Chapter 44-Tomorrow Night

Jack pulled away slowly, but he never left their touch: his arms were still wrapped around Elsa's body, with hers around his. At first Elsa couldn't look at Jack directly; when their gaze met she would either lower hers or turn away; meanwhile Jack had to force himself not to turn away. Jack attempted to kiss Elsa again though this time they were awkward with their movements. He leans in but then would Elsa hesitate. The second time he tried, Elsa moved also, catching each other off guard. With their third attempt, Elsa leaned forward while tilting her head slightly to the right, letting Jack finished their contact.

There was a knocking at the door; they both pulled away quickly.

"Elsa?" It was Anna's voice on the other side of the door. "Elsa are you in there?"

Before Elsa could react, she felt a swift gust of wind blown from behind her, and then she heard the window's latch snapping once and then twice all in an instance. The wind also fell suddenly to a stop. She turned to see what had happen and found that Jack was gone. And just as she did, Anna opened the door letting herself in.

"Elsa?" she asked again, seeing how strange her sister was looking. "How long have you been standing there?" noting the traces of frosts climbing the wall and covering the window behind her sister.

Elsa turned towards Anna startled, but she quickly recomposed herself and said "—For some time now; I was deep in thought."

"About what?" Anna asked, while walking over towards Elsa.

"Nothing really, just about what our plan should be next once all the citizens has been evacuated."

Walking around the desk, Anna took Elsa by the arm and gently started leading her away. "Well it's already late, and I don't want you staying up all night when you should be getting some sleep."

"And what about you," Elsa said humorously, "shouldn't you be in bed by now?"

"Well originally I wanted to make sure that Rapunzel was in bed getting her rest—but she wasn't in her room so I went to go look for her, but then ran into Euegen and he told me that she went to make a quick visit to Tooth and Sandy—so then I thought about you and thought I should go check up on you was well and here you…What's that?" Anna pointed down somewhere behind her sister.

"What's what?" Elsa replied. She tuned to see what Anna was talking about, and her shoe had hit something as she turned, and it skated away underneath her desk, making Anna bend down on her knees to reach in after it. Realizing what Anna was talking about Elsa quickly but discreetly waved her fingers. She sent in a single snowflake, hoping her sister doesn't see it, and that the flake reach the dew first before her.

"Oh here it is!" said Anna, pulling her hand back and standing up. She opened up her hand to reveal a thick short piece of an icicle. "Sorry, that can't be right; I thought I saw something round and glowing blue by you." Anna tilted her head to look under the desk again; maybe it's still under there."

"Here, let me thaw the ice and frosts away so then you can check," Elsa offered. With another wave from her hand, she thawed the ice and frosts, including the one rest in Anna's hand. She also stepped aside to allow her sister more room to look.

"Nooo it's not there anymore," Anna said confused, "maybe it was that icicle I had and thought it was something else."

"Probably," and Elsa gently started leading Anna away like she did with her. "Come on then, let go to bed," Elsa encouraged. They walked together up until they reached Anna's room where they parted; from there Elsa made for her own room. When she went in and closed the door, Elsa heard the sounds of frosts forming and went towards it. The sounds came from her window. On the bottom left corner of the glass plate, she saw a message was being inscribed but she couldn't see where Jack was.

Tomorrow? The message asked. And from there, a single snowflake flowed away from the frosts and drifted towards Elsa, nibbling her on the nose.

Elsa smiled. She knelt down and wrote back with her own frosts, Tomorrow.

Elsa didn't want to rush but she was worried. She was having a conversation with Lukas's brothers and it ran latter then what she would've liked. And last night, neither of them had said around what time they were going to meet again, so she was afraid that she may have missed Jack. She made it through the long corridor and was turning into the hallway that leads to her study, but stopped suddenly when she saw Rapunzel was in front of the doors. Rapunzel took noticed of Elsa and walked calmly towards her cousin. When the two were close enough she stopped.

"Rapunzel," Elsa started, "I didn't expect to see you here," she said in honesty.

"While I on the other hand thought you might come here," Rapunzel replied with a grand smile.

"Why was that?"

Rapunzel shrugged her shoulders, "Partly because I wanted to see you," she replied plainly.

Elsa raised her brows in surprise, "What for?"

"One: I thought you might want to know that Tooth and Sandy had recently informed me that they had safely made it out of Arendelle's ocean water territory."

"That's great!" Elsa expressed with gladness, "have the others been informed?"

"Jack, Hiccup and Merida already know. I'll save the news for the others during our usual meeting the next day. Now second, another reason why I wanted to see you it is to really see you."

"…To really see me?"

Rapunzel leaned in to whisper into her cousin's ear, "He's in there waiting for you."

At that Elsa blushed, and Rapunzel saw it, making her smile widen further. Rapunzel also hugged her cousin in joy. "I'm really happy for the two of you; it was about time that Snow Miser come to be honest with his feelings." Elsa giggled, and responded by hugging her cousin back as well. When they parted from their embrace, Rapunzel said "You should go now, he'll have to leave soon; he's running the late night patrol with Hiccup. Oh—and if he does something you don't like or hurt you, let me know, I'll lend you my frying pan."

"You still have that thing?" Elsa asked in amazement.

"And I promise you I will still have it even when I become a full fledge Spirit and Guardian." And Rapunzel left after that.

Elsa entered her study to find Jack waiting for her in the middle of the room, his staff was resting on her desk. He had stopped suddenly, probably in the midst of his pacing. At first neither of them moved, they didn't even say a single word, but nodded in greeting. It was little steps at first when Jack made the first move, when they were close, Jack reached out his hands and she took them. He pulled her close closing the reaming space between them.

Somehow awkwardly, they fell into a steady flow of light conversation, never staying on a topic of discussion for too long. And they kept their voices in a whisper, as though they were talking secretly among themselves in a crowded room, but still loud enough so then only the two of them could hear one another. Jack had moved one of his hands up, lightly resting his finger on the side of Elsa's neck, while leaving his thumb to brush softly on her cheek. "I need to go soon," Jack said, bring his forehead together.

Elsa looks up into his eyes, "Can't you stay longer? There's something I want to give to you." Jack hesitated, but then he brought up his other hand and massages the back of Elsa's neck, and kissed her just above her right eye.

"Give it to me tomorrow night. That way I have more time to enjoy the gift even more."

"…Tomorrow night then." Elsa leaned forward and kissed his noise, letting Jack have the last nibble on hers."

Jack held the dew up-close to get a better look at the snowflake in its core. "It's almost glowing inside, don't you think?" Jack asked, while turning the dew.

"You think so?" Elsa replied, while brushing her braid behind her back and leaning forward for a closer look. "Maybe it's just how it glitters."

"…Maybe." He turns the dew around a few more times before lowering it, and letting it rest on the palm of his hand. "Are you sure you want me to have this?" Jack asked, turning to look at Elsa. They were sitting together on the lounge chair with just an inch of space separating them. "I mean this is really beautiful, it would look better on you than on me."

Elsa smiled, and leaned her head on Jack's shoulder. "I made it with you in mind Jack, but with the way things were between us, I didn't think you would take it. But now…Will you keep it Jack?"

Jack hesitated, but then he smiled and lightly kissed her on the cheek and said he would. Elsa could tell that despite Jack's change in decision, it didn't mean he would settle into it with ease, maybe he'll never get used to it. She knew that some doubts about their relationship—present and future wise will never leave his mind, but Elsa hopes that she could at least relieve Jack of distressing thoughts, to make him forget—even if it was for a short moment.

Reaching out Elsa took the dew from Jack's hand and held it up with her index finger and thumb. "What do you think the lace should look like?" Elsa asked. With her other hand, Elsa tapped the top end of the dew, and as she slowly pulled away a thin line of chain followed. It was formed from ice almost as clear as glass but still flexible. "I was trying to come up with a design for it when you knocked. So do you like this one?"

Jack took a minute to examine the chain, afterword; he took hold of the chain by its base between his fingers and pull, turning it into a thin leathery looking lace. I think this style will go better with my clothes."

"True. But isn't the lace easier to break now?"

"Nah, the other style would've been easier. Beside, so long as I don't let anyone grab hold of it during a fight, it'll stay on. I'm also going to have to keep it hidden under my shirt no matter what; we don't want people to start questioning me where I got it if you know what I mean." Jack pulled a bit further, lengthening the lace. He then turned himself around facing his back to Elsa. "Would you do me the honor?" Jack asked.

"Of course," Elsa replied. Leaning forward, she carefully placed the dew around his neck, and tied the ends of the lace into a knot by first pairing them together. "Check to see if you can untie it," Elsa instruct after she finished tying the knot. Jack reached behind his back and tried loosening it. He managed it on the first try and retightens the knot. Afterword Jack gave the necklace a firm tug and the lace held. He adjusted the dew to rest in the center and tuned himself around to show Elsa.

"How do I look Snow Queen?"

"It looks great on you." As proof of her words, Elsa created an inch thick slab of ice shaped in a large oval, and held it up for Jack. The ice reflected Jack from the top of his head all the way down to where the dew rest, mid center of his chest.

Jack examined himself for a short moment, before looking up from his reelection and into Elsa's eyes. With a tender smile, he caused her to blush in embarrassment. Next he smoothly removed the ice from Elsa's hands and held it for her own reflection to be reflected on it. "Now," Jack began, "I wonder what will look good on you," and he pointed to the ice's reflection with a finger. Elsa looked at herself in the ice. "Any preference Snow Queen?"

Before answering, she gently pushed on the ice to have Jack lower it. And next, leans in close to whisper into his ear, "Surprise me."

Jack turned to look at Elsa with a grin, and kissed her gently: first with a soft peck on her cheek, then one on the side of her jaw, next to follow was her nose, and then finally on her lips. When their kiss ended, Elsa dissolved the slab of ice closed the remaining space separating them. In response Jack wrapped an arm around her shoulder as well as taking her hand into his, holding her close. Elsa leaned her head against him. "Jack?"

"Hmmm?"

"…Can you tell me a story?"

Jack chuckled softly. "A story?"

"A story," Elsa confirmed. "It's been some time since I've heard a story from you. I really miss listening to them."

"Haven't you've gotten your fill from listening to Lukas reading from the Promise Book?"

Elsa paused looking as though she was in thought. And then she turned and buried her face into Jack's chest. "I want to hear the stories from you," she quietly said. She peeked up with eyes the best she could and saw the lines of Jack's lips formed awkwardly; Elsa had to suppress her giggle. Perhaps her words had caused that expression on Jack. If it did, it made Elsa happy to see she could make Jack to react in such a way, and with just words. Elsa could also easily picture both his cheeks turning red to further indicate his heart beating in response to her.

Jack took a deep breath and released it to calm himself. "Isn't it a bit late for a story?"

"Then tell me a short one. A small little story will do."

Jack held her even closer. "Maybe another night, I can't think of any story at the moment to tell you."

"…Then Tomorrow? Tomorrow night again?" Elsa squeezed Jack's hand, urging.

Jack didn't reply with words. He squeezed her hand back, and even if Elsa couldn't see him, she felt Jack planted a kiss on top of her head before laying his head gently on the spot where he had left his kiss.

"We just got the news," Bellflower announced excitedly, as she rushed into the room followed by Hiccup and Toothless. They were the last ones to have entered while everyone else was already seated and was waiting, save for Lukas' brothers, Rapunzel—the doll, Jack, and Merida. Rapunzel was excused under the account of her health. Meanwhile the transportations of the citizens from the Safe Camp back into town were put on hold until the ships return for the next trip, but Jack and the others were still managing the transportations of any spare equipment and supplies to save some time. "My associates have informed me that they are about three days from Corona; the winds are on their side. As soon as all the passengers and their belongings are off, the ships will resupply and turn back."

"And so from there we shall repeat," said Commander Atlas.

"At the rate we're going, we should have every citizens evacuated in a three weeks," comment a counsel man.

"That's per posturing," said Commander Gorm. He leans himself heavily on the table with both his elbows, "These quiet days could end anytime soon. We shouldn't assume so quickly the success of the whole evacuation based on one success transfer—which has yet to be completed."

"Which brings me to our main subject of discussion for today's meeting," voice Lukas, bringing everyone's attention to him. "Lately days are running sound and smoothly: there hasn't been any of the usual ambush from the Nightmares, a few confrontations—fights here and there—spottings of the Nightmares but no dangers. No deaths ether. And I find that rather uneasy."

"I have to agree Prince Lukas," voiced Atlas. "It has been rather quiet lately and I can only assume one thing. They have had more than enough days to lick their wounds from the last battle, so why are they so quiet?"

"Is it possible that they are really planning to go after the citizens?" Anna asked worriedly.

"—No-no-no," Hiccup quickly said. "They don't have enough power to go after the citizens—they-they don't even have a reason to. You and Queen Elsa are the ones they are after, without either of you the Kingdom of Arendelle will be lost, and then they can work from there to build their power."

"But that doesn't mean they still can't increase their strength," stated Lukas, "and that is what concerns me as well as our Being allies. At first we thought that Hans and Pitch were feeding off of the fears of the soldiers and the citizens of Arendelle. With the way how the people's fears were growing, followed by each fight with our enemies' strengths increasing in leaps, it was natural to assume so. As a result, we ended up focusing half our energy to securing their feeling of safety and dissolving as much of their fear as possible. However, it recently came to our attention that Pitch and Hans may not have been drawing strength from them, at least it's not their main source."

"What makes you say that Prince Lukas," voiced a different counselor.

"Because it's been too quiet," Lukas said plainly. "I doubt Pitch and Hans hasn't notice our attempt in moving the citizens to a new safe location—out off Arendelle, but they haven't tried stopping us. That means the citizens are not their source of power."

Elsa felt as though her insides were slowly being swallowed; she didn't like that feeling. She doesn't like what her feeling was telling her. "Then what you're saying, is that whatever Pitch and Hans are plotting—"

"—Is irrelevant, what matter is their source of power: where are they getting their power?"

"…Then what are you suggesting?" Elsa asked, eyeing Lukas intensely.

"I'm suggesting a deeper investigation. Hiccup and everyone else have already investigated the entire western valleys save for the caves. Due to our position at the time we couldn't afford to lose any of them if something were to happen if they were to go in. But now we have to take the risk to discover, and destroy Pitch's feeding power source. Thus I'm purposing to send either one or two of the Spirits into the caves and find anything they can—but if possible, the sources of Pitch's powers."

"—I can understand your reasoning and urgency to wanting to investigate the caves," Eugene started quickly, looking particularly at Rapunzel, but she appeared unconcern with the proposal, rather disappointed. "But we're still in no position to afford to lose any of our Spirits in an investigation mission."

"—I also agree with Prince Eugene," voiced Elsa, understanding Eugene's worries.

"And so do I," voiced Anna, "Until all the civilians are safely evacuated, we need every able body to guard them, especially our Spirit allies."

"I understand all of your concern," Lukas said, emphasizing his words as he tuned an eye towards Rapunzel for a second. "But Pitch and Hans has proven they are not interested nor are focus on stopping the evacuation, thus the safety of the civilians is almost secured, leaving us a bit of room to focus our attention to other matters." Following Lukas' conclusion, the Arendelle Council started voicing their opinions; it was unanimous in agreement with the Southern Isle Prince.

"Bellflower, Hiccup," Elsa addressed, "how do the two of you feel about this?"

The two of them look guiltily at each other, and then at Elsa and the others. "We already has an earlier dissociation about this proposal with Prince Lukas. All of us. Including Jack and Merida. We all agree to take the risk."

Eugene stood up suddenly startling everyone as his chair scooted out roughly against the wooden floors. "Are you crazy?!" He shouted; his voice low and full; his face flushed with red; eyes narrowed. "She—"

"Prince Eugene!" interrupted Lukas, who also stood up just as sudden and fast as Eugene had. Lukas had to pause for a second before he could start to speak, needing to control his temper. "Now," said Lukas, "why are you suddenly so anger?" Eugene didn't say anything. He puffed out a slow breath of hot air, with his eyes still glaring at Lukas. "You seem to be quite concern with the Spirits personally." Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff quickly became alarm with what Lukas was saying, worried as to where he was going with it. "Now why is that?" Eugene still didn't say anything, while Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff couldn't think of anything to say.

Both Elsa and Anna sneaked a glanced at Rapunzel and Hiccup, they appeared unconcern with the situation; once more, guilty. The sisters understood by now that the two and Lukas had something planned for the situation, but they still can't help but worry. "Why are you so angry?"

All eyes were on Eugene, save for a few. "Because," Eugene started, "because I can't…"

Lukas rubbed the edge of his chin with his thumb, pretending to be thinking. "You mentioned she, earlier."

"Lukas?" mouthed Anna.

"She. As in Rapunzel?"

"Lukas!" Anna hissed, but none of the council or the Commanders paid attention.

"Pardon Prince Lukas," intruded Commander Atlas, "Where are you going with this?"

"It's really simple Commander Atlas. Our ally Prince Eugene, is quite worried about his wife—as he should be, considering her health conditions over the past many weeks."

"Y-Yes that's true, but how does this relate to his strong concerns for the Spirits?"

"Commander Atlas, the Spirits have spent many days among us to have created bonds as friends, comrades, possibly even becoming like sisters and brothers to some of us. But they have also been very helpful to us, contributing very much to this war as much as we all have. With that said, I believe Prince Eugene's concern for the Spirits is because he needs them—or more specifically Bellflower."

"Well, why Lady Bellflower?" Commander Gorm asked.

"Because of Princess Rapunzel's sickness as of late, isn't that right Prince Eugene?"

"Yesss," Eugene stretched, with less tension in his voice this time.

"You've been having Lady Bellflower help to heal your wife's sickness, correct?"

"Trying," Bellflower intruded, "making very little progress unfortunately—miserably."

Elsa turned towards Eugene, finally understanding what they were trying to do. "Let me understand," she started, "Eugene, do you wish to have Bellflower exclude from the mission in order to tend to Rapunzel's health?"

"…If possible, please do." Eugene said, finally easing up and seating himself back down, followed by Lukas.

Elsa was aware of Rapunzel's healing capability, and if she remembers correctly, no one outside the knowledge of the Guardians' existence should know of her capability, even for Kristoff despite the revealed of Bellflower's identity to him. However, Elsa was honestly curious as to why her cousin is showing immunity to her own magic healing. So she turned her attention to Rapunzel. "Lady Bellflower, how do you feel about Rapunzel's condition?"

"…I honestly don't know. Every time I manage to make progress with her health, her sickness seems to bounce right back. It's almost like she's unreceptive with my methods and magic—with her sickness that is. Regular healing mentally and physically seems just fine."

"…If that is the case," started a council man, "then in consideration for Her Highness's health, shouldn't we have her on the next ship to Corona? Perhaps if she's safe back at home, she can recover properly." All the other councilors and the Commanders voice their agreement.

"—No, not on the next boat," Bellflower quickly said.

"No?" asked Commander Gorm angrily.

"Sorry that came out wrong; I mean it isn't good to move her yet. Let me tend to her for as long as possible, until the last ships for Corona leaves at least."

"Outrages!" said another council man, "you would have Princess Rapunzel risked her health further so then you can try to amend for your healing failures?!"

"That's not true!"

"—Enough, the both of you!" Elsa said quickly."

"Your Majesty," the councilor addressed, "Princess Rapunzel has already contributed much to this war—a war she and her Kingdom has no need and obligation to participate in; she has already risked her life as far as she needs to, it is our duty then to see to it that her health is in no further risk nor is she in no peril danger. We must send her back as soon as the next ship is ready."

Elsa pinched the bridge of her brows and sighed before she spoke again. "I need time to think about this and to discuss it with Rapunzel; she would want to say a word in this as well."

"As you wish Your Majesty," said Commander Gorm. Before any of the Arendelle counselors could protest, Gorm stood up and said, "Then today's meeting is concluded and we shall save this decision for another day." And the meeting ended just as so,

Several of the councilors made their way out with heavy steps, some of them eyeing Bellflower distastefully as they passed her. As soon as most of them had gone, Gorm went over to Elsa and surprised her by gently, but firmly asked her for a minute of her time, to which Elsa agreed to. When they were close to the windows, Gorm spoke but only in a whisper to Elsa. "Your Majesty, I understand you have great trust in the Spirits, but is it truly wise to prolong this decision?"

"Why Commander Gorm, I thought by now you would have some trust in them." For a second, Elsa thought she caught Gorm's eyes softening, but only for a second. "Better then when I first met them I'll admit, but I will trust them better once they admit to their limits."

"I believe Bellflower was being honest about her limit with Rapunzel during this meeting wasn't she?"

"—She was also being persistent with wanting to keep Her Highness Rapunzel here, even though she is making little progress with the Princess's health. But please bring the decision to a close with Princess Rapunzel to be send home. She is in no condition to be helping with the war up front." Elsa didn't say anything, leaving Commander Gorm to continue speaking. "We can leave Prince Eugene to carry in Rapunzel's place, he has proven capable of carrying both their work alone. Please, send your cousin home for her own sake."

Elsa didn't answer right away, but kept her gaze looking out the window, even when she spoke. "I agreed with you," she said calmly. "I agreed with you and the council men…Earlier I was going to voice an agreement and close the decision but…"

"Yes Your Majesty?"

"Rapunzel has the right to have a say whether or not she stays or leave," Elsa then turn to face Gorm, "but I promise you Commander Gorm, if necessary I will have her get on a boat by force but let me talk to her first, please."

Gorm nodded his head and then he pardoned himself, leaving Elsa alone with the lingering party: Anna, Kristoff, Lukas, Eugene, along with the two Spirits.

XxXxXx

"So it's decided then," said Jack, as he adjusted himself on the lounge chair, "Rapunzel is going to go back home?"

"It would be better this way," said Elsa, seating herself next to Jack, "now Rapunzel wouldn't have to worry about needing to play two roles at once, or be in two different places at the same time."

"But how is it going to work? We need her here as Bellflower."

"The plan is to convince the Commanders and the Council into agreeing to let Rapunzel stay until the evacuation mission is near over. But instead of having Rapunzel get on the last ship to Corona, we'll just have either you, Merida, or Hiccup pretends to take Rapunzel home. But until then, 'Bellflower' will be excuse from the investigation mission. That should give you all plenty of days to finish exploring all the caves before Bellflower is require to join you."

"Alright, what about Blondie's parents, wouldn't they expect to see their daughter coming home?"

"We won't be sending a letter about Rapunzel's return to her parents. We'll have to lie about sending a letter to them during the meeting when we make the announcement tomorrow morning."

"And the Arendelle citizens? Wouldn't they expect to see Princess Rapunzel to come and visits them from time to time while they're staying in her kingdom?"

"But it would be understandable if she doesn't pay any visits on the accounts of her poor health. However, if needed, we can use the dream sands to manipulate their dreams like sandy did to my soldiers back in Tooth's world. We could make it as if they have seen Rapunzel or even have talked with her."

Jack chuckled as he wrapped an arm around Elsa's shoulder, holding her close. "Good plan," Jack complemented, "but you do know that Sandy's the only one who can manipulate the dreams right?"

"Hiccup and Rapunzel are talking it over with Sandy right now. Hopefully he'll help us a little more."

Jack squeezes Elsa's should once, "I hope so too; he honestly really doesn't like to mess with people's dreams, even if it's for a good cause."

Elsa sighed and said, "We really need to thank Sandy and the others for their help in this war after it is over. They've done so much to help us." Jack hummed in agreement.

For a little while, they stayed together in silent, just enjoying the feeling of each other's rising and falling chest with each breath they took. Elsa even reached the point where she felt confident and relax enough to rest her head on Jack's shoulder, with their free hand resting on top of his thigh, and both of their eyes were closed.

"…Elsa?" Jack started quietly.

"Mmm?"

"…You haven't told me when the investigation of the caves will be active."

Elsa didn't want to open her eyes, but she buried herself as deep into Jack as possible without causing discomfort. Jack had to readjust himself slightly to hold her closer, this time with both arms. "Most likely after tomorrow's meeting, during the rest of the day, if not the latest the day after tomorrow in the morning till near dusk. Lukas is eager to find Pitch's and Han's source of fear."

"But not eager enough to send us in while it's dark or night outside," Jack said in a low voice, in which disturbed Elsa.

"You sound rather disappointed with that decision."

"…He's not the only one who's eager to explore the caves …I've been wanting to go into them for quite some time now, even if it meant going in during the night."

Elsa pulled away from Jack's hold in order to look at him. "You're not serious are you?"

Jack didn't back down from her gaze. "Yes, I am. The only reason why I haven't done so is—well, you seen it from my memories. Going in alone is not a good idea, especially now. But I couldn't ask the others to come and partner up with me for the investigation because they were busy enough, and it got even busier once Rapunzel suggested the evacuation mission. But now with Lukas' suggestion we can finally get things moving."

Elsa squeezes Jack's hand. "Snow Queen?"

"Not when it's dark or night," Elsa said quietly.

Jack chuckled softly, "What's the matter; afraid it'll cut into our time together?"

"Not funny Jack," Elsa whispered firmly, turning away as she stood up. A second later jack followed Elsa, as she made her way to the opposite side of the room. "Just promise me," Elsa started, once she turned herself around to face Jack again, "promise me that neither you, nor the others will go in once it gets dark or once it turns night time."

"…Snow Queen—"

"Just promise me."

Jack eventually took Elsa's hand and pulled her close to him again, but they didn't embrace yet. "I promise," Jack said reassuringly, "I promise." He reached up a hand and cupped one of Elsa's cheeks, and kissed her on the noise.

"Do you feel better now?"

"…I still don't want you and the other's going in the caves." Jack nodded and rubbed her cheek gently with his thumb.

Elsa also reached out and touched the side of Jack's jawline. She then traced her way down using her fingers, lightly. She traveled down from Jack's neck, and hooked a finger under the collar of his shirt. Elsa felt the lace, and pulled it out until the dew came out as well.

"I still need to give you something as thanks for the dew," Jack said, closing the gap between them. Elsa held the dew openly in her hand for a minute, before letting it slide to rest on his chest. "You're not the type for jewelry," Elsa brushed his hair from the side, "and I don't think you're the type for clothes either," Elsa's hand, both of them, came to wrap around Jack's neck and she started massaging it like he would do to her. "So tell me what would you like to have?"

Elsa smiled and whispered "Surprise me."

Jack grinned. "Just tell and I'll get it for you anything."

"Nooo, you have to surprise me."

"Alright then, would a package of dried squid surprise you?" Elsa quickly held back her laugh, but it was too late. She knew that Jack had seen her lips twitched. "How about a pet plant cactus? or maybe a feather duster?"

Elsa had to struggle to speak without laughing. "Hoooww about something more thoughtful and from the heart."

"Hmmm: something surprising, thoughtful, and from the heart…Chocolate," Jack said boldly.

Elsa broke her silence with giggles, as well as her lips turning into a wide smile; she also gently hit Jack over his heart. Elsa tried to break away but Jack harden his hold, just enough to keep her close.

"Alright then, just give me an example of what you would consider to be a surprising, thoughtful, and from the heart gift."

Elsa paused for a moment to think. "…Give me Manny," she answered.

Jack was stuck, dumbfounded. "Is that a joke?" Elsa only smile. "You really want me to give you M-Manny?" Elsa continued to smile. "You meant the moon right? You do know Manny is only the Man in the Moon, he's not the actual moon." Elsa ended up laughing again, breaking her silence once more.

Jack made to say more but he quickly stopped himself. Instead he moves in and closed their lips together. They immediately fell into a long deep kiss. When Jack broke it, he pulled away slowly but still left their bodies still touching. Their forehead still in contact; their eyes still closed; their breathing still heavy. Jack touched their lips together once more but for a shorter moment, then twice, and then a third, after the fourth time he opened his eyes and Elsa followed. He kissed her nose. "Tomorrow night," Jack said heavily, "I'll come see you again tomorrow night." Elsa touched his cheek, and kissed him again; she kissed him lastly on his nose.
