Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Howdy Y'all! We've finally hit the double digits with Junai Angels! Thank you for everyone who has stuck with me so far! I would say, 'not long now' but to be honest, we're probably only halfway… Oh well, on with the chapter! Frizzle!

Frizzle: Of course! Disclaimer: Slytherin – Fanatic 911 does not own D N Angel or JunJou Romantica but she does own her own character Sayuri (Satoshi-kun's twin sister). Now…ON WITH THE STORY!

"Daisuke-kun is staying somewhere else?" Risa asked, sitting on her bed and staring at Takeshi as he unpacked his stuff.

"Yeah, he managed to rent out an apartment for a month," Takeshi replied.

"We'll have to invite him over for dinner one time," she said. "I'm sure Asuka-chan would love to meet him."

"I bet. She'd probably rip poor Daisuke apart. Fucking man-eater." Takeshi placed his bag at the bottom of Risa's closet then closed the doors. He then walked over and sat down next to Risa. "So what are you doing today?"

"I have uni in an hour. After that I'm having lunch with a friend, then I'm all yours."

Takeshi kissed her on the cheek. "That's great to hear. Who's this friend you're having lunch with?"

Risa bit her lip. Should she tell Takeshi about Satoshi? She couldn't tell him about Satoshi's relationship with Daisuke since she didn't know all the details herself, but she hated hiding things from him. Then again, if she told him that she was having lunch with Satoshi, he might tell Daisuke. She definitely didn't want the red head finding out just yet.

Though she hated herself for doing it, she said, "Just a friend from uni. You haven't met them."

"I guess that's fine then. As long as you're not secretly meeting up with another guy. My dad is in the police force, you know," Takeshi said, planting a kiss on Risa's lips.

"I wouldn't dream about cheating on you," Risa said, kissing Takeshi back. "I love you too much."

"That's what I like to hear."

Takeshi tackled Risa to the bed and started to kiss his way down her neck. He was just about to slip a hand up her shirt when Asuka called from the lounge, "If you two are gonna have sex, at least wait until I'm out of the apartment."

Risa let out an embarrassed giggle while sitting up. She shouldn't be worried about her boyfriend at all. If everything with Satoshi and Daisuke worked out in the end then Takeshi was sure to understand why she kept it a secret. She knew that he only wanted happiness for his friend.

…With Misaki…

Misaki walked into his classroom and made his way up to his seat. After he had left Satoshi's apartment on Sunday, he had tried to dial the number he remembered from Satoshi's phone but had gotten a busy signal instead. He had taken it to be a sign that he shouldn't mess around with his Satoshi's affairs or go snooping into his past unless it directly concerned him. It was a tough decision but he had to trust his friend.

Misaki looked up just as he reached his usual seat and saw that the space that was usually free next to him, was occupied. The red head looked up at him as he approached and stood up when he was close enough. He bowed slightly and said, "Hello, my name is Niwa Daisuke. I'm an exchange student here at Mitsuhashi for a month. I hope you don't mind me siting here."

"No, of course not," Misaki said, sitting down. He felt as if he had heard of 'Niwa' before but couldn't remember where. "I'm Takahashi Misaki. It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too, Takahashi-san. You're actually the first person to talk to me today. It's kind of over-whelming living in a big city like this."

"I guess. I've lived here all my life so it's normal for me. How long are you staying? Where did you move here from?"

"I'm living here with a friend for about month. I come from a really small town. Most people have no idea where it is."

"My three best friends come from a small town as well. Azumano, I think it's called."

"A-Azumano?" Daisuke said. He leant forward and said, "That's where I'm from."

"Maybe you know my friends then. I should introduce you sometime."

"That would great."

"Alright, we're getting started," Hiroki said, walking through the doors.

Misaki smiled at Daisuke then looked to the front, his heart beating fast. He couldn't believe his luck. This Daisuke surely had to know about Satoshi. After class was finished, he should ask him about it. In small towns, people usually knew everyone so this Daisuke had to be at least somewhat familiar with the name.

What was strange though, he started to realise, was that Sayuri wasn't there. She wasn't usually late so he was starting to get a bit worried. What if she had fallen ill? Did Krad and Satoshi know how to take care of her? Misaki took a deep breath. He shouldn't worry about Sayuri, she was probably fine. She'd probably just slept in. Once she arrived, he would introduce her to Daisuke, then they would all laugh and talk about Azumano.

At that moment, the door was flung open and Sayuri burst into the room, out of breath and flushed.

"Sorry I'm late," she said to Hiroki, who glared at her.

"That's fine, go to your seat," Hiroki said before continuing with his lecture.

Misaki made eye contact with Sayuri and smiled. Just as she was about to walk up the stairs though, she froze. Daisuke, who had been silent the entire time, suddenly stood up.

"Niwa-san?" Misaki said, confused. He looked to Daisuke then back to Sayuri before it finally dawned on him where he had heard the name 'Niwa' before.

"Hiwatari-san, is there a problem?" Hiroki asked.

Sayuri didn't anything. He glared at Daisuke for a moment before turning around and storming out of the classroom.

"Wait! Sayuri-san!" Daisuke said, moving to chase after her. He was stopped though when a piece of chalk connected with his forehead.

"Niwa! You will sit down this instant or I will fail you," Hiroki said, picking up a book in preparation to throw it.

Daisuke looked to the door, clearly wanting to go after Sayuri. He sighed and sat down. He slammed his head onto his desk and cursed quietly, causing Misaki to stare at him with worry. He didn't say anything though, because he didn't want to get to trouble but he swore to talk to Daisuke about it after class.

…After Class…

Misaki watched his classmates file out of the classroom. Daisuke was staring sullenly at the door and had been all class. He couldn't believe it though. What were the chances that the exchange student was Satoshi's ex-boyfriend? He wanted to say something but didn't know what. What could he possibly say? 'Hello, my best friend is your ex-boyfriend'?

"Takahashi-san, right?" Daisuke finally said. Misaki turned to him, shocked, and nodded. "About the girl before…"

"I already know," Misaki said. He turned a light red and continued, "I mean, Sayuri is one of my best friends. A-along with her brother and roommate."

Daisuke seemed slightly taken aback by the news but he managed to say, "What do you mean?"

Misaki took a deep breath. If he played his cards right then he could finally find out about what happened four years ago. He felt bad about going behind Satoshi and Sayuri's backs but they were probably never going to tell him anything. Daisuke on the other hand…

"Satoshi and Sayuri told me about you. They told me about your break up with Satoshi. Said that it was pretty rough and that's the reason they moved."

Daisuke stared at Misaki, tears in his eyes. "I knew it was my fault. I made a bad decision and now I'll probably never get him back. I thought he would understand when I chose my family. I love them and I know they love me. We could've kept dating in secret. Kaa-san would've come around eventually…"

Misaki chose not to reply. Is that really what happened? He guess he could understand where Daisuke was coming from, but if he really wanted to keep dating Satoshi, then maybe he should've spoken to him about it first. On the other hand, Satoshi may have overreacted but Daisuke could have handled the situation better.

Despite knowing this though, he felt as if he still didn't know the full story. Where did Krad and Sayuri come into it? Sayuri could still be mad at Daisuke on behalf of her brother, same with Krad, but he still felt things ran a little deeper…

"And then there's the whole thing with Krad and Dark," Daisuke said, catching Misaki's attention again. "They'd finally gotten together after 300 years and because of me and Dark being a commitment-phobe, they'll probably never be happy either."

Dark… Misaki knew he had heard the name before, but only in relation to that Phantom Thief that was on the news. It surely wasn't the same person, so who was this Dark that had apparently dated Krad before? Sayuri, Satoshi and Krad had never mentioned him.

"Dark…" Misaki said, trying to think of something to say.

"Yeah, now we're both in Tokyo hoping to catch up with Satoshi-kun and Krad and say that we're sorry but if Sayuri's reaction was anything to go by…"

"I-I think that…" Misaki paused. He had to be careful with what he said. He wanted to protect his friend, but it seemed as if Daisuke really was sorry for what he did. "I think that if you're truly sorry, then you'll be forgiven. You'll just have to prove it."

"How?"

"I'm sure you'll figure something out." Misaki grabbed his bag and stood up. He looked down at Daisuke for a moment longer before saying, "See you round, Niwa-san."

…With Satoshi…

Satoshi sat across from Risa in a small restaurant in the heart of Tokyo. It was crowded due to the lunch rush but that was precisely why he had chosen it. Nobody would be able to overhear their conversation. He had also chosen to wear a beanie and an old pair of glasses so no one would be able to recognise him.

As per arranged, Satoshi had picked up Risa from Mitsuhashi University and brought them to the restaurant. After they had been seated though, they had sat in complete silence. Risa was looking closely at the menu but Satoshi was glaring around the restaurant. He knew they would have to start talking eventually but he refused to start the conversation. The only reason he was there at all was to get Risa off his back. If he answered her questions then hopefully she would leave him alone.

A server eventually came over and took their orders. Satoshi asked for his usual and Risa ordered fish. They were left in silence again but it was made more awkward because Risa didn't have her menu to hide behind.

After a few more minutes of this, she cleared her throat and said, "How did you find this place? It's pretty well hidden."

Satoshi gave Risa a blank look before answering, "I know the owner. Helped get him off a murder charge."

"Oh, that's nice," Risa said. She paused for a moment before continuing, "How did you become an Inspector anyway? I suppose it was mostly because of you being a Commander back in Azumano?"

"Yes. Chichi helped me get the position."

"Well, congratulations. You're doing a great job. My friend, Asuka-chan, just loves you."

As much as Satoshi was loathe to bring up the subject of Daisuke, he didn't think he could put up with much more of Risa's attempts of small talk.

"I'm gay," he said, figuring it was best to be blunt. It caused Risa to freeze and stare at him. "I've never liked women in that way. Daisuke was my first love and the only reason Sayuri pretended to be his girlfriend was to avoid suspicion from his family and your sister."

"That.. answers a lot of my questions," Risa said. She was unsure of how to react properly to all the information. Something seemed to click in her mind though and she asked, "So is that Krad-san you mentioned before your… uh, current boyfriend?"

Satoshi raised an eyebrow before laughing. He guessed he could understand how Risa came to that conclusion but it still sounded ridiculous. The thought of Krad acting 'loving' towards him in any way, like a lover or boyfriend, was too strange. Yes, they slept in the same bed and even had sex on a regular basis, but it was never anything more than that. They both knew that they loved someone else and sex was usually just a stress reliever.

"No," Satoshi said, unable to stop himself from smiling. "We have sex on occasion but we're nothing more than close friends."

"Oh," Risa said.

Satoshi realised that it was probably a shock for her to see him this way. He couldn't help it though. He was different person than what he was in Azumano. He'd become more closed off about his past but had also opened up in a lot of other ways thanks to Misaki and their friendship. It was easier to be more relaxed and open when he didn't have his father breathing down his neck or the pressure to catch Dark.

"How did you meet him?"

"Family, I guess," Satoshi said since it was the closest to the truth. "We were friends when I still lived in Azumano."

"Oh, did he live out of town? Azumano's a pretty small place. I feel like I would've seen him around otherwise…"

"No, he was just a… private person."

They fell into silence again and shortly after, the food arrived. They both started eating and didn't talk again until they had finished.

"What are you doing in Tokyo anyway?" Satoshi asked. He had been wondering ever since he had received that first letter from her. It was especially curious because she was going to the same university as Sayuri and Misaki.

Risa flushed a light pink and said, "I'm going to uni here. I'm studying Fashion Design. I want to design clothes in the future."

"Good luck."

"Uh, thanks. I'm, uh, actually dating Takeshi now as well. We started going out in High School."

Satoshi raised an eyebrow. He wasn't surprised to learn that Risa was dating that guy. He had vague memories of Middle School where he often saw Takeshi hanging around the twins. It would only make sense that he would end up dating one of them.

"Congratulations. What's he doing now? Does he still want to be a reporter?"

Risa's eyes lit up and she said, "Yeah. He's currently working at the local paper in Azumano. He mainly writes pieces about Dark but he does other stuff as well. He's actually in Tokyo at the moment for Dark's next heist here. Do you have anything to do with that down at the Police Station?"

Satoshi clenched his hand. Since he had the most experience with Dark, he'd been put in charge of the current case. He'd been arranging security for the Gallery and setting up traps for the past few weeks. On the night in question, he wanted to be nowhere near there when Dark showed up.

Satoshi glare down at the table and said, "A little."

"Ri-right."

They fell into silence once more. Satoshi checked the time and sighed. He had to get back to the station soon. He stood up and walked over the register. He paid for the meals and walked outside. He heard Risa behind him and turned to her. "Where did you want me to drop you off?"

"My apartment's fine. I can direct you."

Satoshi nodded and started walking towards his car. He was just about to unlock it when he heard Risa call out.

"Wa-wait. Hi-Hiwatari-kun." He turned and looked at her. "Why did you and Daisuke-kun break up?"

Satoshi glared at Risa. That had nothing to do with her, though he should've expected for her to ask something like that.

"He chose his family," he replied, unlocking his car and sliding in.

…With Argentine…

"I can't believe you followed us here," Daisuke said, shaking his head. "Kaa-san's going to be furious."

"I'm sorry," Argentine said, looking to the floor. Ever since he'd heard that Sayuri was in Tokyo, he couldn't resist the urge to leave and find her. He'd been so close to having her again when she was at Azumano but Krad had stopped him. No matter what though, he wouldn't let anything get in his way this time. He had to see Sayuri again.

"No you're not," Dark said, walking out of the kitchen and sitting beside Daisuke on the couch. "Though I can't say that having you here is going to be much of an issue."

"What are you talking about?" Daisuke said, crossing his arms. "What about when Risa-chan and Takeshi come over? How am I going to explain it to them?"

"Just tell them that Emiko made him go because she was worried you couldn't look after yourself."

"But that's embarrassing! Geez, I don't need deal with you on top of everything else."

"Please let me stay," Argentine said, bowing. "I need to see Sayuri-sama again."

"He might be able to help us, Daisuke. If he can talk to Sayuri…"

Daisuke glared at Argentine for a few seconds before sighing and saying, "Fine, he can stay. But he's doing all the house work. Might as well contribute something…"

Argentine couldn't help the smile that spread across his face. Yes, it wouldn't be long before he would be with Sayuri again.

Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Well, I finally managed to write another chapter. I'm not sure how I feel about Daisuke, Dark and Argentine's characterisation at the end because it's been so long since I've properly written them but it's better than nothing I suppose.

Sorry this took so long but as I'm sure I've said before, I'm not really going to dedicatedly work on this. I'll still write when I feel like it but expect maybe one or two updates a year. I'll finish it eventually but I have no idea when that's going to be. Once I'm done, I'll go through and give it a thorough editing, making sure everything makes sense and fits in with the canon. Please be patient until then.

I had the idea for the DaisukeXSayuri scene in my head probably ever since I first thought of this fic, so it's a relief to finally get it onto paper. Originally I was going to make Sayuri slap Daisuke but felt her just storming out would be better. The first scene of the next chapter is the one I've been most looking forward to writing though. Hopefully I can get it finished soon.

Anyway, thank you for reading and please give me some feedback! See you in the next chapter!
