A/N: Its 1:30am and I got school tomorrow at 6:30am. But yet, I still decided to write this becuase I had motivation and it wouldn't have gotten done otherwise. V.V

Chapter 18: Fucking Emotions & Friends

Kagome sighed as she stared at the board of her seventh period class. It was useless to concentrate on anything now-a-days. Her eyes drifted next to her were Inuyasha was sitting playing on his phone that was hidden with the stacks of books that he had placed in front of him as the teacher continued to talk.

It had been three weeks since she had been found in some strange cemetery a couple miles outside the city by him and his father. It felt longer though to her. It had been early Thursday morning when Kagome got out the car at the Tashio Mansion and Touga had explained she wouldn't be attending school that morning.

She had had only nodded her head before being carted off to a random bedroom and placed there. It hadn't matter to her though. Nothing had registered to her as she picked up a clean pair of clothes off the queen sized bed then went to shower in the bathroom.

It was hard. Grasping the situation that is, but when she finally had stepped under the hot water of the shower everything had seemed to come into focus. Everything from that day prior seemed to be a dream, but she knew it was clearly a reality and as she had sank down into the porcelain tub and let the water rain down on her; she cried. She cried so hard that her chest burned more then the water that had turning her skin red.

She couldn't understand why she had cried. It just felt right. Like it was normal.

By the time the water had gone cold, her tears had finally stopped and she had gotten out. It had been hard to remember what happened after that, but when she woke up later that evening she was only wearing Sesshomaru's jacket while curled up in a ball.

The world around her came into focus a minute as she left her thoughts and shifted the over sized sleeve on her left arm to slip over her hand before placing it back on her cheek, letting the fabric brush her nose slightly to take in the too familiar scent of Sesshomaru on the jacket as her mind went back to its thought process.

Touga had gave her a curious gaze when she had later went to his office in the jacket, but had thought it better not to ask her about it, and for that she was grateful. She was surprised at how well he had taken care of everything for her while she was with Sesshomaru. He had gotten all her school work she had missed, taken it upon himself to visit her mother and assure her nothing was wrong and that she was fine.

But as she had sat there and listened to how happy he was that she was safe and fine, the only thing she could think of was that she wasn't. Kami how she wasn't. She had listened til Sunday Inuyasha's non-stop accusations of Sesshomaru and him being a monster till she had finally went home for the first time in over a week since Touga wanted her to catch up on her work at the Mansion Friday and Saturday.

It had been hell for her. Not just because she had to listen to Inuyasha and not rip his head off, but because she also had to deal with her own feelings. She couldn't lie to herself. She never hated Sesshomaru, and she never hated being in that house with him. It was just the fact that he didn't let her have a say in the matter. She was never one to be controlled and Sesshomaru not giving her an option had just pissed her off! So much so that she had gone and made a stupid decision that caused him to leave her in a graveyard.

He betrayed her by leaving her! But honestly she was no better. As she thought about it though tears filled her eyes and she couldn't help but feel stupid. It wasn't like he cared. He didn't have feelings for her. He had just been toying with her the whole time. But why tell her all of his personal secrets if he was just playing with her? It never made sense. But a part of her knew the true. About her feelings and about him.

Kagome yelped as she felt a hand touch her shoulder and looked at Inuyasha's concerned face as she began to feel the sting and taste of copper on her lower lip. She had bit herself. Again.

"You okay? The bell rang and you didn't move." He said frowning.

Kagome looked around at the students that were leaving out the class door to start their Friday.

"I'm fine. Just wondering what I'll do this weekend." 'Probably lay in bed and dream about puppy-earred little kids and sunny beaches again.' She thought sadly. It seemed the dreams only got worse the more she tried to forget. Not that she wanted to though.

"Well," Inuyasha coughed nervously as Kagome grabbed her backpack and headed to the door as her friend followed. "I was kinda wondering if you would like to go to the movies with me tonight. You know, like a date?"

She swiftly spun around and stared at him with a blank face that slowly turn into a frown before she quickly began her way again to the front of the school. Where the hell did he- oh god. She did not have time for him. Her heart was already killing her.

The organ skipped a beat as the school doors swung out before slamming back down in her chest as her mind registered for the millionth time that a black mustang wouldn't be waiting for her that day. Or any day.

'Sadly I had to go and damage that too!' she thought bitterly, still not grasping what her hanyou friend had just asked her.

"Wait! So is that a no?" He asked as he fell into step beside her again, his ears flat against his head.

"No."

"So its a yes?"

"No."

"So it's a-"

"Inuyasha! I don't like you like that!" She yelled in his face as tears brimmed her eyes. She noticed the stray students that hadn't left turn in their direction but she didn't care as she watched the half-demons face in front of her turn dark.

"Oh I see. Keh. When I saw that lost expression on your face the last couple weeks I brushed it off as whatever trauma the bastard caused you, but now" he stepped closer to her and Kagome for once took in the knowledge that she only came up to his chin. "now I realize that it's something deeper then just trauma."

Kagome clenched her jaw as his fingers grasped her chin tightly while his next words left her in an overwhelming shocked. "You're in love with that disgusting bastard."

Her gasp as that truth struck her and the way he snared the ending of his sentence, gave Inuyasha enough time to claim her lips in his as his other arm wrapped around her waist tightly.

It only took Kagome a second though to make the sound of a smack ring throughout the courtyard after pushing the hanyou she now at the moment itched to hurt away. How the fuck did her day quickly go to this?!

"HOW DARE YOU!" She yelled, not caring of the watchful eyes around her. "Not only do you have a girlfriend, you also seem to forget that I don't. Like. You. Like. That!"

Inuyasha bared his fangs at the girl. "Keh, so what? You haven't even tried. Plus, I broke up with Kikyo as soon as you came back. I didn't need any drama and she was getting on my nerves. Besides, shouldn't you be happy I saved you or something. I'm a hero you know? You should be falling on your knees and praising me. Plus other things." he said making Kagome's jaw drop in modification at what he meant and the smug smirk on his face.

Her astonished pause quickly turned to rage though as she gave him a swift kick to his man pride.

He hit the ground hard as his face turned an unnatural shade of blue before Kagome kicked him again in his ribs making him fall to the side. When did her supposed friend turn into such an arrogant prick?

"When you get your shit together and stop trying to treat me like some whore instead of your friend come tell me you're sorry, and make damn sure you have a good apology." With that, the little miko left her ex-best friend in the school courtyard dry-heaving as she growled about arrogant assholes.
