Here's chapter 15 everybody.

Chapter 15: Victims of Circumstance.

It's February 15th, 2774, and for the pass month on the road, Melissa feels so lucky to have met up with Ludmila. They've run into so many checkpoints-Melissa don't know what Ludmila and herself would've done without Ludmila's passport. Melissa don't think she ever would have made it alone. But as they travel through the wide open spaces, enemy troops are few and far between. Actually, they've been on the road for quite sometime without spotting a single Estovakian military vehicle. However, a pickup truck suddenly went right in front of them and made them stop. It looks like their luck has just ran out. The men in the truck are partisans, same origin like Melissa. As the partisans approached them, Ludmila stares at Melissa. Melissa can see the fear in her eyes. Melissa then tried to explain to the partisans that Ludmila is no threat and that she is a student from the Canadian sector. But, Melissa has never been much of a liar.

"She definitely speaks the language-but with a thick Estovakian accent." one partisan said as he point a gun at Ludmila.

"Don't waste your ammo." another partisan said.

Just then, something roars in the sky above. Everyone becomes wide-eyed as three pairs of A-10 Thunderbolt IV's flew low over them. Melissa know it's Ludmila and her only chance of escape.

"Get in!" Melissa yelled at Ludmila. "Hurry!"

"Fire!" one partisan ordered.

"Darn!" the partisan said realizing his gun is not loaded. Melissa and Ludmila escapes right before the A-10s fired at the partisans.

Melissa knows that on the battlefield, you have to put luck aside and take what you get-good or bad. Melissa's fellow countrymen were killed instead of her, and that gives her an eerie sense of relief. But now she have got to accept the fact that she is the next target. It's time for Melissa to dance with the angels.

That's the end of this chapter. Can Melissa and Ludmila survive against the Estovakian planes. We'll catch up with them later. Please review.
