So here's a little Christmas fun that crept into my head. I hope no one minds a little BoLo fluff for the holiday. Enjoy!
Drive Epilogue Continued
Christmas Eve- 7 Years Later
"Unco Bob!"
The older man I had known as Uncle Bob since the day I was born just sat there, fighting back a laugh as my six year old daughter stood with her hands on her hips and her head cocked. Kaylie looked exactly like her mother, with dark hair and deep brown eyes that could search your soul. She was even giving him the same expecting glare Bo did whenever she wanted you to concede to her will. I pulled out my phone and started to record. Bo was going to get a kick out of this.
Bob shook his head and finally said, "I gotta think about it, sweetie." He shot me a wink when he noticed me spying from the corner of his office.
"Why?" she asked. Silence followed as the two stared one another down and just like a pro, Kaylie refused to speak first after asking a question.
Bob finally gave in., happy to play the tough customer with her. "Well...It's a big decision."
"Why?"
"Because I have lots of cars already."
"But you wike it," she reasoned.
"I do."
My daughter shrugged her shoulders, her hands flipping palms up. The quizzical expression on her face blatantly exhibited that she did not understand his reasoning and it was quite comical to see. There had been many a times when I had felt the exact same way with a customer, but to see it on the face of a six year old was something else.
Bob snickered and shook his head. "It's a lot of money."
"You said you could buy anything in the whole woold!" Her arms swept around in a circle, a look of sheer admiration for her Uncle who has spoiled her rotten, much to me and Bo's disapproval.
I covered my mouth, hiding the sound of my laughter so Kaylie's voice could be heard in the video as she continued to press. We were in for big trouble with this one. She was a natural closer. Bo's name flashed across the screen and I stopped recording to take the call. Stepping behind the corner, I quietly answered, "Hey Honey."
"Hi. How's your day?"
"Good. We've had a great turn out considering it's Christmas Eve."
"That's great to hear. Will you be home on time?"
"I plan to be, but..." I became distracted by Kaylie turning a scribbled paper around to face Bob, just the way she had seen me do with customers. My smile couldn't get any wider.
"But it's Christmas Eve. You're the boss," Bo groaned, clearly not happy about the idea of being late yet again, but I wouldn't be. Not this year.
"It's not me, Hun. Kaylie may have other plans."
"Oh really?" Bo chuckled, knowing how persistent our daughter could be. "Do tell."
"Well...she's busy closing Bob on a car right now. I may need to help her out with paperwork."
The sweet sound of Bo's laughter carried through the cell making my heart flutter with joy.
"Is that so? Can't wait to see what she buys with her commission."
"Me neither."
"That's too funny. Wish I could see it."
"I recorded some of it."
"Great. I can't wait to see it."
"She's really good."
"Why wouldn't she be? Both of her mom's are awesome closers."
"Yes they are."
"If her brother develops that skill too, we'll probably go broke."
"I wouldn't worry about that. Ryder only seems interested in driving fast. Did you see him on that big wheel? He'll definitely be a racer."
"He's only four, so anything can happen. I mean, look at you."
"True."
"Mommy! Mommy! I sold Unco Bob a caw. A pwetty wed one!"
"I'm so proud of you, Sweetie!. Here, tell Mama." I set the cell to speaker.
"Mama! I sold a caw!"
"Wow, that's great. What kind?"
"Ummm..." she looked up at me and asked, "What kind, Mommy?"
"A Porsche Cayenne."
"A Posh Ca-" Kaylie stumbled with the words before giving up. "What kind?"
"Cayenne. It's okay sweetie, Mama knows what it is." Bo and I laughed. Our daughter was so full of enthusiasm. I needed more sales people like her.
"Kaylie, you ready to come home? Santa will be here in a few hours."
"Yay Santa! Bye Mama." She practically dropped the phone in my hands and ran off, yelling her goodbye to Bob as she hurried to my office to grab her toys.
"Okay," I laughed. "I guess we'll be home in a few then. Need anything else while we're out?"
"Nope. Just you two. My family is all I ever need."
"I love you, Bo."
"Love you too. Now get your sweet ass back home!"
Shit! I should have taken it off speaker. My ears burned red hot with blush and I cringed as Bob howled with laughter. Quickly, I scurried to my office hoping no one would see the tomato shade of red my face had become.

Kaylie and I arrived home to Bo sitting on the front step smiling contently while Ryder played with a remote control dune buggy. The moment she spotted us, her eyes sparkled with joy and she jumped up and strode toward our car.
"Mama!" Kaylie squealed with delight as she struggle to unbuckle herself.
"Hang on, Sweetie." She wasn't the only one excited to see Mama and if she'd hold still, we'd get there a whole lot quicker. Finally, she quit pulling and the buckle released, leaving me ducking to avoid excited hands and feet as she scampered from the car.
Bo blew me a kiss and then swooped down and lifted her high in the air, Kaylie giggling like crazy. The entire scene still seemed so surreal, even though I witnessed it daily. I loved my wife more than I ever imagined loving anyone and these children that I never had an inkling of having... now I couldn't imagine life without them. They were my everything.

Christmas Morning
Eight a.m. sharp, both children came busting through the door going on and on about all the presents under the tree and hurrying us along to open them. Over the years, Bo and I had found our best strategy was to set our alarm for seven thirty and then enjoy a half hour snuggle before the craziness of the day ahead. It's been a solid plan. That way, we weren't cranky about the abrupt awakening or missing our quiet time, which was hard to come by with two kids.
We freshened up, put on our robes and grabbed our slippers. We had instituted one major rule for our Christmas morning ritual-nothing formal. After the first couple of years of getting up early and dressing the kids in stuffy clothing that they hated, we came to the conclusion that all that work was ruining Christmas. So, casual it is and that includes our guests. No suits, ties or tucked shirts. At first, our parents complained, especially Bo's, but now, they all seem to enjoy loading up in their robes and slippers and heading over to open gifts as a family.
Bo and I indulged in one last, highly-inappropriate-for-children, kiss before heading downstairs to get things started. The seven foot tree with twinkling lights and a gazillion ornaments that Bo could never seem to stop buying, towered over Kaylie and Ryder, who were dazed and drooling over the abundance of presents like starving dogs over a steak. But they were behaving, which was a nice way to start the day. Bo and I gave one another a knowing smile and brushed past them on the way to the kitchen.
"You know the rules," Bo said. "Not till eight thirty when everyone else gets here."
Loud grunts and groans of displeasure carried from the living room, making us laugh. It would only be about a twenty minute wait. They needed to learn patience. Bo got the coffee going and I pulled the fritatta I had made last night from the fridge and placed it into the oven to warm, then separated the biscuit dough and put them into the toaster oven. By the time everyone arrived, breakfast would be ready.
"You guys want milk or OJ?" I called out.
"Chocowate milk," was the reply from two very anxious children.
"Okay. Come and get it." While Bo set out the plates, utensils and fruit, I got the kids set up and occupied until our guests arrived.
Right on schedule, the slamming of car doors could be heard outside and the kids rushed to the window. Leaving Bo to finish up, I greeted both of our parents and helped relieve them with their arm fulls of presents so they could swoop up their grand kids. It was great that Bo's parents have been making the trip for the holiday so we could all be together. This year we also planned to spend New Year's with them up in Seattle and let the kids play in the snow for the first time.
I set the giant bags beside the tree wondering what could possibly be in all those packages that the kids didn't already have. Whatever it was, it was gonna be one helluva mess in this house when it was all said and done. As I stood back up, a gentle yet possessive arm snaked around my waist and pulled me in close. Bo pressed a soft kiss below my ear, then smiled against my skin, giving me familiar warm fuzzies throughout. She knew that was a favorite spot of mine and she took advantage whenever possible. She especially loved doing so when she could sneak up on me.
"Look at our family," she whispered full of pride and love. The same pride and love that filled every crevice of my being every time I took a good look at what we had made together.
On one couch, Ryder, decked out in his favorite Lightning McQueen pj's, bounced on Alyn's lap, laughing hysterically as Bo's mom tickled him. On the other, mom and dad doted on Kaylie and how cute she looked in her Chewbacca onsie, while our little girl bragged about selling Bob a car. "I know. I love it. Thank you, Bo."
She slipped around front, looking me in the eye with intense curiosity. Her brow arched when she asked, "For what?"
With one arm snaking around her waist, I pulled her flush to me and brushed a lock of unruly morning hair behind her ear. God she was beautiful. "For this," I whispered. "For you. For us. For dragging this work-a-holic out of the dealership and giving her a family. You're beautiful and amazing and will always be the only gift I ever want under my tree."
Her blush made me giddy as she ducked her head and laughed softly. And then it appeared, that Bo smile with dimples so deep they threatened to drown me in the best possible way. "You're welcome, my love. But what you did was no small feat either. You knew my reputation and never gave up on loving me, so thank you. I'm so glad I walked into your dealership."
"Me too."
As luck would have it, our moment was shattered before the kiss I so very much wanted could come to fruition. Ryder and Kaylie had wrapped their little arms around our legs and were urging us to get breakfast started so they could get to their presents.
"Come on mommy!"
"Yeah, mama!'
Our parents laughed and gave us those all-knowing smiles that spoke of the number of times they had had to endure the same interruption.
"Guess we should move this along then?" Bo threw me a wink and I nodded. Our time was just a few hours away.
To no one's surprise, Ryder's favorite present was the replica Shelby Cobra driveable toy car that our father's had conspired to have made. I, for one, was thankful they only allowed it to go two miles per hour, but they had informed me there was an option to increase the power as he got older. He really was just like me and I couldn't wait until he was old enough for a ride in my rally car.
Kaylie, on the other hand, seemed to love everything and would flutter about between clothes, Breyer horses (I see a horse in our future) and the driveable Jeep Wrangler toy she had been eyeing all year. Yes, our pretty little angel loved dirt, mud and grease. She could wear a dress and then build a remote control car kit. There was no doubting Kaylie would be into anything and everything, just like Bo.
Hours later, much food had been consumed and the living room looked as if a cat five hurricane had hit, leaving debris of shredded paper, torn boxes and toys in its wake. The second the excitement ebbed, my parents promptly gave Bo and I our Christmas gift. The same one they had given us the last three years-peace and quiet. They said we had everything anyone could want already, except a moment alone. It was the one thing they wished they'd had when they were young parents. Not that they didn't enjoy spending time with me, but I will admit, I was quite the handful sometimes.
The moment their car backed out of the driveway, Bo pulled me into her arms, dropped her chin to my shoulder and sighed. "I love them to death, but they're exhausting," she said with a tired laugh.
"They are. We have two very energetic children."
"That's putting it lightly," she scoffed playfully with a roll of her eyes. "Insanely curious. Adventurous. Daredevils. Those are better words to describe our children. Ryder didn't bat an eyelash at attempting the ramp Kaylie tried to make for his car."
"Yeah. Good thing it was cardboard, but we'll definitely have to keep an eye on them. If he's anything like me, it won't be long until ramps are made from real wood riding bikes and go carts over them in the street."
"Oh, he's exactly like you. I will put that on my list of things to look out for. Kaylie will most certainly be egging him on too."
"It's going to be a grand adventure." One I was cautiously excited about. There will most probably be hospital visits involved, but hopefully, only minor injuries.
"Yep and I don't want to miss a minute."
"Me neither. Speaking of adventure...what do you say we hurry up and clear out this wrapping paper wilderness so we can enjoy our time off?" It couldn't come fast enough. I'd been anxiously awaiting the moment we would be alone. Even after all these years, I could nevr get enough of Bo and I knew she felt the same for me. I could see it in those beautiful, expressive dark brown eyes.
"I'm all about that idea. I can't wait to show you what I got you this year." Bo threw me a wink and flashed her sexiest smile before pulling out of my grasp. She glanced back over her shoulder, biting her lip as she slowly bent over and wadded up some paper.
So damn sexy. I was the luckiest woman on earth and I couldn't wait to surprise her with a gift of my own later. I laughed as he shook her ass at me. Grabbing a few boxes on my way past, I smacked her on the rump and threw a devilish grin of my own as we went about cleaning and flirting for the next half and hour. We wasted no time finishing our chores and then Bo, as per her new tradition, snuck off to shower and change for our own "gift giving" time. This year, however, I had a plan. As soon as I heard the water running, I sprinted to the guest bath and grabbed a speedy shower. Knowing Bo was a creature of habit, I had about twenty minutes to prepare, so I had my whole routine planned out.
At fifteen minutes I had dressed, thrown on some light, smoky, makeup and positioned myself beneath the tree on my left side with my head propped in my hand as I awaited her arrival. I didn't want to miss the look on her face when she laid eyes on my sexy elf lingerie. I didn't have to wait long. In a matter of minutes, it was everything I could have hoped for as Bo stood awestruck in the entry way, the words of her customary "Here's Santa" failing mid-sentence as her eyes landed on me.
"Hello, Santa. I've been waiting for you," I practically growled, running my free hand along my nearly naked thigh. The green boustie with matching see through panties and white thigh highs that ended at my white stilettos had my wife stumbling for a reply.
"Wow!" Was all Bo could muster.
The fact that I had rendered her speechless and knocked her off her game was quite the ego boost. Deciding I could wait no longer for her to break free of her stupor, I stood and sashayed toward her, swaying my hips with each step and biting my lip. "What's the matter, Santa? Aren't you going to give me my present?" I asked in a silky smooth tone, the one that always got her hot and bothered.
Her blank expression finally gave way to a seductive grin and darkening eyes that never failed to get my heart revving as she replied, "I don't know. Looks like you've been naughty."
"Let me show you just how naughty I can be." Draping my arms around her neck, I pulled her down for a deep, languid kiss that left us both breathless and itching for the festivities to begin. Some of my favorite things in life was how Bo's pulse raced whenever I held her close, the way her skin would prickle under my touch and those chocolate browns going from milk to dark with the simplest flirtation. Yes, it was definitely nice to be wanted, but with her it was so much more. I would never get tired of this, the love that I've found with Bo.
Licking her lips as her eyes fluttered open, Bo smiled, her eyes sparkling with a mix of desire and love as she stared deep into my own. "Well then, Merry Christmas to me," she purred as she lowered us beneath the tree.
