Percy grabbed Annabeth's waist as she tried to climb over the back of the couch. She fell on top of him with a soft thud and tried to roll off the other way.

"Let me go!" she cried, kicking hard to release his grip on her. But Percy was strong. He had dealt with a flailing little girl for five years and it taught him how to hold on. He pulled her back on top of him, squeezing his arms tight to prevent another break out.

"Let go!" she cried again, trying to pry his hands off of her. She almost succeeded, but he regained his grip. Quickly, Percy rolled over so he was on top, his hips pressed against hers. She made to push him away but he caught her wrist and pinned it to the arm of the couch above her head. She made a hissing sound and tried to push him off with her other hand, but he caught that, too, and it joined her previous hand.

Annabeth was flushed, her golden hair messy from falling out of her ponytail and her eyes bright and challenging. Percy thought she looked so beautiful. He slotted his fingers through hers and leaned down to kiss her. Her fingers squeezed his and she bucked her hips against him, trying to unseat him.

"No fair!" Annabeth cried when Percy pulled away. "You must be used to tying down girls or something because that wasn't fair!"

"Yes, Annabeth, I hold down girls against their will all the time. How did you know?" he asked sarcastically, rolling his eyes. She lifted her head for another kiss, and this time she parted her lips, really getting Percy into it. Then, while he was momentarily distracted, she pulled her hands free, pushed her knee against his hip, and rolled the both of them right off the couch.

Percy landed on his back, and pulled away from the kiss, wincing. Annabeth caught his wrists and grinned, straddling him.

"You shouldn't be distracted so easily, Percy," Annabeth chided, smirking triumphantly.

"That is dirty, dirty play, Miss Chase."

Annabeth pulled Percy's wrist up and checked the time on his watch.

"Now you know not to challenge me to a wrestling match. It must be your lucky day; I have work."

"Are you going to take Lilly? She's been just dying to go to work with you."

Annabeth leaned back and rested her hands against Percy's chest as his hands settled on her waist. "Of course. Should I go wake her up?"

"Yes."

Annabeth made to get up, but Percy pulled her back down and kissed her again, cupping her face. He kissed her as much as he could just from pure joy. He could kiss her whenever he wanted now, and he couldn't get over that. He tested it out a lot, like right when she wakes up and when she's helping him with the dishes; when she's just about to fall asleep and before she gets into the shower. She kissed him back every time.

She patted his chest when he dropped back to the floor, smiling up at her.

"Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to work we go," Annabeth sang softly as she quietly walked over to Lilly's room. Percy grinned and rolled his eyes.

"I'll see you in an hour," he called to her.

"Annabeth, do you live with us now?" Lilly asked as she trailed behind Annabeth. She was wearing a sunflower patterned dress today with her tiny converses because she asked Annabeth to pick out her outfit for her. Her black, messily curly hair was pulled back in to plaits.

"Not really," Annabeth answered, making sure she wouldn't plow over the little girl while getting a customer's drink.

"But you sleep over all the time," Lilly argued.

"Well," Annabeth started, grabbing a straw and trying to think of a way to answer Lilly's question. "My house is really boring; all the fun is at yours," she answered.

"You kiss my daddy at lot," Lilly continued, obviously letting out a lot of questions she had been holding back. "Do you love him?"

"Um" was Annabeth's only reply.

"Hey there, Princess!"

Annabeth's chest deflated in relief as Kalle passed her hand over the top of Lilly's head.

"Hi, Kalle!" Lilly emitted, grinning.

"What are you up to?" Kalle asked.

"Annabeth kisses my daddy a lot, and Daddy told me that when you kiss someone you love someone. I just wanted to know if she loved him."

Lilly was so innocent it was hard for Annabeth to be annoyed at her question. Annabeth had no idea if she loved Percy; she didn't even know if they were dating. She stayed the night a lot, yes, but was that considered dating? She'd never asked. The only boyfriend she had in her life had made all of the moves, so she never asked any questions.

"Yeah, Annabeth, do you?" Kalle asked.

"Oh, look, your daddy's here!" Annabeth said as Percy pushed through the front door carrying a box of donuts.

"Daddy!" Lilly said happily. She ran towards him and he easily lifted her up and kissed her cheek.

"Morning," he said to Annabeth and Kalle, and despite Annabeth's attempt to dodge him in front of Kalle, Percy kissed her on the mouth.

Kalle laughed, making Annabeth blush horribly, and Percy grin. Annabeth ducked under Percy's arm, knocking her elbow into his stomach which only made Kalle laugh harder.

"You act like it's some big secret," Kalle said. "It's okay, Annabeth, really. I was just teasing."

Together, they made Annabeth smile until she turned around and waved them off.

"Okay, okay, get back to work, you slackers," Annabeth said.

"Hey, I'm the boss here. And I bought you donuts," Percy replied, pouting.

"Percy, Connor went home sick; we need you in the kitchen," Travis said as he came out of the kitchen. Travis was a tall boy with curly brown hair and a smirk that made you want to hold on to all of your personal belongings. He winked at Annabeth as he passed.

Percy groaned dramatically. "I hate kitchen duty. I guess I'll see you at home."

He kissed her once more before he disappeared in the back.

"You guys are actually pretty cute together," Kalle said, startling Annabeth.

"Oh my God, just work!"

"Or what? You'll tell Percy? Maybe when you get home and are cuddling together."

Annabeth's face felt like she plunged it in scalding water, but she laughed anyway, knowing Kalle was only teasing.

"Probably."
