Chapter 15: Revenge

Crawling.

Past vacant windows, whose occupants had long since fallen asleep.

Crawling faster.

The darkness paused at a fork in the road. It split and crawled onwards onto separate paths, speeding up to a furious pace.

The darkness raced on, all consuming, all knowing.

The darkness scaled buildings and entered through windows closed tight against the chilly night, fervently searching for its intended victims.

Find.

Must find.

Must find HER!

Must find the wretched Spider.

Revenge.

Revenge.

Revenge!

A fire escape. An open window. The darkness pulsed with excitement as it pooled onto the street below the fire escape and open window.

Revenge will be mine.
