Later that day, Campbell went to find Francine, figuring that her depression was the closest thing to Bethy's Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. As he ambled down the hallway, skipping every three or four steps, he realized he could feel himself entering one of his manic periods. He wondered if he would be able to hide it from the doctors; he would be much more productive if he didn't have a ton of drugs coursing through his system.

Campbell met Rosalie as he passed by a door she was polishing and asked if she wanted to join him.

"Where're we goin'?" she inquired a bit warily, tugging yellow rubber gloves off her hands.

"I'm goin' to talk to Francine," he told her, and explained his earlier encounter with Bethy's therapist.

"Do ya' really think I could help?"

"Aye," he affirmed, "you'll be just what we need t'off-set my impulsive streak!"

Campbell and Rosalie found Francine in her room, staring wistfully out the window and smoking, but Campbell was pleased to see her put it out in an ashtray as she turned around to greet them.

"What've you got up yer sleeve this time, Campbell?" the young woman asked, seeing the unmistakable look on her friend's face.

"Plans, Francine! Big plans!" he exclaimed, throwing himself onto the bed, making Rosalie wince at the sudden disorder. "Problem is, I'm not sure what they are yet."

"What he means t'say," Rosalie interjected, shooing Campbell off the bed and straightening the covers, "is that we've come t'ask you for yer help, Francine."

Once again, Campbell launched into his tale.

"But I'm not sure what we can do, Campbell," Francine said seriously when the young man had finished in a rush of excitement.

"But you mentioned earlier that you wanted to help her!"

"Aye, but I don' know anythin' about treatin' this 'traumatic' whatever-it-is."

"Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; I heard someone at the nurses' station mention it."

"Even if we know what it's called, there's no way anyone here'll tell us what they usually do to treat it."

"She's right, Campbell," Rosalie cut in. "They'll jus' say it's 'none of our business' or somethin' stupid like that."

"You're right," Campbell replied, his smile growing along with his enthusiasm, "no one here will tell us anything…"

I'm back! Sorry it took so long! I'm starting to re-watch this series, so hopefully that will inspire me to try to keep working on this. Also thanks to captaingrahamcr on tumblr for the help!
