"Where is Sirius?" Loralei yelled, storming into the Auror department. She had left Snow with the Weasley's. She hadn't said when she was getting back. She wouldn't let herself give up until Sirius was set free. Until she could take him home with her.

Everyone stared at her, but no one would say a word. They stared at her like she was someone to fear, not the woman who had recently come back to work and had a baby. Not the woman who told everyone she saw good morning as she passed through the hall to her office. She looked like she was ready to kill.

"SOMEONE ANSWER ME!" She screamed, feeling like a fish in a fishbowl. She wasn't supposed to be watched like a play. She was to be respected and feared. The last living Potter besides the nephew that she did not have in her custody.

"POTTER!" Moody shouted back, he looked livid with Loralei, but Loralei wasn't afraid. The worst he could do to her was fire her. That would not mean much to her since her boyfriend was now in-or on his way to-Azkaban and James and Lily were murdered. "My office. Now."

Loralei thought that was better than nothing. He could give her answers. She didn't change her attitude. She stalked into his office. "I heard that Sirius was arrested. Why? We both know he wouldn't do anything to my brother and Lily, let alone Harry! He's just a baby! Speaking of that. Why don't I have him? I am the closest to them. I'm James' sister."

"Cool down, Potter." Moody told her, shutting the door. "You have a child to look after, and if you plan on getting your boyfriend off with murder, then you're going to have to not act like this."

"Then how am I supposed to act? My brother and best friend are dead. My boyfriend is being accused of murdering thirteen people and causing the death of my brother and best friend." Loralei snapped. "He didn't do this. He couldn't do this. He wanted to protect Harry, James, and Lily more than anything. He is innocent."

"I don't know." Moody stated. "He seemed pretty out of his mind when I caught him."

Loralei's expression became murderous, but she needed to know more. "Tell me."

"I don't know why he did what he did, but the evidence points to him. Maybe they threatened his daughter, or they threatened you. There are many things they would have done to make him do what they asked. He doesn't seem like he is willing to tell." Moody told her.

"Doesn't this stink to you?" Loralei asked. "You've known us for years. Years. He would not do this. He would never do this."

"Yes, but I also know that he failed the test to become an auror because when his test showed you and your daughter dead he became distraught." Moody stated. "That's not exactly going for him right now."

Loralei raised her head higher. "Alastor, you can't do this. My family is already broken as it is. You can't take away an innocent man."

"Then you need to look into it. It's no longer in my control. He's already on his way to Azkaban." Moody told her. "You'll need to take apart the evidence in your free time."

Loralei didn't look happy. "And what about Harry?" She asked. "Do I get to take care of my nephew?"

"He is at his maternal aunt's house." Moody told her. "He has already been taken in, and the Potter's never specified who got Harry in the case of his death besides Sirius, and he is no longer able to take care of him."

"I don't get my nephew?" She looked like she was going mad now, her eyes too wide, her lips pursed, her jaw set forward.

"No. She has already agreed to take care of him, she has a son of her own, and she is married..."

"So because I'm not married, I'm less likely to be a good parent? I am a very good parent to my daughter." Loralei told him.

"The courts will be more likely to sway to Mrs. Dursley's side." Moody stated.

"I'm going to fight for him. He should be raised in his world, not the muggle one. When he shows his magic he will be treated like a pariah." Loralei's voice became quieter as she finished, remembering some of Lily's stories from her childhood...when her sister would call her a freak. Loralei shook those memories out of her head. She couldn't feel sad right now. She had a war to fight.

"Not everyone believes so." Moody told her. "Maybe it is better that none of this happen. A child tossed between too many people is not healthy. He should stay with one family."

"You're right, but his parents are dead." Loralei's voice broke on the last word, so she cleared her throat. "You can't tell me that he is better with Petunia. You haven't met her. She's a bitch. She'll abuse Harry in some way, you mark my words."

"I can neither agree or disagree, but the courts are already making her his legal guardian."

"Already? The bodies aren't even cold." Loralei sneered.

"It has been pushed through rather quickly with a name like, 'Potter' being thrown around." Moody told her. "You know that as well as anyone."

Loralei nodded, thinking for a moment. "Will I be able to get my nephew with my name?"

Moody shook his head slowly. "I doubt it. Dursley has Dumbledore on their side."

"Dumbledore." She shouldn't have been surprised. He was always poking his head in family business. "It looks like I have another visit to make today."

"Tell me what you were thinking. Go ahead, make my day." Loralei told him after storming into his office at Hogwarts. Dumbledore just sat in his chair as she ranted. As she threatened. Nothing would stop her anyway.

"He needs to be kept out of the lime light." Dumbledore stated.

"And you don't think I can do that? I've been able to remain out of the papers for the last few years, haven't I?" Loralei replied. "Do you not think that I can raise two children?"

"I think you can do whatever you set out to, Loralei." Dumbledore told her. "But I do not think that you are thinking this through."

"So you expect me to give up my nephew because it's hard? No way." Loralei said. "I'd be a better parent to him than anyone else. Those people are the worst people to get him. They don't want him! I do. I want him more than anything."

"You want to have him grow up around magic and around people who could potentially kill him if they were still a Death Eater?" Dumbledore asked. "That is not safe for a child who can barely protect himself."

"I don't associate with Death Eaters!" Loralei sneered. "I'm an auror! I could keep him safe. I would keep him safe. I would protect him with my life!"

"And what of your daughter's life?" Dumbledore asked. "What happens to her in this scenario?"

"The Weasley's would take care of her. Just as I would take care of their children if they died." Loralei said confidently.

Dumbledore sighed. "What's done is done." Dumbledore said. "We can't change it now."

Loralei almost snarled at him, her hands hitting his desk has she leaned forward with a sneer on her face. "Watch me."

"I'm going to be gone for a little bit." Loralei told Molly. "Can you look after Snow?" She asked. She stopped at home just for a bit. She needed to make sure that the Weasley's knew she was okay, and had calmed down than when she was when she got the letter from the Auror Department about Sirius' arrest. Or more calm, she still was a bit on a rampage.

"Of course." Molly nodded, taking Snow from Loralei. "When will you be back?"

"I don't know. Soon." Loralei swallowed. "I just need to take care of something."

"Do you need to talk about what happened?" Molly asked softly. There was sadness in her eyes as well. She knew James and Lily. "You can tell me anything, Lore."

Loralei shook her head. "I need to do something, Molly. I have to. He's my nephew."

"I know." Molly nodded, placing her hand lightly on Loralei's shoulder, trying to comfort her the little she could. "If you ever need to talk, I'm here."

"Thank you."

The clouds above Loralei swirled as she stood in front of 4 Privet Drive. The wind blew her hair in different directions. She was sure she looked frightening in her black clothing. Especially frightening for the muggles who lived in the house in front of her. They should be.

Loralei wasn't scared to go inside. She was more frightened by what would happen if she didn't. She needed to see her nephew. She needed to talk to them, even if he couldn't talk back. Make them give her the child she needed to take with her. She had at least met Harry once. She loved him since she found out Lily was pregnant. These people didn't know anything about him.

Loralei knew what she went there for. At the very least they would come to an agreement with her. She wouldn't let this effect her daughter in a negative way, but she had to do something. Harry would not grow up with these hateful people being his only family. They would treat him with the respect they should. Loralei would make sure they did. She didn't have to use magic to threaten them. She could always hurt them in other ways. Money could buy Loralei much.

She walked to the door slowly, almost like she was floating and raised her fist to knock on the door. Loralei could hear crying from the other side of the door, but that didn't concern her. She would be crying too if she was just over a year old.

The door opened with a low creak.

"What are you doing here?"
