Chapter 47-Fear

Clashes of grinding sands replaced the clashing of metals…Gold armor glittered in sleeks of sun; Black armor glittered in specks of pale silver; both were whipped with shards of white falling from the sky where another battle was taking place, clapped with thundering fire, rumbled with bludgeoning lambent.

From the sky Jack raced in madness in search of Pitch, with all the while destroying every Nightmares and Fearlings that his body could fast react within his sight. The Winter Spirit would only catch a glimpse of his opponent in the distance; he would rush through the frenzy in a fury to reach him, however to only have found that Pitch was no longer there, but once more he is far in the distance. Jack kept up his chase and even followed the dark Being up higher and higher into the sky, where the air was secluded from fighting. But Pitch was no longer found after shooting passed through a large cover of clouds.

"Piiiiiitch!" Jack exploded, and he was answered with surrounding echoing laughter. Jack turned in all direction but couldn't find Pith. And instead his head came closing to meeting with a blade when Hans wisped it by swinging his sword. Jack barely had time to raise his staff to block the attack; saved from the cut but he was still hit hard by the Nightmare Hans was riding on. The impact sent Jack tumbling a few feet down but he quickly stabilized to confront Hans.

"Jack Frost," said Hans with a snickering smile. "I hope you will forgive me for not formally introducing myself sooner to you. It's really quite rude of me to leave it undone since the war started."

Jack's eyes narrowed and he mirrored the same smile as Hans'. "I think you may have done much ruder things than just not introducing yourself to me. And from what I've heard, you've been busy entertaining Bellflower's frying pan—to which may I say, I am surprise you got away from it today."

Hans didn't faze from Jack's taunting. However, he appeared rather amused. His smile widens, and his eyes sharpened, making Jack wonder if by now Hans has truly gone beyond any help. "Yes indeed. I actually haven't seen her all day. And Byyy Bellflooower," Hans stress, "You mean…Princess Rapunzel?"

Jack's own smile disappeared, and his whole body tensed. Great, Jack thought. Together, the two started squaring off, though only circling each other.

"Good, you're not surprise that I know, but then again I wasn't expecting you to. After all, I assumed all of you have probably considered the possibility of Pitch telling me this. It was unavoidable really; during our Pact Pitch had to share his memories with me, thus his knowledge of Rapunzel's identity was reviled. But don't worry, Pitch and I have no interest in telling anyone her secret, it wouldn't help in our purpose anyway. Speaking of which, where is she and her cousins? Don't tell me they've gotten scared and are hiding in this battle?"

"Of course not," Jack said simply, "They're just a little late."

"Whatever. But really Jack, I meant what I said about being rude and not introducing myself to you sooner. Out of the four of you, I was looking forward to meeting you the most."

"Creepy," was Jack's reply.

"Pitch's memories have showed me that you have a longer history with him than your friends. You're basically like the annoying mold that keeps growing in the same place no matter how much you wiped it clean off."

"Flattering," Jack said flatly.

"On another note, Pitch's memories have also showed me what transpired between the two of you in your last fight. He offered to have you join him."

"And so what?"

"Sooo, I am offering you to join me—"

"Not this again!" Jack shot a blast of ice but Hans blocked it by creating a wall. No further attack was initiated by either men. "Did Pitch honestly believe I would join him this time?! What in the world—"

"It appears you're hard of hearing Jack Frost. Pitch is not making this offer. I am! And I didn't say I was inviting you to join him. I am inviting you, to join meee," said Hans, hissng the last sentence.

Jack's grip on his staff tightens. And he couldn't help but smile out of hate and anger. "Interesting. I'll humor you more by listening a little longer."

Hans shrugged off the glare he was receiving before continuing. "To be quite frank I honestly don't trust Pitch despite the Pact we made together. And from what I've discovered about Pitch through our Merging and the Pact, there are more than enough reasons for me not to trust him…and I believe him to be rather…somewhat weak. Which is why I will need someone to handle him when and if the time ever comes to it; thus I would like you to join me. Your powers are something that I would like to have beside me as I rule Arendelle and the Southern Isle. You would make both a good watch and guard dog."

"—Wow!" Jack gasp in disbelief. "You are incredibly more stupid than I thought. First you went to Pitch for help in your ridiculous revenge conquest, you performed a merging with him, and now you're thinking of betraying Pitch and even daring to invite me to join you! What in the world made you think I would even join you in the first place if I already turned down Pitch's offer?"

Taking a hand, Hans dragged his fingers through his hair back to smooth it out. Jack noticed that the last time he spotted Hans, his hair was neatly groomed in strands. But now, some of them clomped together to meet at the end like spikes. "Oh but you will join me…if you want to keep your precious Snow Queen alive and safe." Jack raised his staff and ready to threat with a blast, but Hans stopped him by shooting a bolt of black sand pass his head, missing on purpose. "—Don't be in such rush Jack! Did you honestly think Pitch and I wouldn't know about your romantic relationship?!" A group of Nightmares had gallop in the middle between them, blocking Hans from Jack's sight for a few seconds. Once the creatures passed, Hans was gone, though only to appear behind Jack but still at a distance. Jack withhold from attacking. "Shouldn't you of all people know better than to lose your heart during a war? So many rotten things can happen; so many possible ways to die…so many fears can arise during war because of your looove." Hans raised his sword and pointed it squealy at Jack's chest. "Now," he said in a lower voice, which shimmered with vibration through the air. "Just like Rapunzel's identity, Pitch and I will gain nothing in telling people about your affairs. But, if you join me, I promise you no harm will come to your dear Elsa, and maybe even her sister and her pathetic reindeer man husband. I will spare them and let you keep them however you like." Jack didn't reply, nor did he attack. He continued to glare. "Look around you Jack," Hans continued, as he waved his other arm at the sight below them. "My army here has gotten stronger, while yours is once more struggling to stay in pace with us. You can't win all of them. It's only a matter of time until every last soldier here falls prey to the Fearlings. You will only die if you don't join me."

"—Then so be it!" Jack started his attacks.

XxXxXx

Eugene decided to stay behind to watch over Rapunzel who was still unconscious. After she had fainted they moved her back to her room and waited impatiently for the physician to come. As soon as he did, both Elsa and Anna took off for the battle field. They ran into Kristoff just as he was about to take off for the fight himself, and now Anna was riding with him on Seven, while Elsa was following behind riding on a snow reindeer she created.

As thy near the field, clashes of grinding sands could be heard, clapped with thundering fire, and rumbles of lights that they recognize to be Toothless' attacks. They felt the air around them becoming chilled, and saw in the distance sky Jack's snow army doing battle with Pitch and Hans sky unit.

"So the reports weren't wrong," Anna shouted to her sister. "Those things really are fighting under the sun with armors."

"Then what's the plan?" Kristoff asked. "Are we just going to charge straight in?"

"We might have to," Elsa reply, as she waves a hand over her head to conjure her own snow army. Snowflakes first swarm around her hand before they bolted back behind to form into her snow creatures. "We have to find Jack, Hiccup, or Merida and tell them what has happen to Rapunzel."

Not a moment too soon did she say their names, Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff heard Toothless' sharp roar as the dragon sped pass them overhead, to only made a large loop around to fly in the same direction as them. "Where were you guys?!" Hiccup shouted from above, battling against the war sounds and the battering winds to be heard. "And where's Bellflower?!"

Elsa signaled her army to go on ahead of them, in which they followed with blinding speed with some taking to the sky while others remains grounded, with all the while easily avoid hitting Elsa and her companions. As her snow army left, the party slowed down to a gentle halt, and Hiccup had Toothless hover for a moment over the area to be clear before landing. "So where's Bellflower?" Hiccup asked again.

"She's unconscious," Anna replied quickly. "She fainted because of her poor health and can't fight with us in this battle.

"—What?!"

"There isn't much time," Elsa interrupted. Before Hiccup could react any further, Anna took out Rapunzel's Being doll and tossed it to Hiccup. He managed to catch while barely having the ring slip off the doll. "Since Rapunzel can't fight we need to fake Bellflower's participation. You just need to have the doll ride with you at all times, and once the fight is near over make like you're giving chase and disappear somewhere to resize the doll."

"But the doll can't fight," Hiccup reminded.

"In this frenzy no one will notice if 'Bellflower' is fighting or not, we just need her to be seen."

"Alright then," Hiccup said, and he quickly put on the ring and activated the doll to grow; he had the doll saddle up behind him and locked its arms around his waist with a tight grip, that way it will be his last thought of instruction for the doll without him directing too much focus away from the fighting. "I'll also try to find Merida and Jack and let them know what happened."

"Please do." And Hiccup took off after that, charging straight into the battle in the sky.

"So now what do we?" asked Anna. "Should we go and try to find the commanders or Lukas?"

"Lukas," Elsa confirmed. "He still needs to know."

Before Elsa could go forward, Kristoff steered Seven to stand in front of her reindeer. "—No we are not," he stated firmly, "Or at least not you or Anna."

"What?!" Both sisters exclaimed.

"Do you guys not see how badly the battle is going on over there? They're wearing armors for crying out loud! Not only are they making it difficult for the Golden army as it is, but the Snow Army are struggling as well."

"But—" Anna started, though Kristoff didn't let her finish.

"But nothing! Even with Elsa's magic, we'll only get in the way and hurt if we were to join the fight bare of protection. And if we really need to inform Lukas about Rapunzel's condition, then we can save it for when the fight is over."

"Than what do you suggest that we do?" Elsa challenged. "We can't just return to the castle after coming all this way."

Kristoff didn't hesitate to take the challenge. "We can go and check on the citizens at the Safe Camp. There isn't any report of a battle breaking out there, but we can't be too careful. Plus with Hans and Pitch's minions wearing armors now, that is more than a good reason for us to stand as a safety net between them and the citizens. The guards placed at the Safe Camp won't be enough if anything were to happen now."

Elsa didn't show it, but she was greatly impressed by Kristoff's plan. This wasn't the first time he has beaten her with his logic, but he doesn't do it often enough for her to grow accustom to it. However, whenever Kristoff does make compelling reasons, Elsa can't help but admire her brother-in-law from time to time. "…Alright," Elsa agreed with some struggles. "However, only the two of you will be going to check on the Safe Camp. I'll stay here and continue making snow creatures to fight."

"Elsa no!" Anna protested. "If you're staying then so am I; I'm not going to let my only sister stay and fight in this crazy battle."

"—And I'm not going to let my sister-in-law and my wife fight in this death battle," Kristoff added. "Weren't you listening to what I was saying a few seconds ago?—"

"I was. And you are right. Even with my magic I can't guarantee that it will be enough to protect myself with it, and without protection of the Golden Armors I will only be a burden for the army."

"Then come with us to the Safe Camp—" Kristoff insisted.

"I can't. Despite everything you said to be true, it doesn't change the fact that I'm still currently needed here more than at the Safe Camp. The soldiers need support from the snow army so I will keep on creating them at a safe distance. Remember, with Rapunzel gone for this fight, I have to offer as much support as I can in place of her and myself. I can create another army to send with the two of you as you go and keep watch over the Safe Camp. If anything happens and you think the camp is in danger of penetration, come back and get me."

Anna bit the bottom of her lips. "But Elsa—" Before Anna could finish what she was going to say, a pool of black sands poured heavily out from the sky behind them, catching the three of them off guard.

The pool of sand came alive shooting in all direction, surrounding the three. Both Anna and Kristoff drew their dream weapon while Elsa prepared her ice attack. When ready, she shot a wave of ice and snow at the pool, but the black sand immediately gathered in volume—creating an even bigger wave that swallowed her attack into its abyss. The three of them were shocked by the lack of affects that the attack made. The black wave grew even bigger in size, threatening to blanket over them under gravity's pull. But the sands came alive again and thrashed about, and eventually came crashing at them from the side.

"Elsaaaaaa!" Anna cried, as she, Kristoff, and Seven, were swept away from Elsa.

Elsa also cried after Anna. She and her snow reindeer were pushed away from the others; first rocked side to side as she was swept back, and then was suddenly thrusted forward and was knocked off her animal. From there she had no control over her body and she didn't know where the sand was taking her. Elsa was even considering the sands may be swallowing her whole for everywhere she looks, she was in complete darkness. Panic growing inside of her.

She was suddenly thrusted forward again but this time she felt herself slammed against something hard; the impact was cushioned by the black sands itself. She was motionless. Elsa could still hear the sounds of soldiers shouting, and the wails of the Fearlings along with the Nightmares, letting her know she hasn't been taken away from the battle field, though perhaps a little further away.

It took a moment for Elsa to let her mind stop shaking around, and another moment for her to open her eyes. So it was the ground I hit, Elsa thought as she weakly pushed herself up. Her legs wobbled under her, forcing Elsa to lean against a nearby rock for support.

"I hope you do forgive me for the rough treatment," spoke a familiar voice. Elsa turned herself around to face Pitch. "But I couldn't wait any longer for you three to finish talking. You all were unexpectedly late for the fight."

"Funny, but I still think you could have interrupted without the rough treatment." Pitch was floating on a patch of black sand cloud a few feet above her. His back was straight as a stick and he was staring down at her with an unwavering gaze, as if he had something amusing kept behind him, tentatively held.

"I could've have," Pitch agreed and chuckled lightly as he made a slow descent.

"Enough, now what do you want?" Elsa asked while straightening herself up.

"Oh don't give me that unpleasantry tone; your face said it all already. Why, I have come here to give you a generous offer," said Pitch, while rolling the fingers on his right hand in the air and flicking sharply his index at the end. "I am inviting you to join me," he finished with a wide smile.

"You're joking," Elsa said in utter disbelief.

Pitch chuckled again, except louder this time. "Now Elsa, Would I have taken you by force just to make a joke on such a serious matter such as this?!"

Elsa knew logically Pitch really wouldn't lie about such a matter, but she still couldn't believe. "…Why are you even inviting me? Hans is trying to kill me and my sister; that was the purpose of his cause in seeking and joining with you in a Pact."

Pitch's cloud didn't dissipate when he reached the ground. Instead, its sandish substances grew in volume, vailing the surrounding ground almost in a vaporous form like the Fearlings bodies. The small area where Elsa stood was the only patch of earth left bare. "Indeed. But did you honestly believe I would follow the orders from a pathetic man—or anyone for that matter, against my own interest?"

"B-But the Pact; your promise of loyalty, strength and faith—"

"Yes-Yes-Yes all the basic building blocks of a Pact; but don't forget, Hans and I have sworn our Pact upon the dark copy of the Promise Book. The rules are slightly different there, more breakable than you think; there are many loopholes if you know how to exploit them. I never gave Hans my word to kill you and your sister; I only said I will make sure you two will be out of his way for good, to rule as he pleases. I can just keep you both lock up forever if I like. and that will be enough to fulfil my promises in the Pact." Elsa then remembered how Rapunzel was never specific with her promises either, to avoid being weakening while still being able to perform her work with some freedom. "Thus I shall honor all our promises spoken in the Pact," said Pitch, delighting over the very lies he played to Hans, "but once Hans achieve his goal in conquering Arendelle and the Southern Isle, then our Pact will be finish; our Merging will dissolve, and I will be free to spread my fear all over the world."

"But that doesn't explain why you would want me to join you."

Pitch took a few steps forward. Elsa tried to step back away from Pitch, but her back immediately hit the rock she'd leaned on. Pitch stopped with a foot left separating them. "Why Elsa, I thought you would've seen through Jack's memory and understand, the cold and the dark goes perfectly together. Your powers will be very much of use to me—"

"Never!" Elsa made to whip her hand across Pitch's face; she had created a small whirling storm in her hand wanting to send the Being sprawling head first away from her, but Pitch caught her hand. He twisted her arm back at an angle to hurt—though not enough to break her arm, forcing her to gasp of the pain and twist down to her knees to lessen the strain. She lifted her other hand to strike as well, but Pitch had his sand restrained it.

"Of course you wouldn't," Pitch said dully, "I knew you wouldn't. I knew you would never join me even if I offer to spare you and your sister…well, it may be a different matter if I were to also offer to spare ever last one of your people from my fear."

"Then you haven't answered my question at all! Why even bother giving me an invitation to join?!" Elsa spat with some difficulty.

Pitch twisted her arm slightly further, causing Elsa to hiss sharply in response. "Becausssse. Even despite how powerful my powers have become—how far my reach with fear can stretch, I thought it would be convenient to have a watch dog. Someone who can enforce my will in my absence, or at least make an example out of those who oppose me. But in all honesty I don't need your powers, even thought it would be useful."

"Then you wasted your time with this."

Just as she spoke, one of Pitch's Nightmare came charging in, halting abruptly before he hit his master and trotted gently forward. The beast neighed next to Pitch's ear. "On the contrary my Queen Elsa, I believe I've stalled long enough."

"Stalled?"

Pitch loosened his hold slightly, and then hoisted her up with force. Elsa heard and felt the back of her shoulder popping; it felt like a hammer had been rammed into her muscle, and now it was beating with swollen beats. "If there is one real usefulness you serve is being a weakness for Jack Frosts." Elsa looked at Pitch with shock and couldn't bring herself to speak. "Don't be so surprise Elsa, who do think I am? Even if it is the tiniest of fear I will always know. You have fears for him, and he for you. And now, I shall use those fears."

With a snapped of his hand his sand snaked around Elsa's body, squeezing her tight enough to mute her movement. Pitch's sands then started carrying them towards the battle field. "I'll let you in on a little secret Elsa, I've been aware of the fact that Hans have always had doubts towards me, and he had the good enough sense not to trust me. Just a moment ago, he tried scaring Jacky boy to joining his side so then he would have some defenses against me once our Pact ends. He offered to spare your life and that sister of yours if he joins him. But if not, then he would kill you; he even tried telling Jack he'll only die a dog's death if he continues to fight on your side." Pitch howled with laugher. "—How childish! In some of my centuries I have seen humans who are as close to me as my own shadow, even more perfect than Hans to perform a complete Merging with me. But this little prince still managed to merge with every last one of my Layers except my Center, He has some potential of manipulating fear, but he is no master at it, even if he were to have hundreds of years of experiences with it, he will never reach my level."

"What do you plan to do with me?!" shouted Elsa over the battle cries and rushing winds.

"I already told you my dear, I plan to make use of that fear Jack has for you, but if I must be blunt, here it is." Pitch gracefully leaned himself in to whisper into Elsa's ear. "You are going to become Jack Frosts' doom."

XxXxXx

Elsa was brought into a clearing close to the battlefield, though was still kept hidden by the trees. Only a few of the snow creatures noticed her distress and tried to free her, only to end up as powdery snowflakes. And struggled as she might she couldn't break free of Pitch's sands even with her magic. The sands just kept swallowing her magic, and her mouth was muffled as well, unable to call for help. Meanwhile, Pitch kept his back to her and his eyes to the sky, waiting patiently for Jack to come within his line of sight, but so far Elsa could only see the Nightmares and Fearlings doing battle with the snow army. She prays it will stay that way.

"Ahhh there's Jacky boy," said Pitch, pointing to where Jack was in the sky fighting with Hans. "He looks rather angry, don't you agree Elsa?" Pitch asked without turning around to look. He then swirled his hand round and round by his side, building up massive volumes of black sands. "And now look, Hiccup and Rapunzel is going to try to help Jack now…I see you are using one of her substitutes—in which by the way I've been meaning to ask any of you about this, but where have gotten such contraptions? Was it from a Being named Ombric? Or was it from that fat old St. Nickolas…? I suppose it really doesn't matter at this point. But still, I can't have those two interfering." With a snapped of his hand, he summoned the same Nightmare that had delivered him the news earlier. "You know what to do," was all he said to his beast, and the Nightmare took off neighing loudly as he took to the sky. Between all of it Pitch never stopped building his sands. When he was satisfied, he lifted his arm up, uplifting a large amount of his black sand and they started compressing and forming. When it was finished, the figure standing beside Elsa was a complete copy of Pitch, though more shadow looking. Two more were created, then three, five more, and six…

XxXxXx

Jack made to charge at Hans; his plan was to get the prince to either attack him with another blast or create a wall shield, but once Hans react, Jack would drop down below and shoot from there to hit the underbelly of Hans' Nightmare, the horse had no armor there. Midst of his charge a small fire blast hit Hans from the side blowing him off his Nightmare. He went tumbling down with his horse chasing after him. Jack had stopped himself in time before getting too close to Hans. He looked over to his left and saw Hiccup was coming along with Rapunzel.

"Well took you long enough Blonde!" Jack greeted half-jokingly.

"It's the doll version." Hiccup announced as he had Toothless hover close to Jack.

"—What?!"

"I have the doll version with me. The real one was hit with sickness and is now unconscious."

"And how did you know this?"

"Anna and Elsa told me; they're also the ones who told me to have the doll be seen in place of the real Bellflower."

"—Where are they—? Where have you last seen them?"

Before Hiccup could answer, a wave of black sand gushed from below separating the two friends. The sand snaked a few times above them before it began targeting Hiccup and Toothless, chasing the pair away. Jack followed next to the wave trying to destroy it any way he could. He shot his frosts into it like a waterfall of webs to break up its mass, and sent multiple blasts into the thing but with each attempt he made, Jack would only end up scratching off a dent of Nightmares or a confetti of Fearlings without ever seeing a decrees in the size of the wave. Jack decided to confront it from the front to try and break its chase on Hiccup.

As he rushed to reach his friend, a figure suddenly appeared before him. Jack couldn't stop or move away in time and so was hit by the figures' arm, as though he was swatting a fly away. Jack was sent spiraling down a few feet but he didn't fall from the sky like the last time. He looked to see who'd hit him and it was Pitch.

Jack made to attack. "—Ah-ah-ah Jacky boy," stopped Pitch, flicking his index finger side-to-side. If I were you, I would focus my energy on more important matters."

"Hiccup and Toothless will be fine; they can handle themselves much better than you think." said Jack, as he began forming a storm at the head of his staff.

"Oh Jack, it's nice to have faith in your friends, but you shouldn't over estimate their capabilities so much." Pitch than pointed a hand towards where Hiccup and Toothless is flying. The pair are propelling upward almost as fast as lightning could strike in the eye of the sun, but the wave of sand had doubled—tripled in its size, Jack couldn't be sure. The wave by now was big enough to block out the sun if it wanted to by opening and spreading its volume. He made to fly to get to them but Pitch was prepared; he already conjured his scythe and a Nightmare had flew in quickly behind Jack; Pitch swung his weapon and managed to hit him with the bar instead of the blade, and kept Jack pin in place against the Nightmare. "I'm not finish speaking Jack." The Snow Spirit tried to break through and even drop down from his hold, but he was held firmly in place. "When I said there are more important matters to deal with, I wasn't referring to your fish bone of a Viking friend…I was referring to that dainty little thing over there." Pitch cocked his head somewhere in the direction of the forest. Jack turned his head to see where Pitch was looking and saw Elsa. She was looking straight at them.

Jack sharply returned his eyes at Pitch, glaringly. He then let out a long loud shout as he now struggles viciously to break free. Jack even tried freezing the Nightmare behind him, but the beast withstood the cold and still kept him in place. "Now listen to me Jack," Pitch said in a low voice. "In a minute I will give you the choice to either go and help your friend, or save your lovely sweetheart. And you know something; I'll help you make your choice easier." Pitch snapped his fingers and several shadow figures of himself appeared a foot behind him in a line. In total there was twenty of them, all holding one arrow and one bow in hand. "I thought I had better take the numbers into consideration; something may come and accidentally get in the way, and we can't have that. So with this many arrows, one of them are bond to hit her." With another snap of his fingers, his shadows synchronized and raised their bow and loaded it. Together they released.

Instantly Pitch loosed his hold on Jack and the winter spirit pushed the bar of the scythe away, and he sore faster than ever after the arrows. He immediately began shooting at the arrows, decimating a few at once. It was down to fifteen, fourteen, ten, then seven more. He then suddenly heard another one of Pitch's snap; it was louder this time, even echoing in his ears. The remaining arrows along with the sand that was restraining Elsa had dissolved. Jack halted in confusion as to what had happen.

"Juuuust kidding," Jack heard from behind. When he spun around, Jack was met with a sharp pain below his chest, and all of the sudden he lost all energy to move. And before Jack knew it, his world was spinning, and he felt himself falling down and down with no clear to where nor end.

XxXxXx

Elsa saw it all. Jack struggling desperately to break free, and the monstrous wave that was chasing after Hiccup and Toothless, looking closely like a spiraling worm now. The thing's size kept growing and growing until it reminded Elsa of the Red Death in Hiccup's memory. Pitch had lined up all his shadows near him and they all had taken up their bow. Not soon after, they all fired.

Pitch had let Jack go and he rushed after the arrows without hesitation. She watched with horror as Pitch followed closely behind Jack, while lazily holding his scythe with a wicked grand smile on his face. She tried to warn Jack but the sand started to squeeze tighter around her neck. After Jack destroyed thirteen of the twenty arrows, all of the sudden, the remaining arrows dissolve and so did the sands restraining her. She was gagging for a moment of air and looks back up to where Jack was. Just in time to see Pitch stabbing Jack with his scythe. Once again, Elsa found herself unable to breathe.

With one large swing Pitch flung Jack off his blade, sending him falling towards the forest beyond Elsa's sight. As Jack fell, Elsa felt something breaking inside of her. Her body felt rammed, battered, gravity trapping her inside an invisible box and it was just getting smaller. Elsa felt incredibly weak instantly. She ended up falling to the ground after taking a few steps towards where she saw Jack falling to.

Elsa didn't know when…and she wasn't sure how far she had gone after getting up, the nausea that had taken her mind was making it hard for her to stay awake…but the sky had turned grey, and snow was falling. She could hear no sounds of hollering, no sounds of shouting, no sounds of crying; the grinding sounds of sands was muted.

As Elsa continued on she saw a blue light behind the trees before her. She forced herself to move further, fighting against her fatigue and pain. Once she passed the covering trees and stood a few feet away from the light, she saw that it was Jack's staff illuminating with frost covering it. The wood was held nearly upright by a heap of snow at its bottom.

She took a few steps forward to take the staff, but then a gust came blowing in from behind. Elsa couldn't withstand the air's force and fell. The last thing she saw before her vision turned black, was the staff being carried away on the backs of the wind.
