"Cabeza?" Franky asked, looking at the piece of paper.
Usopp nodded. "Yeah . . . weird name, but that's the guy we're looking for."
Round the Sunny's kitchen table sat all the Strawhats—Sanji had rejoined the others at last. They were now passing around the sheet of paper given to them by the red-haired man.
"Sousolline . . ." Franky continued. ". . . That's the name of the town. Well, this guy shouldn't be too hard to find with a name like that, it's hardly common, is it?"
"Eh, I guess not," Nami said, shrugging. "But is any name really common? I mean, can you think of two people you've met who have the same name? Because no one comes to mind for me."
"Damn, you're right," Sanji muttered. "I mean, assuming we're not counting family names . . . but never mind that. What do you guys think? Should we head out tonight or wait until tomorrow night? Me, I'm fine either way."
Luffy eagerly said "Tonight, tonight, tonight! I wanna have an adventure tonight, I don't wanna wait!"
"I dunno," Usopp mumbled. "I'm fine with waiting until tomorrow night . . ." Chopper nodded his agreement.
"Fine either way," Zoro muttered.
Eventually, Robin tallied up the votes, which led to the majority vying for that night. Chopper and Usopp protested loudly and were ignored.
An hour later, they docked at the opposite side of the island. As they got off the ship (either by rope ladder or jumping), Zoro looked up at the sky and scowled. "Great, it's cloudy. I can't see a damn thing."
"I can see just fine," Sanji said, smirking.
Zoro growled at him, but decided to let it go.
"I just realized," Nami said behind them, "is this guy even awake at this time of night? And for that matter, where does he live? We don't even know if this is the right town."
"No, it's the right town," Luffy said confidently.
"Really? How do you know?" Chopper asked curiously.
Luffy shrugged. "Because."
"Because what?"
"Just because."
Nami sighed. "Oh, for—never mind. So how are we going to find this guy?"
"I'd like to examine the interiors of the houses," Robin said regretfully, "but I believe that it would be too dark to see properly."
. . .
"So we're gonna have to wait until tomorrow after all?" Usopp asked hopefully.
Franky sighed. "Yeah, looks that way. Bro Sanji, you mind?"
"Sure," Sanji said with a shrug. "I'm sure we'll figure something out. You all gonna go to bed?"
"Yeah," Usopp said, stretching. "I'm tired."
Robin nodded her agreement. "Sanji, what are you going to do?"
Sanji shrugged. "Probably just walk around the town. If anyone's still awake at this time, I'll check with them about the town's name."
"And then you're gonna drink their blood too!?" Luffy asked eagerly.
"I don't know, maybe," Sanji snapped. "Depends on how thirsty I am, I guess."
"Can I come with you!? I wanna watch if it happens!"
"No, you—okay, fine, come along, but I'm leaving you if you collapse from exhaustion."
Luffy cheered. "Usopp, do you wanna come too?"
"No, you two go," Usopp muttered. "I'm going to bed." He climbed the rope ladder with Chopper close behind.
"Have fun," Zoro said, jumping up onto the ship. The rest bid them good night and ascended the ship also.
"Let's go, let's go, Mr. Bitey!" Luffy said, bouncing on his heels.
"Quit calling me that!"
"I'm guessing we have maybe an hour left before dawn," Sanji said as he and Luffy walked down a particular street for about the tenth time.
"It's good that guy earlier told us this place really is Sousolline," Luffy said.
"Yeah," Sanji said. "Too bad no one's out now, I'm getting thirsty again . . ."
Luffy thought for a moment. Then he grinned and pointed to himself.
"For god's sake, Luffy—"
"Pleeease, Mr. Bitey? It would be so cool!"
"Oh, fine," Sanji snapped. "Would be a waste not to, I suppose."
He led Luffy into an alley. They sat down on boxes, and Sanji turned and faced his much too eager captain.
"Okay, Luffy," he said, "listen to me for once. This might hurt a bit. I'm going to make you hold still because I know you're going to fidget otherwise. If you start feeling faint, or weak, or dizzy, say something and I'll stop. Got it?"
"Yeah, yeah, I understand," Luffy said. "Let's do it!"
"I don't think you understand at all," Sanji muttered. "Hold still."
Luffy froze. Sanji moved forward, tilted his captain's head to the side, and bit down; he noticed that he had to bite slightly harder than usual, most likely due to Luffy's rubber body.
A few minutes later, Sanji had drunk his fill. He closed the cuts and moved back, allowing Luffy to move again. Luffy blinked, shook his head, and grinned.
"Whoa, that was so weird and really cool! Wait'll I tell Usopp and Chopper about this!"
He jumped up from where he was sitting and stumbled. "Whoa—"
Sanji helped support him. "Luffy, you really should get some sleep. You've been up all night and you've just lost blood."
Luffy blinked and swayed. "Yeah, maybe . . ."
"Can you stand on your own?" Sanji asked.
"Sure I can!" Luffy removed himself from Sanji's grip and attempted to run out of the alleyway, only to promptly fall over.
"Luffy!" Sanji knelt next to him, only to find that Luffy was snoring peacefully, apparently having collapsed out of exhaustion.
Sanji sighed, grabbed Luffy, swung one of the rubber man's arms over his own shoulders, and started dragging him back to the ship.
