Nami sat up and stretched, first looking around at her sleeping crewmates, then jumping when she saw Sanji sitting against the wall on the other side of the room.

"Good morning, Nami-swan," he said cheerfully. "Did you sleep well, love?"

"Uh, yes," she said, staring at him. "How long have you been there?"

"Did I scare you?" he asked, alarmed.

"Well . . ."

Sanji wailed and bowed down. "Forgive me, Nami-swan! It was all my fault!"

"Oh, get up," she said, yawning. "And be quiet, you'll wake the others."

Sanji nodded and lifted his head. Nami gestured to Usopp, who was still snoring on the ground. "Did you . . . ?"

Sanji looked away. "There wasn't anyone else up at that time, so . . . yes."

Nami shivered slightly. "It's still creepy, thinking about it. Thank goodness you'll be back to normal soon."

Sanji smiled. "I sure hope so, darling!"

There was a noise and Robin sat up in her bed. She yawned, glanced at Nami and Sanji, and said "Good morning, you two. Nami-chan, did you sleep well?"

Nami grinned. "Yep! I'm surprised those idiots didn't stay up late."

Robin nodded and turned to Sanji. "And how was last night?"

"Just fine, Robin-chwan!" Sanji exclaimed, giving her a thumbs-up.

There was a soft knock on the door and Cabeza quietly entered. "Hello," he said softly. "I just thought you all should know that I'm going to the bookstore down the street to look for more possibilities."

"May I come?" Robin asked, swinging her legs around the bed. "Two may work faster than one."

Cabeza hesitated. "Alright," he said at last. He gestured for her to follow and stepped back out the door.

Robin followed him out, pausing only to say farewell to Nami and Sanji.

"Robin-chwan's so lovely," Sanji sighed, staring at the door where she had vanished. "And of course, Nami-swan, your beauty rivals hers on equal measure!"

"I know," Nami said with a shrug.

"I think I'll go to sleep now, actually," Sanji said with a yawn. "The sun must be starting to come up." He crossed the room, lay in the coffin, crossed his arms, and fell asleep.

Nami got up and quietly pulled the lid over him.

Eventually the others woke up. Luffy was the first to wake, so he spent the first five minutes loudly waking everyone else.

"Morning already?" Zoro muttered, sitting up.

Franky sat up and yawned. "Good morning, everyone! It's a SUPER day to be me!"

Soon only Usopp was still sleeping. Luffy shook him and started hitting him with a pillow. "Usopp, c'mon, get up!"

Usopp, half-asleep, swatted at the pillow and turned onto his side. "Five more minutes . . ." he mumbled.

Luffy started hitting him harder. Usopp sat up. "Okay, geez, I'm up!"

"Are you feeling okay, Usopp?" Nami asked.

He glanced at her. "Why?"

She pointed at the covered coffin.

"Oh," he muttered. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"Where's Robin?" Chopper asked, noting her absence.

Nami told him.

"Let's hope they find something," Zoro muttered. "I'm hungry. What's to eat?"

Luffy strode over to the coffin, pulled off the lid, and shook Sanji until the vampire woke. "Sanji!" Luffy exclaimed. "Food! Now! We're hungry!"

Sanji grumbled and pushed himself up. "I just got to sleep, too," he growled. "Oh, whatever." Heading out the room, he called over his shoulder "Breakfast in 20."

Cabeza and Robin entered the bookstore. "Excuse me, Mr. Cerveau," Cabeza said, "do you have any books on magic?"

The clerk glanced at them. "Yeah," he said. "Left wall upstairs."

Cabeza thanked him and the two headed up. They found the place and started flipping through the books.

It took Robin only ten minutes to find something. "Excuse me, Cabeza-san," she said. "What do you think about this one?"

Cabeza leaned over and skimmed the text. His face lit up. "Oh, that seems perfect! And it doesn't look too difficult, either! But . . ." he frowned as he read another part of the text. "Oh, dear."

"That part worries me, too," Robin agreed. "Is there any workaround?"

"I don't trust myself with improvising in magic," Cabeza confided. "Food, maybe, but magic? No. Some people have the talent, but I've tried before and it always ends in disastrous results. Wait!" he snapped his fingers. "I have a panic room! We could use that! It's right across from the bedroom that you and your friends are using!"

"You'd be surprised at how strong Sanji is," Robin said. "What is the panic room made of?"

"Solid steel," Cabeza boasted. "I actually have one in case of a vampire attack, so I suppose that it's almost the same thing here."

Robin smiled. "That sounds perfect. And it can be adjusted to be unlocked from the outside?"

Cabeza nodded. "Depending on whether I want to lock myself up in there or lock the intruder up, either one can be used. Of course—" he glanced at the text again. "It sounds like I'll have to clean up in there afterwards, but it's a small price to pay when ridding the world of another vampire!"

Robin shrugged. "If you say so. Shall we go?"

Wow, it looks like we have only a few chapters left! This story is ending a lot faster than I had anticipated!
