Here's chapter 27 everybody.
Chapter 27: Reunion.
Louis is driving his tank through the underground tunnel, then stops it at a wall.
"All right! The vault is on the other side of those crosshairs." Danny said.
"Justin! Take aim!" Louis ordered.
"Screw this war! We're gonna live like kings!" Danny said.
"And FIRE!" Louis ordered.
The tank fires a shell on its target and Danny cheers. Everyone then inspects the vault. Louis knew Danny wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he never imagined Danny was this stupid. For all he and everyone else know, the tunnel could be off by a darn mile. But it doesn't even matter. They've got a mountain of genuine treasure, the 'Leader', right in front of them.
"So, now what?" Danny asked.
' "Now what", he says' Louis thought. "If my calculations are correct, I'd say it's too big to put in our darn pockets." Louis said.
Meanwhile…Melissa and Ludmila were walking on the streets of Acmetropolis. Melissa was picturing the city to be a darker, more depressing place. But nothing like this. The people look cheerful—some are even smiling. It was all about to make perfect sense.
"Testing, one, two…The war is over. I repeat, the war is over." Louis said as his tank appears with children and the 'Leader' on it.
The people are learning to smile again. And starts singing. Melissa then noticed Matilda on the tank.
"Matilda…Matilda!" Melissa said running towards her.
"Mommy? Mommy!" Matilda said running towards her.
And finally. Melissa was reunited with her daughter.
"My angel!" Melissa said.
"Mom, dance with me." Matilda said.
