Here's chapter 25 everybody.

Chapter 25: A Light in the Dark.

Back at the underground passageway, Voychek and the children have no where to go since a trap door closes shut on them.

"Everyone, hurry, back to your rooms!" Matilda said.

Everyone and Voychek managed to get to a room just as another trap door closes on them. Now, Voychek and the kids are huddled together in this cramped room. There is no way out-for any of them. Voychek watches one boy who is called 'Radio'-aptly named considering he never parts with his own, as he's spouting off code words used by the Acme fighter pilots as he takes a role of a jet himself. Voychek then took something out of his pocket.

"Hey, kid!" Voychek said to one of the kids before throwing a chocolate bar. The kids cheered and Voychek goes to seat with them.

Voychek looks at 'Radio'. His family owned and operated a well-known restaurant in the city. His father was a talented chef, and his mother a humble young waitress. They were both killed, their restaurant destroyed…all because of the Estovakian aerial assaults. Voychek then looks at Matilda, who proudly sings a song that was sung by her planet's pilots. Voychek had this image in his mind of street children being a symbol of strife and despair brought on by the horrors of war. Now that he had a closer look, he is beginning to see something quite different. These children are lonely, but full of pride for their planet's pilots always with them in spirit. Even with his crippled leg, Voychek feels as though he could dance the night away with an angel. Voychek realized that these children were hiding their treasure-their 'Leader'-protecting it at all costs. Keeping it safe from the invaders.

Meanwhile at the outskirts of Acmetropolis…As Melissa and Ludmila walked the long road, they came across an unusual tank. Melissa seem to remember one of the soldiers from somewhere.

'What is his tank doing out here away from all the action?' Melissa thought the frontline were a bit more to the west.

One of the soldiers, who is Louis, had to drop the two women off.

"Why don't you ladies go on ahead? We've gotta figure out someway to sneak this oversized hunk of metal into town." Louis said.

All right, then. Good luck! Bank job boys." Melissa said.

"See ya! You best get out here and have a nice dance with the angels now." Louis said before pulling out.

Melissa's family's inside joke has become quite the buzzard. Even the captain, her husband, uses it to say goodbye. But it feels strange for her to hear others say it.

They're almost there. And then Melissa saw…something horrible. Acmetropolis-or what's left of it-was transformed into a heavily-armed fortress. Melissa and Ludmila saw up in the sky the Strigon Team aircraft flying over them. The Estovakian military intends to fight to the bitter end. Ludmila stares up at them, holding onto some sort of premonition.

Meanwhile...Voychek opened the briefcase that the children kindly returned to him. This mandate has been sealed for so long, but the time has come to break that seal. Voychek froze when he saw the plans.

'This is…'
