Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Howdy Y'all! Welcome to chapter 11 of Junai Angels. I'm very excited for the first scene of this chapter because it's something that I've been looking forwards to writing for a long time! So let's get right to it! Frizzle!
Frizzle: Yes! Disclaimer: Slytherin – Fanatic 911 does not own D N Angel or JunJou Romantica but she does own her own character, Sayuri (Satoshi-kun's twin sister). Now… ON WITH THE CHAPTER!
Satoshi drove towards Mitsuhashi University with Misaki in the car. Though he knew Sayuri had class as well, she had been still in bed by the time he had been leaving that morning. It was strange because she had never missed any classes before unless she had to. She'd been in irritated for the whole week but refused to talk about it, even with Krad. Maybe it had something to do with Risa? Risa had said at the ball that she'd met with Sayuri previously but his sister had never mentioned anything to him. It made him wonder what else she could be hiding…
He had no idea how Sayuri had felt after she'd met up with Risa but he felt strangely relieved. She'd been easier to talk to than he thought. She'd definitely matured in the four years since he'd last seen her. Perhaps with time they could be friends… That was probably a long way off but he knew that there was no way Risa would let go of him now. The one thing he hoped from their new acquaintance was that she wouldn't mention Daisuke again. He'd left that part of his life behind four years ago.
The thought of Daisuke made Satoshi's stomach churn. He'd hoped four years ago that he would never have to deal with him again. But now his past was starting to catch up with him again. First Dark, then his father and most recently Risa. Meeting with Daisuke seemed inevitable but he would do everything in his power to prevent that from happening. He didn't need him.
Satoshi pulled up to Mitsuhashi and turned the car off. He glared at the students walking in front of his car for a moment before unclipping his seat belt and hopping out of the car, Misaki following suit. He walked around to the other side and said, "Have a good day today."
"Yeah, you too. Tell Sayuri to take care," Misaki replied. He was just about to walk away when he hesitated for a moment before asking, "Are you okay, Satoshi?"
Satoshi raised an eyebrow and said, "I'm fine, why?"
"Just… you've seemed a bit… off since you came back from Azumano. You can talk to me about anything, you know?"
Satoshi's eyes widened. Maybe he had been a bit on edge because of the trip back to Azumano and Dark's Heist. He didn't think he'd been effected enough to cause anyone to notice though. He laid a hand on Misaki's shoulder and said, while smiling, "I'll be fine. Thanks for worrying though."
Misaki smiled as well and said, "Alright. See you later." He then turned around and started to walk away.
Satoshi was about to go back to his car but looked up briefly when he heard someone say, "Takahashi-kun! Good morning!"
Satoshi froze and dropped his car keys that he had been holding. His vision swayed.
"Good morning, Niwa-kun. How are you?" Misaki replied.
Satoshi closed his eyes and took a deep breath. It was fine. Everything was fine. He just had to pick up his keys and get out of there before…
"Satoshi…-kun?"
Satoshi's eyes flew open. He looked over and made eye contact with Daisuke. He glanced away and picked up his keys. Just as he was about head back to his car, a warm hand grabbed his wrist.
"I-it's actually you, Satoshi-kun. It's actually-"
"Let go of me," Satoshi finally forced out. He turned and glared at Daisuke. "Fucking let go of me."
Daisuke tightened his gip and said, "No. I finally have you. I'm not gonna let go again. I won't make the same mistake."
"Let go of me!" Satoshi ripped his wrist out of Daisuke's grip.
"Why? So you can just run away from me again? Look, I'm sorry for what I did back then. I was young and stupid. I shouldn't have just picked my family back then. I should have talked to you about it. I should have told my family earlier about us. There are so many things I could've done better but that's in the past. I have to live with my mistakes. All I can do now is say sorry and hope you'll forgive me. Please, Satoshi-kun."
"No. I won't forgive you. You think I can just forgive you after what you did to me?"
"We were 15. Practically kids. I'm sorry for what I did but we can get past this. As long as you just stop overreacting."
"Overreacting? You betrayed me! You broke my heart. I…"
"So what, you'll never forgive me? Did you really expect that I would've chosen you back then? Of course I chose my family. They love me. How could I be sure that you weren't just using me to get at Dark?"
"Because I loved you." Satoshi's tears slid down his face. "Before Sayuri and Krad, you were the first person I ever opened up to."
Daisuke stared at Satoshi, his eyes wide.
Satoshi took a deep breath and glanced around. He saw that a crowd had gathered around them and a couple people were even filming them.
"What the fuck are you looking at?" he yelled. They quickly dispersed and he used the opportunity to wipe his eyes.
"I'm sorry, I should have-"
"No. Just forget it."
With that, Satoshi to the driver's side door and hopped back into his car. He let out a soft curse before turning the engine on and driving away.

…With Takeshi…
What the fuck was that. Seriously, even as he was walking over to comfort a crying Daisuke, he was trying to wrap his head around what the fuck had just happened. Seeing Satoshi was shocking enough but then that argument? He knew that Daisuke and Satoshi had history but he thought that Daisuke had more beef with Sayuri.
"Come on," Takeshi said. He guided Daisuke away from the crowd and around the side of the university, where the grass was.
They both sat down and Takeshi waited until Daisuke had stopped crying before saying anything.
"Are you alright?" Takeshi asked. He wanted to force Daisuke to tell him what that was. He really wanted answers but being gentle with Daisuke first up would probably be best.
"I said sorry," Daisuke said, wiping his eyes. "I told him. I was sorry but he rejected me anyway."
"Well, maybe he had a good reason to," Takeshi said, still confused. "I mean, what, did you just expect that he would forgive you and you'd become friends again?"
"Well, maybe not, but he didn't have to act like that," Daisuke said. "He could've listened to me instead of straight out rejecting me."
"Didn't he? You said sorry, something about your family and then he left, I think."
"But-"
"Listen, if you want me to give you advice, then you'll have to tell me everything from the top. I mean, from the sounds of it, you two went out but I didn't even know you were gay."
Daisuke looked down to his hands then back to Takeshi. "Do you promise not to tell Risa or Riku?"
"I'm your best friend."
-D N Angel-
"Well, I think both of you fucked up, you know?" Takeshi said.
Takeshi had listened to Daisuke's story and while he was surprised to hear that Daisuke had gone out with a guy, he wasn't surprised to hear that it was Satoshi.
"Both? You're meant to be on my side," Daisuke said, crossing his arms.
"Well, yeah, you're my best friend but if you had just talked to him then you probably wouldn't be in this mess."
"I tried but he wouldn't listen to me."
"So you should've made more of an effort. Of course he could have not overreacted. As I said, you both fucked up."
Daisuke stared at Takeshi with a frown. "So what do you think I should do?"
"Talk to him. Explain everything. Apologise. Be forceful this time."
Takeshi loved Daisuke, he really did, but sometimes he was too much of a wuss. That's why he was still going out with Riku even though he clearly didn't like her anymore. All this time though and Daisuke could have been happy had he had more balls. He supposed he could understand though. Satoshi was hard to talk to in the first place.
"Do you really think that would work though? It's been four years."
"Yes. You probably won't get back together straight away, if you do at all, but not talking is what got you in this mess. At the very least you two could finally get some resolution."
"Right, thanks Takeshi."
Takeshi nodded. This would likely cause some trouble with Riku and maybe Risa, but he hoped his girlfriend would understand. It would be less hassle in the long run if Daisuke dealt with it now.

…With Misaki…
Misaki sat next to Satoshi at Usagi's condo. After running into Daisuke that morning, Misaki had called Satoshi and organised to meet there. Once they'd arrived, Satoshi had sat down on the couch and put his head in his hands. Misaki had gone to the kitchen to make tea for the both of them.
Misaki took a deep breath. He poured the hot water into the two cups and let the tea bags steep. He cared a lot about his friend and wanted to support Satoshi but he'd also gotten to know Daisuke over the past week or so. He had a pretty good grasp on what had happened four years ago and he knew that Daisuke was sorry for jumping the gun like he did. Seeing them both not have that baggage weighing them down would be the ideal situation but how was he supposed to make Satoshi talk to Daisuke in the first plac? He could definitely be stubborn when he wanted.
Misaki finished preparing the tea and walked over to Satoshi. He placed the cups down on the coffee table then sat down himself. They sat in silence for a bit before Satoshi glanced at the tea then to Misaki and muttered, "Thanks."
Misaki pursed his lips and nodded. He stared intently at the cup in front of him before saying, "Satoshi… did you want to talk-?"
"No."
"It might-"
"No.
Misaki glared at Satoshi. This was ridiculous. There was no point in him keeping everything bottled up inside, refusing to talk about it even with his family and friends. No. Enough was enough. Misaki was going to get answers if it was the last thing he did.
"I don't care," Misaki said. "What happened between you and Niwa-kun was four years ago. He's sorry and you'd know that if you just talked to him rationally for five seconds. I'm not saying you have to get back together with him or even become friends but at least talk to him…"
Satoshi looked up to Misaki with wide eyes. He opened his mouth to say something but Misaki cut him off.
"And you're just as much to blame as he is. If you hadn't overreacted in the first place then neither of you would be in this mess. So the next words out of your mouth better be, 'You're right, Misaki'."
Satoshi looked to his hands and bit his bottom lip.
"You're right, Misaki," he said.
Misaki blinked. "What?"
"I said, you're right. I'm not sure I could forgive him just yet but… this entire thing has been weighing me down for the last years. I don't want to dread going back to Azumano, or seeing anyone from that life anymore. Talking to Niwa might help."
"Are you serious? It can't be that easy…"
Misaki stared at his best friend. That was… unexpected. He thought that Satoshi would've given up more of a fight. Maybe what Daisuke said to him earlier wore down his defences? Either way, if he really was willing to talk to Daisuke then things weren't so hopeless after all.

…With Sayuri…
Sayuri leant against the counter at her work and sighed. After she'd decided that morning not to go to class, she'd headed to her part-time job instead. Haruka, the shop owner, didn't mind the help of course. She knew she should've gone to class, but she just couldn't work up the effort to. She didn't want to see Daisuke again.
The door opened at that moment and Sayuri automatically said, "Welcome."
Sayuri looked up and saw that it was a foreigner that had entered. He had tanned skin, light eyes and blonde hair that was pulled back into a ponytail. He looked a few years older than her and she couldn't help but feel that she had seen him before. She was positive that she hadn't though.
The foreigner looked around the shop for a few seconds before walking over to her. The intensity in which he stared at her made uncomfortable and soon enough she had to look away. This continued for a few more minutes before he asked in a deep voice, "Do you work here often?"
Sayuri glanced at him and answered, "Most days, yes. I usually have Tuesdays off though."
The foreigner nodded. "Can I visit you again?"
Sayuri wanted to scream, 'No!' but there was something in the man's eyes that made her nod instead.
The foreigner bowed slightly and said, "It was a pleasure to see you again, Sayuri-sama."
Once the foreigner had walked out of the shop, Sayuri let out a sigh of relief. She really didn't have a clue as to what had just happened. Who on Earth was that man and what did he want with her? She supposed she'd just have to find out when he next came in…
Slytherin – Fanatic 911: Well, first and foremost let me say that I'm glad this chapter is up. I'll definitely try harder from now on to get a chapter up at the very least every few months. Now, onto the commentary:
I really didn't expect this chapter to turn out like this. You may be thinking: 'But you were the one who wrote it. You planned it out, so you had to know.' Well, not so much. I'm sure other writers can agree with me on this but sometimes things just go in a completely direction than what you were expecting to write. It may be that when you're in the flow of writing, you wanna do this instead of that, but it happens. Which brings me to this chapter.
I kinda want to get this story finished sooner than what I was planning to. For my sake and for you, the readers. That's why I have Satoshi and Daisuke so willing to talk to each other, even after their fight (I was originally planning to make their fight turn physical but, alas it is what it is). I tried to make them as in-character as possible but it still may seem a bit fast for the story and their relationship but at least you know why.
Also, I had planned to incorporate a KradXHiroki scene this chapter that showed that those two don't hate each other as much as they appear to (which involved Krad insecurities and crying) but I decided to cut it. It might show up later, but likely not.
The scene with Misaki and Satoshi and the one at the end with Sayuri were both meant to be in chapter twelve. Overall though, they both fit better here, which means I know have to rearrange my chapter plans so I know what to write in the future. Which I currently don't.
To be honest, at this point in time, your guess for the end of the series is as good as mine. I have a few things which will definitely happen, like SatoshiXDaisuke, the heist, KradXDark and one or two others but anything else… I'll figure it out. (And if you yell at me for spoiling the rest of the fic for you, honestly, you should know that it's gonna have a happy ending. No matter what. Angst-fest, this is not. If you're looking for something a bit deeper, try out my Ace Attorney fic, Thoughts of an Ace Attorney)
Anywho, that's about it for now. Sorry for the ramblings but I hope it makes you understand a little bit better my thoughts on the whole shebang and why it's turned out the way that it has.
Please review with your thoughts on the chapter, the whole fic or the future.
I'll see you in chapter twelve!
Ja Bye Bye Ne
-.-
