Chapter 13: The Golds Unite! The Forbidden Technique!

"I'm alright." Saori assured, Holy Mercury catching her before she collapsed. "We must move as quickly as possible. To Pallas."

"Athena's Cosmo is greatly weakened." Kiki noted. "Does that mean that Pallas is close?"

"Hey," Harbinger called. "Don't you guys feel a giant Cosmo on the other side of that door?"

"What is this?" Seiya gaped, Harbinger opening the doors to reveal an arena. "A building within a building?"

"A Class-1 Pallasite's Cosmo must have created this space." Kiki reasoned.

"I feel an incredibly big Cosmo." Harbinger added. "And I guess it's coming from you." He remarked, the group stopping before Hyperion. "Are you a Class-1 Pallasite?"

"I am no longer a Class-1 Pallasite." Hyperion replied. "No, I'm not even a Pallasite serving Pallas. I am Hyperion, of the Cataclysm Slash."

"Cataclysm Slash?" Shiryu echoed.

"The blade that killed Genbu?" Kiki gasped.

"This holy blade will end your lives, as well." Hyperion declared.

"You think you can win against five Gold Saints and four Senshi?" Harbinger questioned. "You have some strong bones. But I can handle you myself. Great Horn!"

"Cataclysm Slash!" Hyperion countered, the attack not only nullifying Harbinger's attack, the force was powerful enough to totally destroy his Cloth.

"Harbinger!" Kiki exclaimed. "His Gold Cloth was damaged? No, not damaged…" he corrected. "It's nearly destroyed."

"Hyperion, was it?" Shiryu stopped Seiya from attacking, Holy Mercury and Cosmo Saturn going into full medic mode to close up Harbinger's injury.. "I shall avenge my fellow student, Genbu."

"Fellow student?" Hyperion echoed. "Is that so? So he was your… he was quite a man." He admitted. "He managed to scratch my holy blade. But that was because I was not the one wielding it. Only I, the Cataclysm Slash's true master, can bring out its full power."

"I shall destroy it with my Libra Cloth." Shiryu swore.

"I had hoped for much more from you, but that's all you had to offer." Hyperion sighed, blocking Shiryu's punch effortlessly and slammed him into a pillar.

"Shiryu!" Seiya exclaimed, and turned to take on Hyperion himself, only to be knocked by the blade's energy. "What?" he spotted the crack on his shoulder pad.

"With your attacks, you Saints destroy atoms." Hyperion stated. "But my Cataclysm Slash can destroy protons, which are even smaller than atoms."

"It destroys the protons that make up atoms?" Kiki echoed.

"The Cataclysm Slash is the most powerful of the Shitennou's holy blades." Hyperion added. "You cannot defeat it."

"Even so, we cannot retreat." Shiryu declared.

"Yes, we promised the young Saints that we would take Athena to Pallas." Seiya agreed.

"Our attacks seem to have no effect at all." Shiryu winced, both he and Seiya were knocked backwards.

"Of course not." Hyperion snorted. "My Destructionector holds the power of three Gold Cloths; Leo, Taurus, and Aries."

"That explains a lot." Holy Jupiter muttered.

"Did you say Taurus?" Harbinger demanded.

"Even all the Gold Saints together could not defeat me." Hyperion declared.

"Cocky, isn't he?" Cosmo Saturn snorted.

"Our Cloths will not lose." Shiryu snapped. "For generations, the Saints have passed down these Cloths. They hold these Saints' desires."

"Desires?" Hyperion echoed.

"The desire of these Saints to protect Athena, even at the cost of their lives." Seiya elaborated. "I'll show you the hopes and the Cosmo passed down for generations. Atomic Thunderbolt!"

"Dragon, rise to the heavens." Shiryu took over after Hyperion blocked off the attack. "Rozan Shô Ryu Ha!"

"Is that the extent of your desires?" Hyperion scoffed, cancelling the attack and took both Gold Saints out with a single energy blast. "Desires… I have something I believing in, as well."

"Then, you are willing to sacrifice your life for Pallas?" Kiki inquired.

"Only a fool would give his life for that girl." Hyperion snorted. "She is simply a tool. To awaken him. Just to be clear, it is not my desire to stop Athena here. My wish is for Athena and Pallas to meet."

"Looks like my suspicion was right after all." Holy Mercury surmised. "You are trying to kill Athena and Pallas."

"Kill Athena and Pallas?" Shiryu echoed.

"He wants the two goddesses to fight and destroy each other." Kiki realized.

"Even if that's impossible, should Athena and Pallas collide, both will be badly injured. They may be goddesses, but if they are weak enough, even my Cataclysm Slash can slay them. And you Saints who protect Athena, you're in my way."

"I shall go to Pallas alone." Saori offered. "So there isn't any need to hurt them."

"Don't be stupid." Seiya chided.

"It would stop this senseless bloodshed." Saori reasoned.

"I cannot allow it." Seiya protested.

"We'll settle things ourselves." Saori insisted. "That is Pallas and my wish."

"Very well." Hyperion relented. "Then I will take you to Pallas."

"I cannot let you go." Seiya stopped her. "I can't let you go alone."

"We Saints are your protectors." Shiryu added. "We cannot put you in danger, not after what Holy Mercury told me."

"Elaborate?" Kiki blinked, everyone else turning to the ice Senshi.

"Pallas isn't the mastermind behind this." Holy Mercury replied. "His master is."

"Fools, you would've actually had a chance to live." Hyperion snorted.

"Indeed, we are fools." Fudo admitted. "If Athena and Pallas desire to meet one another, it isn't for a human to stand in their way. And it isn't for a god to go alone into the heart of the enemy, out of love for those who protect her. However, there is a truth there; hearts that care for one another."

"Hearts that care for one another?" Hyperion scoffed.

"Those hearts are strong." Fudo added. "Strong enough to overcome their roles as man and god. And strong enough to defeat even a mighty opponent. I have attained this enlightenment by watching Athena and the humans. And now, I truly wish to see the world they create. Go, Seiya." He instructed. "With Athena. I shall handle this battle."

"Then you'll fight me?" Hyperion questioned.

"Get back, Fudo." Harbinger retorted. "I'll fight him."

"You look well, for one who took a hit from the Cataclysm Slash." Hyperion noted.

"I'll show you the strength of the true Taurus." Harbinger swore.

"No," Shiryu cut in. "You go with Athena. The man who bears her Cloth should stay with her. And I said that I would slay him with the Libra Cloth. Please take care of Athena." He turned to the Senshi.

"Fine." Holy Mercury sighed. "Just don't get yourself killed; I'll hate to tell Shunrei, I don't think she'd quite forgiven me after last time."

"You seem to have reached a decision on your own." Hyperion noted. "But do you really think you're getting through?"

"Shogyo Danzai!" Fudo bound Hyperion in place. "Go to Pallas now."

"Athena." Seiya pulled Saori off. "We're counting on you, Fudo, Shiryu."

"Do you think this will slow me down?" Hyperion scoffed, breaking free.

"Crystal Wall!" Kiki's barrier was immediately in place. "This wall repels all attack. It will defend Athena."

"No time to think about it." Harbinger urged. "We must go forward."

"Mercury, what did you man earlier?" Seiya thought to ask. "That Pallas isn't the real mastermind, but Hyperion's master is?"

"I've been thinking about this for quite some time." Holy Mercury answered. "Nowhere was it mentioned that Pallas had the ability to stop or take away time."

"In other words…" Cosmo Pluto breathed. "We're dealing with the God of Time, Saturn."

"What was that?" Cosmo Saturn winced, as the ground shook.

"They won't…" Holy Mercury hissed.

"It can't be…" Saori breathed. "Athena Exclamation!"

"That forbidden technique?" Harbinger echoed in shock.
