A/N: Whoa this whole college applications and end-of-the-year, and school and SAT exams and French classes are really taking a toll on me...

So sorry for the late update guys!

I'll omit my usual shout outs section to avoid losing more time, so to all who reviewed...thanks a million, you guys were my inspiration for writing this chapter!

One thing I WILL say though, congrats to OuToFmYmInDbAcKiN5MiNuTeS and DeniseDEMD for correctly guessing the sequel's main problem and plot! Good observation skills guys!

Enjoy,

Ch. 45: Silent Scream

When the guys returned it was already night time. All of them were feeling a lot better, their spirits considerably higher than when they'd thought Logan was leaving for good. Frankie had bid them all goodnight already since he had to go over and help Mia get ready for bed.

They entered Carlos and Logan's room before Carlos stopped dead in his tracks.

"What's wrong?" James asked him, noticing the Latino's hesitation.

"I-I don't think this is a good idea," Carlos said softly, looking sadder than ever.
"Why?" Kendall asked him.

"L-Logie hates me now," Carlos said while his eyes filled with tears "He nearly left last time when I tried to go near him...the last thing he must want right now is to share a room with me..."

James sighed.

"I hate to say this but...he's right," he said "If...if we want Logan to get better then I think it'd be best if...if we switched rooms for a while..."

"This is insane!" Kendall exclaimed "Carlos, you're obviously miserable without Logan, I think that's proof enough that you're in love with him, and he misses you too. Why don't you two just get back together and pretend this never happened at all and move on with your lives?"

"He got raped, Kendall!" James snapped at him "That's not something you simply get over..."

"And he wanted us to get married, Kendall," Carlos added "I don't want to be married to him...or anybody...I'm too young to get married..."

'Well, so am I' Kendall thought frustrated but didn't say anything out loud.

"Fine," he huffed "Go get your stuff then, I'll see if I can find Logan anywhere..."

As Carlos and James hurried off, Kendall remained by the entrance feeling his head begin to pound. Everything was turning much more complicated than he'd originally thought.

He was brought out of his self-pitying thoughts by a loud scream.

Not stopping to think about what was going on, fearing the worst, Kendall sprinted toward Logan's room.

His heart fell as he saw Carlos and James kneeling over Logan who was sprawled on the floor, evidently unconscious.

A distinct odor, however, told Kendall that this wasn't anything particularly life-threatening.

"Logie, Logie, wake up!" Carlos blubbered.

"Carlos, relax," Kendall said as he stepped over Carlos and together, he and James lifted Logan and placed him on the bed.

"Is-is he...?" Carlos asked fearfully.

"He's not dead, or hurt in any way if that's what you're fearing," Kendall said nonchalantly "Although he's drunk out of his mind-that's for sure..."

"Drunk?" James repeated sharply "But Logan's never had alcohol before..."

"There's a first time for everyone..." Kendall said with a sigh.

"So what do we do?"Carlos asked, peering anxiously at Logan.

"You two should probably go make some coffee, he'll need that and some aspiring when he wakes up-he'll most likely have a killer headache..." Kendall said logically "Oh, and while one of you does that, the other should keep mom and all adults out of this apartment...we don't want them to find him like that. Most importantly, keep this quiet. Nobody needs to know about this, alright? We've managed to avoid bad press throughout this trip-let's keep it that way, shall we?"

The other two nodded.

Kendall turned back to face his friend passed out on the bed and sighed.

"I'll stay with him, in case he wakes up," he offered.

The other two nodded before leaving, Carlos hastily gathering all his stuff from the room and exiting along with his brunette friend.

15 min. later...

Logan stirred fitfully as he woke up with a nagging headache.

"Ow, my head," he said pitifully, bringing his sore arms up to rub his temple "What the hell happened to me? Why do I feel as if I got hit by a truck or something." He said, his voice raspy.

"Well...that's to be expected, seeing how much alcohol you took, dumb ass," Kendall answered while he gave Logan some pills and a cold glass of water.

"Not helping," Logan mumbled disgruntled but grateful nonetheless for the pills.

"Dude, what's gotten into you?" Kendall asked him "Since when do you drink away your problems?"

"Since when do you care?" Logan grumbled as he lay back down. Nonetheless, he took the cold, wet rag that Kendall offered him for his head.

"Logan, drinking's never the solution to one's problems..." Kendall said.

"Says the guy who began drinking when he was 10, and who got drunk and cheated on his boyfriend..." Logan muttered.

"Logan!" Kendall hissed, anxiously glancing around to be sure no one else had overheard them.

"What? It's true..." Logan said nastily.

"Shut up," Kendall said "Logan, man, I know you're hurt but...destroying MY relationship won't make it better...please man..."

"Whatever," Logan said with a roll of his eyes "I hope you're very happy with your illusion of a marriage..."

"That's it!" Kendall snapped while standing up "I was going to give you a choice but not anymore, James is rooming with you from now on because I can't stand you right now..."

"Gee, thanks," Logan said sarcastically "Wait...why is James rooming with me? What happened to Carlos?"

"Do you really want to share a room with him after what happened?" Kendall asked him, eyebrows raised "Because if you do...by all means go ahead, I'd rather be with my boyfriend so..."

"I'll share with James," Logan said glumly.

"We need to talk, man," Kendall said "I mean, I know you're feeling pretty miserable right now but...how you've been dealing with this is not okay...if you need to talk...we're still your friends, Logan, please let us help you..."

"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time that you guys keep stuff from me that hurts me," Logan said coldly.

"I didn't know!" Kendall exclaimed "Trust me, Logan, if I'd known I'd never have kept it from you..."

"Of course you would've...you're lying to James now and you say he's the love of your life," Logan said with a scoff "Well, if you lie to the person you're going to spend the rest of your life with, why wouldn't you lie to me as well? After all...I'm nothing to you other than a band mate..."

"You're my best friend..." Kendall said, hurt by Logan's accusations "Much more than a band mate Logan..."

"So is Carlos," Logan said indifferently.

Just then, James and Carlos arrived at Logan's room carrying mugs of coffee.

"Oh, you're awake," Carlos said in a really small voice "I-I guess I'd better leave now...um...here's your coffee..." and he placed the coffee cup in Logan's bedside table.

"You-you don't have to leave if you don't want to..." Logan said stiffly, forcing himself to be civil towards his ex-boyfriend.

"You're talking to me again?" Carlos said, unable to keep the hope out of his voice.

"We'll still be working together..." Logan said in a detached tone "It's not like I have a choice...and you're THEIR friend so..."

"I'm your friend too," Carlos said softly, attempting to take Logan's hand to give it a comforting squeeze. But Logan quickly pulled his hand away from Carlos' grasp.

"Don't touch me!" Logan snapped.

"Sorry, sorry," Carlos said "I-I didn't think..."

"I'm talking to you because I HAVE to, not because I want to..." Logan said coldly "But you don't get to make me fall for you ever again...I never want to be with you again Carlos, I won't be your friend, your boyfriend, nothing. Only another member of the band..."

"O-okay..." Carlos said, his eyes brimming with tears. He quickly got out of the room 'lest he'd collapse in front of Logan.

The other three remained quiet for some time after Carlos left.

"You were too harsh on him..." Kendall said quietly "He's hurting too, you know?"

"None of us would be hurting at all if it weren't for him..." Logan said, his cold demeanor breaking for a moment as his eyes glistened with tears which he hastily wiped from his eyes before they could fall.

"So...did Kendall tell you about the-the room switch?" James asked gently.

"Yeah...you and I'll be rooming together, Kendall doesn't want to be bothered with me..." Logan said simply.

"Oh, okay," James said before Kendall could retort back "Kendall, can I talk to you outside for a minute?"

"Um...sure," the blonde said uncertainly before following his boyfriend outside...

Outside...

"Are you nuts?" James asked him as soon as they were out of earshot.

"Why? What did I do?" Kendall asked him.

"You want me and Logan to room together-knowing Logan KNOWS that I knew about Carlos' secret all along and didn't tell him...and you want to room with Carlos, whom you've been fighting with ever since this whole mess started?" James hissed "Do you want more problems within the band?"

"Logan thinks we both knew about Carlos and besides, he and I sort of already fought while you guys were gone...I just want things to...calm down...with everybody okay?" Kendall said.

"Okay then," James allowed grudgingly "Hope this plan of yours actually works and doesn't begin any more problems..."

"Hey our situation's as fucked up as can be,"Kendall said logically "It can't get any worse right?"

He'd soon realized things could indeed get MUCH worse...for all of them...
