I almost considered giving up on this story. I'm getting bored with it, so you must be too.
On a positive note: SEASON 5 OMG! I won't spoil it for you but I will say, SALLY AND GEORGE OH MY GOD. I LOVE THEM. I'd still prefer Ingrid as my sister though, after all, George is a breather.
Your thoughts on the new season?
I OWN NOTHING. OKAY I OWN THE PLOT AND EMARNI AND KATHERINE AND JULIAN BUT THEY'RE PRETTY DULL. I AM GOING TO GO AND READ THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS, BYE.
As Ingrid finished calculating the results she wanted, Vlad stormed into the room. Smirking, she folded the sheet that listed the new members of the high council closed and slid it towards him. He didn't even glance at it. For an awkward moment, it was silent, which was when Ingrid realised she wasn't the only one holding something back.
"Ingrid... You don't recall getting engaged, do you?" Vlad said slowly. It took Ingrid a second to process this. Then, she shook her head even slower than Vlad had spoken. Why would he ask something so ridiculous? Apart from Will and M-M-M-Ma-Ma-Ma- Mali-Malik, Ingrid had never liked anyone. And Will was dead and Malik was her brother. Ugh, how did she ever fall for him?
"Because... Apparently... You're engaged?" Vlad said. Rising to her feet, Ingrid growled at her younger brother.
"What did you say?" She snarled, her fangs lowering dramatically and her eyes turning red. Vlad couldn't help shivering in fear. Ingrid was about to explode with anger and he was sure to get hit.
"Apparently, you and Malik are engaged." Vlad said, ducking instantly. He covered his head with his hands. And it was lucky he did, otherwise he would have been hit very hard in the face by the glass window that stood behind him. It shattered, glass covering his hands and the back of his head. Ingrid was shrieking in frustration. Angrily, she stamped from the room, knocking various objects over as she did so. She kicked straight through the wall, before continuing storming away from Vlad.
"That went well." Vlad said sarcastically, to nobody but himself.

After breaking into a warlock's home, stealing a Concealing potion that worked, drinking it, and finding out he was allergic to witchcraft or something used in witchcraft, Malik was fairly annoyed, to say the least. His sister on the other hand was laughing loudly at the bizarre rash that had appeared on Malik's face and the pain he was in.
"It's not funny, Em." Malik was scratching his arms in anger, until his flaky skin started bleeding. This had never happened to him, or anyone he had ever known, before. Lucky me, he thought sarcastically, I could be the first vampire to die from an allergy.
"I did warn you that we were cursed." Emarni said, "Now, I must go and attend the vote. You will have to sneak into the building on your own. Godspeed, my brother." She patted him on the shoulder, before tying her cloak around her neck. It was odd to see Emarni looking significantly different. Her hair was a much lighter shade, her eyes much darker and her nose a little pointier. She was shorter too, but not unrecognisable. Maybe Vlad wouldn't look too closely?
"Only religious people can say Godspeed." Malik muttered darkly.
"Did I say I wasn't religious?" Emarni raised her eyebrows.
"Are you?" Her brother leant forward with sudden interest. No vampire in the history of time had believed in human religions.
"Did I say I was?" Emarni slammed the door behind her.
"Out of all the sisters in the world and I get her." Malik shook his head, "That is so not fair."
She is my sister, Emarni thought, as Ingrid shook her firmly by the hand. Ingrid had a tight smile on her face and looked like she simply wanted to get this over with, to hell with the council. Trying to look more confident than she felt, Emarni smiled back and was sure her smile was just as unconvincing as Ingrid's.
"Welcome. It will be nice to not be the only girl on the council for once." Ingrid said, but her words sounded empty of any feeling. She stared a little too hard at Emarni. She knows, Emarni thought, she knows that it's me. As Ingrid moved to greet the next person, Emarni could have sworn on her unlife that she saw Ingrid wink at her. Curiouser and curiouser, as a famous author once said. As she entered Garside Grange, Emarni could immediately pick out her father- Count Dracula- who was standing at the other side of the room, and her brother -Vladimir- who was standing on a platform above them all. Emarni tried hard not to look in their direction. They were not her family. She may be related to them, but they were not her family. Family were people that cared for you. These people were strangers to her. Emarni kept reminding herself of that, as her stomach fluttered with butterflies.

Ingrid could see her older sister amongst the crowd, but there was no sign of Malik. Ingrid was hoping he would turn up so she could ask him some questions- before swiftly murdering him, of course. Though she was welcoming others in, to be honest, Ingrid just wanted to leave. And that was evident in her face. The last vampire arrived- Ingrid recognised him as one of the Revamp kids- and all conversations in the room subsided. Ingrid glided across the room to stand next to Emarni.
"Malik with you?" Ingrid muttered, out of the corner of her mouth.
"I do not know who you mean." Emarni lied, with an innocent look on her pale face, "Who is this Malik you speak of?" Complete silence fell, when Vlad slowly unfolded the piece of paper in his hands. It might have been Ingrid's imagination, but she thought she saw someone lurking in the shadows. Somebody reasonably tall. Malik, the vampire thought.
"The new VHC is..." Quickly, Ingrid make a split second decision and darted after the boy. She could see his shadow against the wall, so she continued following. But it wasn't Malik.

"Ingrid Dracula. Rani Em Cavciar. Kialm Cavciar." Vlad read out, wondering who had betrayed him- he ha removed "Rani Em" and "Kialm"'s name from the voting ballot. There's no way they could've made the list.
"Clarissa Mountejoy." Another girl? Ingrid. Swearing under his breath, Vlad continued.
"Vladimir Dracula." Well, that was always going to happen.
"Magda Westernra." Oh, great. What a happy family reunion this was going to be. What was Vlad going to say? "Welcome home Mum, I just handed you power, feel free to destroy me"?
"Olga Dracula?!" No, no, no, no, no. Not Vlad's whiny little cousin, Olga. She must be sixteen by now and have inherited all her powers. Vlad was in serious trouble now, with at least five people on the council that wanted to kill him- possibly six.
"That's not possible." The Count was at Vlad's side instantly.
"I know. How did Olga and Mum-?"
"No, not that!" The Count sounded distraught, "The whole council is full of girls!"
