AJ stood in the center of the ring. She couldn't even stand still for a minute, she was so nervous. Her palms were sweaty, her body quivered. She took a deep breath and just decided that it's now or never. She had to do it no matter what.

"Daniel Bryan come out here" AJ said with a low pitch in her voice. He didn't come out the first time. "Daniel come out here RIGHT NOW" she demanded.

Daniel Bryan's music hit that time and Bryan walked out of the curtain. He slowly walked down to the ring, not breaking his eye contact with her. AJ shook in her shoes. She knew no matter what this wasn't going to end well. She hoped Punk took note of this. Daniel stepped into the ring and stood head to toe to her. His expression was dark.

"Daniel, do you know why I've called you out here tonight?" she asked shaking but not that much that the audience would notice. He didn't answer. She found the courage to look him in his eyes and ask him again.

"Daniel I asked you a question. Do you know why I've called you out here tonight?"

Daniel stared coldly into her dark eyes. He didn't move. He didn't flinch. He just stared dark holes into her eyes. AJ knew something was up.

"Daniel I-"

"Who…do you think you are?" Bryan said interrupting her. His voice cold and unsteady. AJ slightly parted her lips and quickly shut them. Daniel grabbed a piece of her hair and twirled it around his finger.

"You think you're so clever, AJ?" AJ looked at him confused. "You think you could have gone all this time without me finding out?" Daniel's voice sharpened with every word. He yanked on her hair and pulled her head back.

AJ yelped at the sudden movement and pleaded. "D-Daniel please-"

"NO!" Daniel shouted at her. "You stupid little BITCH" the crowd all froze at Daniel's language towards his boss.

AJ was holding onto his hand, trying to pry his hard grip that was on her hair. "Daniel please don't do this out in public. I will explain everything to you, please." She whispered to him as rationally as possible. Daniel growled down at her. He leaned down just close enough to her ear and whispered "You want to kill my child AJ…that gives me the right to kill you." AJ froze. "And I wouldn't mind an audience." AJ stared at him in total fear and Daniel evilly smirked. He grabbed her throat and pushed her into the corner. He squeezed her throat tightly. AJ screamed. The crowd was in fear.

"D-Daniel…S-Stop" AJ breathlessly pleaded out. Daniel laughed and applied more pressure, choking her out. "P-Punk" AJ called out in her mind.

AJ was hitting at his hand with all her strength, trying to get him to budge. He wouldn't. Right then, the crowd went crazy as they saw Jericho and Kane come running out. Daniel turned around and ran out of the ring into the crowd, getting away. Jericho and Kane slid into the ring and watched as Daniel ran like a little boy out of the arena. Jericho rushed to AJ's aid and held her. Kane went over and saw how weak and out of it she was.

"DOC GET OVER HERE NOW!" Kane yelled.

The doc ran over and turned his attention to AJ. "Come on she needs medical attention. She isn't responding." Jericho worriedly said. The crowd was all silent. They were shocked. No one knew what to think. The doctor called for a stretcher to have AJ taken to the hospital immediately. Jericho held AJ's hand and stroked it. Kane shook his head in disgust at how his tag team partner acted. The stretcher came down within minutes and got AJ onto the stretcher and rolled her to the back. Jericho and Kane quickly followed. When they got backstage, a line of superstars were there in total shock. Some were in tears. The paramedics got her into the ambulance and Jericho got in with her.

"Chris what are you-"

"I'm going with her to the hospital Kane. I'm not leaving her" Jericho interrupted angrily

"But-"

"No but's Kane. I'm going. When Punk wakes up from his little nap tell him the news. I'm sure he'll be happy with himself." Jericho irritably noted.

Kane was silent. The doors to the ambulance closed and off they headed to the hospital.

It was 9:30pm and Punk was still asleep. A knock came upon the door loudly which awoken Punk.

"W-What the-" Punk startled and opened his eyes. The door knocked again and Punk got up. "Alright Alright, I'm coming." Punk said grouchy and opened the door to see Kane standing in the middle staring at him blankly.

Punk looked up at him and huffed "Honestly Kane. You had to awaken me?"

"Do you realize what you have done?" Kane agitatedly asked.

Punk froze and narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Uhhhh-"

"Punk AJ is in the hospital." Kane let out. Punk's eyes opened widely.

"WHAT?!" Punk's heart picked up.

"Daniel choked her out in the ring earlier. He was going to kill her. Luckily for Jericho and I to have come to her rescue, if we hadn't she would have died." Kane said upsettingly.

Punk was so still he couldn't believe he had slept through the segment. He had made a promise to AJ. To not let him hurt her. AJ was waiting for him and he didn't show up. What will she think of him now?

"I-I fell asleep and and-"

"Yeah you fell asleep and caused Daniel to hurt the love of your life and put her in the hospital" Kane interrupted harshly. "AJ IS IN THE HOSPITAL PUNK!" Kane shouted.

Punk tried not to cry because he didn't want to believe it but he couldn't help it. AJ is in the hospital. "I'm heading to the hospital now" Punk said grabbing his jacket off the couch but Kane stopped him.

"No Punk, wait till tomorrow. They have to omit her and settle her in. She is fine without you there." Kane said holding him back.

"Kane I'm going" Punk screeched.

"NO Punk, she will be fine. Chris is there with her now. Go tomorrow morning. She will still be there." Kane alerted Punk.

"Chris is there?" Punk shockingly asked.

"Yes! He had to go. He wasn't going to leave her." Punk's eyes watered. "After all, he was the one who was there for her tonight" Kane settled on.

Kane patted Punk on his shoulder. "Just get some rest tonight. Go to the hospital first thing tomorrow and see AJ. If you go now, then God knows what her reaction will be. Save yourself the trouble Punk. Go tomorrow." Kane reasoned with him and left.

Punk rubbed his hand over his shaven head and threw his jacket onto the floor. He was so angry with himself. He let AJ down. Kane on the other note was right. It's better to go in the morning when she is awake and fully able to talk. Punk huffed and picked up his jacket and placed it on him. He grabbed his stuff and headed onto his bus.

"Hey Punk is everything alr-"

"AJ's in the hospital again Jake" Punk sadly just told his bus driver and before Jake could say anything back Punk slammed the door to his room and went into bed, curling up into the covers. He snuggled into AJ's pillow and breathed in her scent. He loved her so much. He was going to kill Daniel. Punk was going to make sure of that. With that mission in mind Punk closed his eyes and did his best to drift off to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be an off day for sure.

A/N: Hey peeps! It feels good to write again lol. I was just bored at 2am in the morning so decided to write another chapter. I realized how many people love this and my other story "A Changed Champion" so much that they want me to continue them which by all means, this one isn't over. I just am going back to college now and plus with work and other personal stuff…it's not that easy to just hop on and write anymore but I appreciate the love and feedback.
