- A Celebratory Ending

BBBBBOOOOOMMMMM!

Simultaneously the two rockets from the RPG-7's exploded upon hitting the giant monstrosity. It ear-piercingly roared in pain and agony.

RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Surprisingly, the tyrant began to shake uncontrollably straight after that horrible yell. The group didn't know what to expect next from the monster and had brought up their weapons to target it, just in case it performed a sudden attack or worse...

But what happened instead was the creature had clenched it's torso and after a tense moment or two out of the blue it burst into one big explosion.

BBBBBBBBAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!

A huge spectacular fireworks display was the result of the gigantic fiend's ultimate demise. It was a luminous spectacle to watch as multi-coloured sparks went out in every direction.

"Phew! We did it!" Ayesha cheered.

"Yeah, as well as saving the world from total destruction!" Jane joyfully added.

"Great timing on your part too Professor Bowmane and Jane, thank you so much for bringing those RPG-7s." Kurtis thanked them.

"No problem!" They both said together.

"This calls for a little celebration, let's go!" Lara happily said, as they all left the empty Olympic Stadium.

The Next Day...

"Good afternoon and welcome to this afternoon's news. Our top story is about five brave heroes who emerged out of nowhere to stop the disaster that occurred, as Eric Copper unveiled three artefacts that not only led him to his untimely death, but also created an unexplainable monster that could have been a big threat to the world. On behalf of everyone we thank you Lara Croft, Kurtis Trent, Ayesha Christensen, Jane Riverton and Professor Igor Bowmane. We now go to Jennifer Brown, the managing director of the Green Copper Industrial Corporation to hear what the company aftermath statement of the disastrous incident is." The newsreader stated. The screen then changed to Jennifer Brown, who currently was in the middle of her speech in a press conference.

"We can only apologise and compensate for what bizarrely happened in yesterday's event at the Olympic Stadium, it was a total misjudgement on our end. Eric Copper forced us to go ahead with the announcement, ignoring all of the risks that were explained to him and paid the price for it. We would like to thank the five people who brought down the monstrous creature that was created from the three relics." Jennifer said to the press. The news program then went on to their next news story and the TV was switched off soon after. Having stayed over at Lara's home the group were sitting in her living room along with Winston. He had been told the whole story, but still had one question left on his mind.

"So how did the Professor and Jane find out what had happened to you and get there in the nick of time?" Winston asked curiously.

"Just before we got captured by Eric Copper on his vessel, we sent a quick message to them saying that he had the third artefact, and for backup we needed a special weapon that had a high impact upon it's target." Kurtis explained, and Jane spoke next.

"After they had sent that message, we sought out that particular weapon and through my sources we had an offer of the RPG-7, so we decided to get two just in case."

"It was also around that time in the late afternoon we heard of the surprise press event that Eric and his company were holding on the Internet. From this we knew that's where they were, so we got there as quick as we could." The professor said to Winston who nodded in reply.

"Ah right that makes perfect sense, thanks. Now Lara, what time are the guests arriving?"

They held a celebration party that very evening, inviting all their friends and nearby neighbours over for a social gathering and meal. Champagne was served during the event and everyone present proceeded to raise their filled glasses.

"Everyone! A toast! To Ayesha, Kurtis, Lara, Jane and Professor Bowmane!" Winston announced.

"Ayesha, Kurtis, Lara Jane and Professor Bowmane!" Everyone cheerfully repeated in the ballroom.

In the mist of the celebrations, Lara disappeared and went to her outside balcony in her room upstairs to get some air. She breathed in the fresh air and thought about the adventure they had successfully done and what she wanted to do next. Just then her balcony glass door opened and Kurtis came through.

"Hey, you alright Lara?" He kindly asked her.

"Yeah, just came out to get some fresh air." She replied smiling at him.

"Ah okay, can I join you?"

"Yeah of course."

A minute passed and Kurtis broke the quietness between them.

"I've been thinking, now that this adventure is over and going back to my question yesterday, what do you plan to do next?"

"I still don't know, you?"

"I'm not sure yet either..."

At that particular moment they stared deeply into each other's eyes...Both knowing what this may lead to, they moved closer to one another and touched their lips together, and then shared a tender-loving affectionate kiss within the moonlight.
