A/N: Hello people, and yes, this is becoming quite the regular update day isn't it? I'm sorry.

-4ever with Kames: Oh they'll eventually go back to L.A now worries...but just how many problems will yet have accumulated by the time they get there? Lol. You'll have to read to find out! And you're right in one of your suspicions...you'll see which one soon enough. Interestingly enough, your other suspicion shall be Carlos' problem, not Logan's. So you're right on the problems that will be surrounding Cargan for a while. As for my last sentence this chapter...this chapter will explain why you were right in being nervous about it. Ch. 46: Big Time Rebound

"So, um, what do you want to do?" James asked Logan awkwardly after they'd finished moving all of James' things into the room he now shared with Logan and Carlos finished moving all of HIS things into the room he now shared with Kendall.

"I don't care..."Logan said coldly "You can do whatever you want I guess..."

"Logan, c'mon!" James said frustrated "I get it, you're angry that I didn't tell you about Carlos wanting to break up with you but...cut me some slack, Logan, I didn't know what YOUR plans were, heck, I didn't even really believe Carlos was going to do it!"

"Can we not talk about Carlos?" Logan said quietly, his voice sounding heartbroken, giving away emotion for the first time since the whole mess began.

"Oh, alright," James said quickly, feeling sorry he'd brought it up "So, um, do you want to, uh, watch a movie or something? I don't know-"

"Do you love Kendall?" Logan asked him suddenly.

"I-yeah, Logan, of course I do," James said, startled by Logan's sudden question.

"How do you know he loves you?" Logan pressed on.

"I-uh-I don't exactly know Logan..." James said, uncomfortable with the question "But...I mean, we get along just fine. He misses me when I'm gone, or says he does, he treats me alright and he wants to marry me...so..."

"Carlos was also like that," Logan said bitterly "Until he wasn't anymore..."

James stomach tightened into an unpleasant knot.

"I-I don't know what you want me to say, Logan," James answered honestly.

"I don't know either!" Logan exploded "I just-I'm sorry James, forgive me, just...ignore me okay?"

"You've been hurt, it's completely normal..." James said sympathetically.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you and Kendall..." Logan said miserably.

"That's fine," James said "So? Movie?"

Logan shrugged.

"Sure," he said "Shall I go make popcorn?"

"Oh, please do!" James said with a laugh.

He gazed at Logan's retreating form and couldn't help but hope that, even though things seemed bad right now, they might improve soon...

(With Kendall and Carlos...)

"You know, you could at least try to pretend that you don't hate my guts right now, you've been ignoring me all afternoon," Carlos complained.

The blonde did not even turn his gaze from the T.V.

"I'm watching T.V," the blonde answered simply.

"Bullshit Kendall," Carlos said angrily "If you have a problem with me, then you better say it to my face, not keep it all bottled in..."

"If you were smart you'd leave me alone!" Kendall snapped "Maybe then I'd think you at least regret what you did...you've ruined everything!"

Carlos gasped in pain.

"It's not my fault you couldn't appreciate what you had..." Kendall continued "And yet you ALWAYS do this. You always drag me into your messes and now I can't even share a room with my boyfriend because you messed things up with yours..."

"If you were really my friend you'd at least understand me, it'd be fine if you can't sympathize with me but you'd at least respect my decision," Carlos said, fighting off the tears that threatened to fall down his cheeks.

"How can I understand you?" Kendall exclaimed "What you did what a total madness! Logan did nothing wrong!"

"I never said he did!" Carlos retorted "But if you were to decide suddenly that your relationship with James was making you unhappy and you ended things with him I wouldn't understand you either...but at least wouldn't try to make your life a living hell!"

"Carlos, I'm sorry, but I can't really sympathize with you right now..." Kendall said coldly "I understand the part about you being unhappy but did you ever stop to think about the repercussions this might have on Logan? On us? In the band? No, of course you didn't, you thought only of yourself..."

"I never thought he'd react that way!" Carlos exclaimed "And I sure as hell didn't know he'd be attacked that night or I never would've left him alone!"

"You were being selfish from the beginning," Kendall said coldly "So what if you were unhappy with your relationship? So what if you weren't sure getting married was the right thing? Sometimes you have to sacrifice some of your happiness so everyone else around you can be happy..."

"I'm not you," Carlos snapped "I won't pretend everything's happy and well when I'm obviously miserable for the sake of a boyfriend I might not even love..."

"I love James!" Kendall yelled at Carlos angrily.

"Really? 'Cause it doesn't look that way to me!" Carlos snapped back.

"I don't want to talk to you anymore...the point of this arrangement was so that Logan and I wouldn't fight, not so that I could fight with you..." Kendall said.

"Fine, don't talk to me," Carlos said simply.

Both boys sighed internally as they felt their life-long friendship crumble in front of their eyes...

(With Logan and James...)

"Do you want to kiss again?" The woman asked her partner onscreen before she and her boyfriend began making out once again.

James groaned. He really hated this chic flick. Normally he was a sucker for romance but right now, he found this movie intensely gross and definitely didn't regret not having been able to see it in the movie theatre that other time.

"Tell me again why we're watching Kiss & Tell ?" he asked the smart boy who seemed enraptured by the movie.

"Shh!" Logan hissed at him "This is the best part..."

"How so?" James asked him "For one, we're both gay so a movie with a straight couple making out does not really appeal to me...plus, don't you think actually making out with someone is much better than seeing others make out in a movie?"

"You're right," Logan said quietly "It IS better to share love with someone..."

James realized his mistake then.

"Oh shit, I didn't mean it that way Logan," he said softly.

"It's alright," Logan said, although his eyes were a bit watery "I understand...you're happy, and living a dream right now, you shouldn't be with gloomy old me,"

As the make-out scene began to get more intense Logan actually began crying.

"Oh Logan," James said wrapping his arms around his friend while turning off the movie mid-scene.

"No, no I want to keep watching it!" Logan said sadly, drying up his tears.

"Why?" James asked him "It only hurts you..."

"I-I want to see what real love's supposed to be like..." Logan said in a pitiful voice.

"What, by watching this?" James asked, eyebrows raised "Logan this is Hollywood...dude, we live in Hollywood. Haven't you learned anything about the city in all the time that we've been there? It's all fake! What you see in that movie...it's not real love. It's all acting, it's like saying me and Natasha are in love and have a baby together...it's not real!"

"Well then what is?" Logan cried anguished "Because I thought I knew what real love was and turns out I didn't! I didn't know at all!"

"You're seventeen years old..." James said quietly "You have a lifetime ahead of you...nobody said you find true love in your first try..."

"I'm hurting," Logan said, tears beginning to well up in his eyes once again.

"I know you are..." James said "And you might be for some time. Give yourself time to get over Carlos. You'll see that, eventually, this will just be a bad memory from the past. You're going to be fine..."

"Nobody will want me anymore..." Logan said sadly "I'm damaged..."

"You're not!" James said firmly "Listen, I get it...what those guys did...I really wish it hadn't been you in there at all. I know they were harsh on you, I know that they hurt you but they haven't changed who you are or what you're worth, Logan, they can't..."

"I was r-raped," Logan said in a really small voice.

"So was I," James said, hugging Logan close to him "It doesn't change who we are or that we're good people, Logan, and we deserve to be happy and people who love us..."

"I'm scared," Logan said, his voice now barely above a whisper "What if it happens again? E-ever since that day I-I keep having these nightmares..."

"Oh Logan!" James said "Nothing like that's ever going to happen to you again okay? I promise. We'll protect you...I'll protect you, I'll never let anyone hurt you again, alright? You're my best friend..."

"Right," Logan said.

And then James felt Logan crash their lips together, kissing him with an urgency that bordered on violence, desperate and needy.

"Logan!" He gasped, firmly pressing his hand against the smart boy's chest as he tried to kiss him again "Logan, stop!"

"Why?" Logan murmured caressing James' cheek "You're so pretty..."

James sighed before grabbing Logan's hand in both if his own, stopping his actions.

"Logan, no," he said "This isn't right. You're rebounding..."

"No, I'm not," Logan said "I like you James, I really do..."

"You love Carlos more than me and I am getting married..." James said "I'm sorry, Logan, I love you, as a friend yeah, but I'm in love with Kendall..."

"But he doesn't love you!" Logan exclaimed frustratedly "There's-there are so many things you don't know about Kendall, James-"

James held up a hand to silence him.

"Stop, just stop now, Logan," James said sadly "I-I think I'd better leave...you're hurting and...you might want to be alone right now...it's better that way..."

And he left without another word, leaving Logan crying on the floor. Once he was sure James was out of the room, Logan headed straight toward the fridge and, without thinking much about it, grabbed another six-pack of beer.

Within the hour, all cans were empty...

A/N: Dun dun dun! So there you go, Logan kissed James...what will happen now? What will Kendall and Carlos think when/if they found out? What was Logan about to say when he told James that there was much that he didn't know about Kendall?
