Okay, so number one, you guys are the best! I really didn't expect all your lovely reviews, and when I saw them I just started at the screen like dopey from Snow White! No kidding! And number two, thanks even more for your concern about my week. You've fueled me to write again, even if it is a small chapter (sorry!). To reiterate, you guys are amazing, keep it up… please 3

"But what were you doing there? And what were you getting?" Robin questioned, half annoyed and half hurt at her boyfriend's constant secrecy.

"Nothing…"

"Barney! I thought you were gonna stop keeping secrets! How can we ever make this work if you can't trust me!?" Tumbler ran under the table, afraid of the sudden screaming match that was taking place.

"I do trust you," Barney lowered his voice, barely whispering now. Robin however did not follow suit and continued to scream louder than Barney had ever heard her before. What had he done to her?

"Then tell me! Prove to me right now that you do care about this relationship!"

"I- I can't," he whimpered. Robin made her way dejectedly to the door. "Wait, Robin, don't go."

"Bye Barney."

Barney slouched down against the wall, sighing. It's not like he could have told her; that'd have ruined everything. But, now she was gone and it was all his fault. Don't cry Stinson, don't.

It all started with a simple meeting. That's it, a meeting. He was only seeing with his ring guy. His engagement ring guy.

Barney sighed again, it was all too complicated and it shouldn't be. After saying the I-love-you s it's supposed to get easier, to make sense. If only that were the case.

How would he ever propose now?
