Burning Stars
[A hot gaseous mass, such as the sun, that radiates energy, esp as light and infrared radiation, usually derived from thermonuclear reactions in the interior, and in some cases as ultraviolet, radio waves, and X-rays.]
Lucy, even as a child was in love with the stars. It might have had to do with the fact her mom was an astronomer and took great pride in sharing all the stories of the stars with her daughter. Lucy remembered the day her mother told her that stars were actually just big balls of hot gas. The stories her mother told her were what lulled her to sleep or made her feel better when she was down. Though, it was all over in a flash when her mother died. The stories disappeared, and when she looked at the sky instead of happiness, only tears came.
That was until she met him. The pink haired pyro, that seemed to at least cause two fires during in science class and one during gym, don't ask…. He was the flame that once again lit up her world. Then she made more and more friends. He got her to join a school club called fairy tail. He coaxed her into getting a tattoo with him. His red, and her tattoo pink, it reminded her of his hair. She remembered waking up to find another body in the bed, and then pretending to be asleep, because she actually liked it. Then again he was stupid, dense, and generally annoying, but once he smiled all his downfalls melted away and he began to glow.
Lucy's daydream was disrupted when she smelled something burning. She turned to find her sleeve on fire. After letting out a scream and yelling a bit at Natsu she finally calmed down. Natsu was just a big ball of hot gas… kinda like the stars Lucy used to love so much.
