which is you guys, by the way, I don't care where I get married" I informed her "which leads to my next question…"

"Go on?" she inquired, raising an eyebrow at me in intrigue

"How would you feel about being my maid of honour?" I asked

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes" she proclaimed, hugging me tightly "I can't believe we're gonna be family"

I smiled at her warmly, both of us continuing our walk to the diner…

BRAX'S POV:

"So why are we all here then? Has something happened?" Casey questioned as everyone sat down for dinner that evening

"Does anything have to have happened for us to all sit down and eat together?" I asked

"Okay, you've changed. This isn't you" he admitted

"Shut it" I sighed, rolling my eyes at him "actually, we do have an announcement"

"We?" he inquired

"Yeah, me and Ricky" I informed him "we're getting married"

"Does this mean you're gonna be my Dad properly now, Brax?" Jacob asked

"Yeah, I guess it does, mate" I replied, smiling at him warmly

RICKY'S POV:

"Out like a light" Brax informed me as he made his way back into the kitchen after putting Jacob to bed

I smiled at him warmly as I turned to him after finishing cleaning up after dinner… "Everyone seemed to take the news well"

"Were you expecting them not to?" he inquired

"I just didn't know how people were gonna react" I admitted

"Well, seeing as though everyone's okay with it and it's out in the open, I can give you this" he informed me

Raising an eyebrow at him in confusion, he pulled a box from his pocket…

"Is this what I think it is?" I questioned

"I've had it a while now" he admitted "but I didn't take it away with us because I didn't know I'd propose. Open it"

Doing as he asked, I felt the tears spring to my eyes as I came face-to-face with the perfect engagement ring…

"So, say something" he begged, smiling at me warmly as I looked up at him

"It's perfect" I informed him, throwing my arms around his neck, hugging him tightly

"I can't wait to marry you" he admitted, kissing me softly as we pulled apart

"I can't wait to marry you" I mirrored, smiling warmly as he took the box from me and slipped the ring onto my finger
