"You look beautiful." Loralei told Lily, as they got ready for her wedding. It was a small affair, only close friends were invited. Besides the six of them, it was the Weasley's, the recruits from Auror training (they had gotten close over the last few months), and one guy from Healer training, Colin. They all fit nicely in the Potter's back yard.
"Is Petunia coming?" Lily asked, looking at Loralei through the mirror in front of them as Loralei did Lily's hair. There was no need to have anyone do Lily's hair since Loralei was such a master at it herself.
Loralei shook her head. "We didn't get a response either. I think it's safe to say that she's not coming."
Lily let out a breath, obviously relieved.
"If you didn't want her to come, why did you invite her in the first place?" Loralei asked before shaking her head. "Never mind. It's the same reason why I don't snap at James half the time I should. Siblings, man. When you love them you forgive them for all sorts of stupid shit."
"Well, I guess." Lily smiled at Loralei's choice of words.
"I know how it is." Loralei laughed, teasing Lily's hair. "You're going to be the most beautiful woman in the world today."
Lily laughed. "Well I believe there are two part-veelas here, so I doubt that."
"Watch James's face when he sees you, you'll know then." Loralei told her. "There's not going to be a dry eye in the house." Loralei pinned her friend's hair in place.
"Well, this is nearly eight years coming." Lily smiled.
"Yeah it is." Loralei smiled. "Do you think the boys are fighting in the other room?"
"If they ruin the pictures I will kill them both." Lily told her.
"I'll help." Loralei agreed. "No bruises today."
"There shouldn't be. I healed all of yours last night, and I asked Remus to do the same for James." Lily stated.
"Yep." Loralei finished twisting Lily's hair into an intricate knot on her head, and did a charm to keep it there for the rest of the day. "Champagne, Lils?" She asked, reaching for a dark bottle inside an ice bucket on the side of the vanity.
"If you please." Lily smiled.
Loralei poured two glasses, and handed one to her soon-to-be-married friend. "To your last hour as a single woman."
"I'll drink to that." She smiled, clinking glasses with Loralei, before taking a sip. "When do you think you and Sirius will get married?"
Loralei shrugged. "I don't know."
"Haven't you thought about it?" Lily asked. "Talked about it?"
"A little, but nothing too serious." Loralei told her. "I don't want to get married before I'm done with training, because it's just too hard to do at the same time."
"But I thought you said you heard talk from Fab that you might be becoming Aurors before time since they need more in their ranks." Lily said.
"It's just a rumor." Loralei told her.
"If he asked you to marry him right now, what would you say?" Lily asked.
"I don't know." Loralei told her. "I'm not going to lie, but when you're asked, you know, until then you don't."
"I guess that's true." Lily told her. "I never thought I'd get married at nineteen, especially to your brother."
Loralei smiled. "And I'm happy you are, dear sister."
Lily smiled, her emerald eyes glowing with happiness. No one could deny how happy she was. It radiated from her like the sun radiated heat. Just being around her could make the most depressed person happy. It was contagious.
"Do you think we'll have kids at the same time."
"Whoa there, sister." Loralei raised her hands up. "I don't know about you, but I'd like to keep my body how it is for another ten years."
Lily laughed. "Come on, I'm having a kid that looks like James but with my eyes, according to you, are you going to have one that looks like Sirius with your eyes?"
"I don't know. Katie told me that most part veela's are blonde, so maybe my kid will be blonde." Loralei shrugged, even though she would like it to happen one day, she didn't want to think about it for too long, she might want to have one sooner than she planned to.
"I'd like to have a kid early enough so my body can bounce back easier." Lily went on. "You have your blonde kids, I want at least one red-headed one."
Loralei laughed. "Hopefully its a she. I'd like to see how your first one deals with having a hot sister through Hogwarts."
"James didn't like it." Lily told her. "He recently told me how much he hated it."
"We all have our crosses to bare." Loralei told her. "Let's hope your son's is that easy to deal with."
"I'll drink to that." Lily took another sip of champagne.

"Are you ready?" Loralei asked Lily as they lined up to walk down the aisle.
Lily nodded, she looked a little nervous, but more happy than anything. She stood tall, her shoulders held back.
Loralei fidgeted with her own dress, straightening it out, and brushing imaginary lint of the front.
"You both look great." Sirius said, walking up to them. "James is out there, smiling like an idiot, he's going to pass out when he sees you." He told Lily, kissing her cheek.
"You didn't get him drunk, right?"
"Only gave him a little to help him with being nervous." He told her. "He's fine."
Lily let out a breath. "Okay."
Music started playing.
Loralei looked at Sirius, straightening his jacket. They did things the muggle way since Lily wanted it that way. Getting back to her muggle roots.
"That's our cue." She told him.
He held out his arm for her to take.
"When the music changes, follow us." Loralei told her.
"I know." Lily gave her a little push.
Loralei laughed, before walking outside in the spring sun and walking down the short aisle to where James and Remus were standing. Remus would marry them since he took the time one Saturday to get approved by the Ministry.
Loralei and Sirius separated at the altar, surrounded by flowers. Loralei kept her eyes on her brother as the music changed, watching her brother's face as his eyes caught sight of Lily.
Loralei never remembered being looked at like James looked at Lily. The look of pure love. True love. Something Loralei could tell was never going to change for him. They could fight and argue, but when it came down to it, they truly loved each other, and would fight for each other until the very end, and hopefully that end would not be for a very long time.
Lily walked up to the altar slowly, her eyes never leaving James, nor did James' eyes ever leave Lily. Lily was the vision of beauty, especially when the sun shined down on her. Her red hair looking even more red in the sun.
"Hi," Lily whispered to James.
"Hi," James whispered back, like it was a secret.
The music stopped, and Remus cleared his voice.
"James and Lily," he started. "You asked me six months ago to marry you, and it is an honor. I have known you both since we were eleven, and so much has changed since then. I watched you both fight until your sixth year, and then you both fell in love. I think everyone can agree, no matter how you feel about each other, it will always be passionate." Remus smiled. "It doesn't matter how these things came to be, but this will be a love story to go down in the history book. Now, I believe you both have written your vows."
Lily tuned to get the gold ring from Loralei, before turning back to her soon-to-be husband.
"James Potter, we have known each other since we were children, and I wouldn't regret one thing we did to each other, because then we wouldn't be here. I look forward to growing old with you, and raising our children together. I will love you now and forever, and I look forward to my future, as long as you're in it." She slipped the ring on his finger.
James was grinning bigger than ever, as he reached in his pocket for the ring.
"Lily Evans. I have loved you from the moment I met you. I remember thinking I didn't want to be with anyone but you. You are smart, beautiful, funny, strong, and you've always been able to tell me when to cool off. I never want to spend a minute without you. I can't wait to start a life with you. I love you, Lils, and I'm never going to stop." He slipped the ring on her finger.
"In the power invested in me by the Ministry of Magic, I now pernounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." Remus told them.
James took Lily's face sweetly in his hands before kissing her lightly.
The small audience started clapping.
Lily and James broke apart. "Okay, everyone the reception's right over there." James pointed to the left, where on the other side of the rosebushes were tables were set up, and a band was setting up.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
"When do the toasts happen?" Sirius asked Loralei as they swayed on the dance floor. It was well past sunset. Little glowing orbs hung above the tables and dance floor. The band was playing a
"After dinner." Loralei told him. "So what's that? Ten more minutes? Fifteen?"
"Perfect." He said, kissing her lightly. "What would you want your wedding to be like?"
Loralei sighed, looking around. "I don't know. I'd like it small, like this, I guess. Maybe smaller. Since Remus is already ordained, so I guess he'd be good with doing it again. What about you?"
"Just six people. Peter, James Remus, Lily, you and me." He told her.
"Oh? And is this you asking to marry me?" She teased.
"Naw, I'll be stupidly romantic when I do that." He told her.
"What and now I don't get a surprise proposal?" Loralei asked. "Thanks for robbing me of that."
Sirius rolled his eyes. "You hate surprises. They make you uncomfortable."
"I hate that you know me so well." She smiled.
"You love it." He whispered in her ear, before kissing her cheek.
She pulled away a bit. "Fine, I love it. It stops me from having to explain so many things."
He kissed her lightly. "I love you."
She smiled. "I love you too." Loralei looked over his shoulder to see Lily waving at her. She sighed. "Maid of honor duty calls."
"Have fun you crazy kid." He teased, swatting her ass lightly.
"Keep it clean." She laughed, as she walled passed him. "There's kids here."
Sirius just laughed as he walked the other way, over to where Peter and Remus were standing.
Loralei found her way to Lily. "What do you need Mrs. Potter?"
Lily smiled. "Where's the lipstick you put on me? I can't find it."
"Come on," Loralei nodded towards the house. "I have it in the downstairs bathroom, but I have six colors in there, and I don't remember what it's called."
"Thank you so much!" Lily told her.
"Yeah, yeah, name your daughter after me." Loralei told her, as they walked towards the house.
"I will! I'll even name my son after you if you want it."
Loralei laughed. "That poor kid will never have a chance. I'll make sure my kid looks after him."
"Why would your kid be better off than mine?" Lily asked.
"Well, he or she is going to have older brothers that will love them." Loralei said. "Plus their parents are Aurors. What's better than that?"
"Uh-huh. Sure." Lily rolled her eyes. "And my kids are going to be wusses?"
"No, they're going to be kindhearted like their mother. Mine will have a mouth on them. They'll keep your kids safe." Loralei told her.
"You seem to forget that James will be their father." Lily reminded her.
"Doesn't matter. If Sirius and I have kids? There's going to be a lot of badassery thrown into one kid." Loralei replied when they got to the bathroom. She opened a drawer that was full of makeup. "Okay..." she looked through the different colors. "I put on you..." She looked at the bottom of one tube. "Rosebud." She smiled proudly, handing the tube of lipstick to Lily. "Now, when you get out, Sirius is going to start the toasts. Do you want champagne or something else?"
"Champagne is good." Lily told her, putting on her lipstick.
Loralei gave her a thumbs' up, before leaving the bathroom and walking back to the party to tell Sirius to start when Lily got back.
Loralei then started talking to Fabian and Gideon and talking to the kids. Bill was already excited for Hogwarts, and he still had to wait another three years. Charlie just wanted to run around and get dirty. Percy was being rather fussy, and the twins were just starting to talk.
Loralei enjoyed making funny faces at them until she got them to laugh.
"Lore, Lily's back." Gideon told her.
"Thank you." Loralei told him, picking up Percy off her lap, and putting him down on the chair. "I'll be back later."
Sirius went up onto the little stage, and clinked his glass with a spoon. "Hey there, Prongs. You finally got the girl!"
The five other people who knew their story laughed, the others merely chuckled.
"I never thought this day would come." Sirius told James. "I remember making fun of you all the time because she would always tell you to get lost. But you never did, so I guess that's a good thing since you finally got her." He shrugged. "So, Lily, don't hurt him too bad. I don't think he could live without you. Honestly, though, you two are perfect for each other. Congrats you both, you have something not many people find this young." He raised his glass. "To James and Lily."
Everyone clapped as Loralei and Sirius switched spots.
"Well, I have to say, I'm the only one here who has known James the longest." She told them. "Trust me, Lily. He drove me crazy trying to get you to come over, and he got really upset that one summer when I got this." She unfolded a letter and cleared her throat. "'Dear Loralei, I can't wait to get back to Hogwarts! It's going to be a great year, I can't wait to try Divination. Anyway, can you believe how cute Remus has gotten? I know you're friends with him, so maybe we could all hang our without your brother?'" Loralei looked up. "She underlined without, by the way." She looked back down to the letter. "'See you next week! Lily.'" Loralei folded the letter and looked back up. "So, James, sorry to break it to you, but your wife had a crush on one of your best friends first. Have a good marriage!" She laughed, jumping off the stage.
Lily was blushing so bad her face matched her hair. James couldn't stop laughing. Remus had this blank look on his face. Loralei hadn't warned any of them. Fabian and Gideon were nearly falling off their chairs. Everyone was laughing.
"I think this was a pretty damn good wedding." Sirius said, as they watched the happy couple as they laughed.
"You bet."
