Loralei was back at school within a few days. She was ready to finish school, but she was rather sad to leave Hogwarts. She would never come back again. There would be no more classes in the castle, or laying out by the Black Lake to soak up the few days of sun they got. No more staying up late and having to struggle to stay awake for their classes. Everything here was coming to an end, and they would have to get into internships, and graduate programs.
The rest of their classes were easy, and though they overall didn't matter, Loralei, Lily, and Remus kept their grades up to their usual standard. The others let theirs slide a bit, since their programs would only be looking at their OWL and NEWT results.
On weekends, they still did their Guardian meetings. Training the others to be able to keep it going after the Marauders were gone. They would be missed by the Guardians, and on the weekend before they graduated, they threw them a party.
There was music, and food and drinks, and it was great. Melanie ended up standing on a table-she orchestrated the whole thing-and called for everyone to shut up.
"Okay," she raised her glass of champagne in the air. "To our teachers, Loralei, Lily, James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. It's because of you guys that the odds of us getting murdered are significantly lower. And I'm speaking for everyone when we give you these."
Colin, a little second year handed them all wrapped squares. Surprise was etched on all their faces. They had known about the party, but no more than that.
"Open them!" Melanie called.
They did, getting encouragement from the crowd around them. Inside the wrappings was a wooden plaque with their names carved into it, below two words.
"Certified Badass"
Loralei was the first one to laugh. "I can't believe you guys remembered this from the first meeting!"
Melanie laughed with her. "Well I do have quite the memory, you know." She teased.
"Ugh, you guys are all so sweet." She told them all. "It has been an honor to learn and teach with you all."
"Now, the people who will be taking over are Jacob, Kale, and Leanna." James said, before turning to the sixth years. "Now, if you need any help at all, be sure to write. We're not going to leave you guys on your own just yet."
"Yeah, that's right, you can't get rid of us that easily." Sirius joked.
Everyone laughed.
The party went on as it had before, anyone in a younger year asking for advice that the seventh years did not know how to give. They didn't know if they were doing everything right, but they could say what was on their tests. They were just as lost as any other seventeen or eighteen year olds just leaving school. Would they get the jobs they wanted? Would they be able to pass the training that it took to get there? They didn't know, and they weren't about to say they knew everything.
Lily and Loralei stayed up that night, unable to sleep on their impending graduation in a week. It was scaring them. They ended up laying next to each other, in Lily's bed in the Head dormitory. They stared at the ceiling, the only light coming from the full moon outside. James, Sirius, and Peter were all with Remus in the Shrieking Shack, so the girls were alone.
"Not much time left." Lily muttered.
"Don't remind me." Loralei whispered back. "This is the end. We're probably not going to come back here."
"Ugh. That's just sad, isn't it?" Lily asked. "Until our children go here, then we might get to swing by a visit. Or if they can keep the guardians going, then we could come back and teach a class."
"Maybe we won't want to come back." Loralei whispered. "What if we find that we like our lives so much more than they are now."
"Then it's a good thing I guess, but this will always be one of my favorite places. Unlike you, I didn't grow up around magic. This was my first real taste. Even with Severus, we never did any magic, well, not usually, and his not on purpose." Lily told her. "This will always be the most magical place for me."
Loralei smiled. "I can't disagree with you on that. We've lived in a castle for the last seven years, no one besides the students here can say that."
"Yes, but you lived in a mansion for the other part of your life, it's not that different."
"My house has more wood." Loralei teased. "This is all stone."
"Oh yes, because that is so important!" Lily laughed quietly before sighing. "Everything's going to change now, isn't it?"
Loralei turned her head to the side, and Lily did the same to look at her.
"Yeah." Loralei nodded. "But you know what? We're going to make a mark for our selfs. We'll make a difference in this world, you'll see."
Lily smiled. "If you could change anything about our time here, would you?"
Loralei shook her head. "If I did, I wouldn't be the same person."
"Not even that Sirius cheated, or that you ever got together in the beginning?" Lily asked.
"Nope." Loralei shook her head. "Then we wouldn't be where we are now. I like where I am now. I like who I am with, and how everything turned out. I'm happy." She paused a second. "Are you?"
"I'd change one thing." Lily told Loralei.
"And that is?"
"I would've given your brother a chance before last year." Lily said softly.
Loralei laughed. "But then you wouldn't be where you are today."
"Yeah, but we could be some place better. I know it's weird, but I really love your brother, Lore." Lily smiled.
"And I'm happy for you." Loralei told her. "I just hope that you both stay together a long time. I want to see that little green-eyed, black-haired kid of yours."
Lily laughed for a second before abruptly stopping. "Wait, you've said that before?"
"What?" Loralei asked.
"In fifth year, you told me I was going to have a green eyed black haired kid." Lily sat up. "Loralei..."
"Lily..." Loralei's heart started racing.
"What are you talking about?" Loralei asked, getting up on her elbows.
"Loralei, did you know that James and I were going to get together?" Lily asked.
"This is ridicul-" Loralei started.
"Tell me!" Lily stated.
"Yes I did." Loralei told her. "But it's not what you think."
"How did you know?" Lily asked. "You couldn't possibly know."
"Lily, you're not going to want to hear this." Loralei warned her.
"Tell me! How do you know?" Lily was angry now.
"I'm a seer, Lily! It's kind of what I do!" Loralei told her, mirroring Lily's anger. She doesn't like being yelled at.
Lily sat back, shock crossing her face. "How can you be a seer?"
"It's something you're born with, Lily, it's not like there's any choice in the matter." Loralei told her.
"We are best friends! How could you not tell me this? It's been seven years and you never told me!" Lily was furious.
"You know why I didn't tell you!" Loralei hissed back.
"Oh and what do I know?" Lily sneered.
"You think divination's a joke! That it doesn't exist and it's all guessing!" Loralei fumed.
"Yeah, but I didn't know that you were one! I would've believed you!" Lily told her.
"No you wouldn't. I've been trying to convince you since third year! You never believed me. How could I tell you that I was a seer when you couldn't believe in the existence of one?" Loralei demanded.
"Because I could've believed in you!" Lily barked.
Loralei sat there for a moment before replying. "What?"
"I would've believed in you. How could I not, Lore?" Lily asked, a sad tone in her voice. "You're my best friend, and now that I think about it...you always got defensive whenever I'd make fun of it." Lily put her face in her hands, rubbing her face, before looking back up. "Oh merlin, Lore I'm so sorry, but how could you not tell me? We're best friends."
"I wouldn't have been able to cope if you didn't believe me." Loralei said softly. "You know, people always say that the people you love can hurt you the most. I wasn't going to let it come between our friendship. I love you too much."
Lily smiled. "What have you seen that's come true?"
Loralei smiled. "I saw Sirius when he came to our steps after he ran away from home, but not all of them have been that clear, and most of them haven't happened yet, and I can't tell you them."
"Is that why I haven't heard about this sooner?"
"I can't tell everything I see. I did once and it changed, and I don't know why I see anything, it's all just speculation. It could want to be changed, or it could just be a warning." Loralei shook her head. "You don't know how many headaches I've had over if I should tell someone something or not. Awful things happen to wizards that mess with time, Lily."
"I know." Lily nodded with a sigh. "I just wish you told me sooner..." She trailed off before looking back up. "James and I are really going to get married?"
"And have a beautiful child. I hope, at least." Loralei smiled.
"Oh, I want it to." Lily smiled, biting her lip. "Wow. I can't believe my best friend sees the future."
"And it can give me one hell of a headache too." Loralei told her.
"Damn. How long has this been happening?" Lily asked.
"Since I can remember. Mum and Dad always told me to be careful how I used it. They wouldn't even let me tell them about what I saw until it already happened. I think they were a bit scared of it." Loralei told her honestly.
"Must've been hard as a kid." Lily said.
Loralei shrugged. "James helped."
"That explains why you're so protective of him." Lily said. "I can't believe I'm so blind. This makes so much sense with you, Lore!"
Loralei laughed. "Yes, well I am a woman of many mysteries." She teased.
"Yes, Miss I-can-see-the-future." Lily rolled her eyes. "Please, tell me if I will get the internship at ."
"Oh you will."
"You saw it?"
"No, I just know you."
A/N: ANYBODY HEAR ABOUT JK's FANTASTICAL BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM? POTTERHEADS ARE FINALLY GETTING NEW MATERIAL!

hufflepuffloverforever.x: Yes, it will be cute! Fred and George will be coming in soon, but I'm planning on the next chapter to be their graduation, but maybe they'll show up? ;D I don't know, I'm only writing it. LOL. Thank you for your review!
