Sorry for the mega late update… and sorry that rhymes. Anyway, I've had a really rubbish week, so please review if you don't hate me too much. It would mean the world! Happy reading!

"Ready?" Barney nodded and smirked.

Together they walked into the bar and plop. Robin pulled Tumbler out from under her coat and onto the table.

"Agh!" Ted yelped, "What is that?"

"Drumroll please," the gang pounded on the edges of the table, "Tumbler! We found her outside last night, and, well, here she is."

"A cat? Aren't you more dog-people? I mean, this is just… strange," Marshall said skeptically.

"I think it's sweet. Look at them, acting grown up and all, raising a little kitty together. She's their lovechild!" Lily cooed, tickling Tumbler's fur.

"Is not!" Robin whined.

"Your nose just grew! Admit it, you two love having a cat together."

"And tell me Lily, why would we love that?" Barney mocked.

"Oh please! I know you two! Don't pretend like you're not loving being so involved. Don't try to deny it, don't correct me, and don't lie to yourselves. You love it!"

"I- we- um- shut up!" he stammered while Lily laughed at him.

"Alright, but putting that all aside, I am really proud of you two. Lately you've been so… I don't know."

"Sweet? Responsible? Just overly all more couple-y." Marshall offered.

"Exactly. Couple-y. Ever since that huge storm a couple weeks ago, you've been more couple-y."

Barney and Robin gave each other a knowing smirk. The night of the I-love-you s.

"That's because he loves me," Robin teased, poking him in the ribs.

"Hey! You love me too," Barney pouted. She leaned over and kissed him, laughing.

"Yeah, I do."

Ted coughed, bringing them back to earth and reminding them that the rest of the gang was still here.

Lily's face burst into a grin. "You guys love each other?" she mimicked, getting a little emotional.

Robin gently touched Lily's shoulder. "Of course we do," she said gently.

"Come give mama a hug!" She enveloped Barney and Robin into one big, bone-crushing hug.

"Is that baby coming out anytime soon? Don't know if I can take any more of this pregnancy brain," Barney teased.

"It shouldn't be much longer. Actually today something kind of interesting happened. The baby kicked. Can you believe that? It just makes it feel that much more real, ya know?"

"Yeah Lil," Robin smiled at her friend. "Can- can I feel?"

"Of course. Here just put your hand… there. Good. Feel that?"

"Wow…"

"My turn!" Ted cheered, handing Tum back over to Robin, who was still in awe.

"Maybe," Robin turned to Barney, whispering so only he could here, "Having a lovechild isn't bad at all."
