Loralei wrote down the prophecy, and went on with life. Keeping it in the back of her mind. She didn't see how many things changed until she went to an Order of the Phoenix meeting and saw her fiancé, brother, sister-in-law, and best friend all there.

"You're a part of this?" Sirius demanded, standing up when he saw her.

"You are?" Loralei replied. "What the fuck is going on? I was gone for no more than two weeks." She searched the room for Dumbledore. She was done with being out of the loop. She had done so much, and she still wasn't privy to information she would find out anyway.

"Sirius is a part of this now?" She demanded, interrupting whatever he was saying to Kingsley Shacklebolt.

He looked at her for a moment before replying. "Yes, did you not expect him to be?"

"I expected to be told." She told him. "I saw you the moment I got back last week, and you didn't say a word. I've not been more than a ten minute walk from you for the past week. You never thought I'd want to know that I can talk to my fiancé about this?"

"I thought he should tell you." Dumbledore stated.

Loralei ran her fingers through her hair. "Do you not realize how frustrating this all is?"

Dumbledore opened his mouth to speak, but Loralei cut him off before he started.

"I want to go home. I have done nothing at Hogwarts. There are no attacks or even close to it. I want to go home." Loralei told him. "Katie does too. You got what you wanted, now give us what we want. Get someone else to watch your kids. I'll tell you what, when my god-kids get there I'll happy go back, but until then, give me my life back."

He stared at her a moment. "All right, then."

Loralei scowled at him. "I am done with being used. Telling me what you want straight will get you a lot farther with me. I'm leaving now. I think you can inform everyone for me what happened with the veelas." And with that, she stormed out of the building.

"Loralei!" Sirius ran out behind her. Snow was falling around them as Loralei hugged her jacket around her. She was upset. Beyond upset. Her french braid was messy and hair was falling out around her. Her cheeks were pink from emotion and the cold.

Loralei didn't even think twice as she turned around and waited for him to reach her. When he stood in front of her, she stepped closer and let her head fall onto his chest.

"What is going on?" Sirius asked.

"I don't even know anymore." She told him. "When were you brought in?"

"Last week was the first meeting we went to. You?"

Loralei sighed. "Since before Christmas. We didn't do much, though. We just back from the Norwegian Mountains looking for my grandfather's tribe."

"And?" He asked.

"We're not going to get any help from them. We're not going to have to fight them either." Loralei told him. "I just can't be in there a moment longer. I'm done with not knowing the truth." She paused. "Where's Katie?"

"She saw Colin and pulled him into an empty room to have her way with him."

Loralei rolled her eyes. "Speculation?"

"No, she literally said that she was going to have her way with him the moment she saw him."

Loralei laughed, looking up at him. "I missed you."

"I missed you too." He kissed her softly. "And you get to come home with me."

"And I get to come home with you." She smiled. "Now, I doubt you want to go back into that meeting. How about we just go home? Then, in the wonderful words of our friend Katie, I get to have my way with you."

"Like I would ever say no to you."

It seems Loralei was being punished for leaving Hogwarts. Katie was allowed to go into the field, but Loralei was given a desk job. She was supposed to sort which cases were of more urgency than others and hand them-in order of most urgent to least-to Moody. They may be punishing her, but she was going to do her best to show them that she could do the job better than anyone else.

At least she was with her family. Watching Lily's belly grow, and watching Remus fall in love with Tessa. She even enjoyed holding Lily's hair as she threw up from morning sickness. Because she was there. She didn't have to hear about anything in a letter or secondhand. She was there.

Loralei was there for the Weasley's again when they had their sixth child in March, which they named Ronald. She felt so sorry for the kid. Fred and George were smart enough not to pick on their older brothers-most of the time...they enjoyed messing with Percy sometimes-but with a younger brother? He was in for an interesting childhood to say the least.

"What are you naming him?" Loralei asked Lily as she made them some tea. It was the end of July and Lily had been put on bed rest by her doctor. Loralei took the day off to make sure she wouldn't get too bored.

"It could be a girl." Lily said.

Loralei gave her a look. "Lily," she gestured to herself.

Lily laughed. "Right." She nodded. "Well, Harry for a boy."

"Harry Potter." Loralei said, trying out how the name sounded. "It's a pretty cool name."

"What do you want him to call you?" Lily asked, smiling since Loralei liked the name.

"Auntie Lore." Loralei told her, as if obvious. "That's what the Weasley's call me anyway. That or Auntie Lei. I pretty much respond to both." She set the tea on the little table beside Lily where she was laying.

Lily nodded. "Sounds good to me. Are you going to be a good influence on my son?"

"I'm going to teach him how to get all the girls." Loralei joked. "He will be the resident hottie of Hogwarts. How could he not, with you and James being his parents? You're both too damn pretty."

Lily laughed. "Even with me being the size of your house?" She gestured to her stomach.

"Yeah. Like, you should be a model for maternity clothes or something. It's not fair. I'm part veela and I know I'm not going to look as good as you when I'm pregnant. You're glowing."

"I'm sweating." Lily laughed. "But thank you."

"When do you think he's going to want to come out?" Loralei asked.

"I hope soon." Lily told her honestly. "I think I'm ready to be done being pregnant."

"Do you want some spicy food?" Loralei asked. "I read in one of your books that that can bring on labor."

Lily laughed. "Thanks, but no thanks. I promised James that he would be here if I ended up trying stuff like that. He wants to be here through the whole thing."

"I have a feeling that you're going to be yelling at him at some point of bringing little Harry Potter into the world." Loralei told her.

"I would have no doubt."
