Chapter 4 – Climax, Letter from the King
My dear Sarah,
First, my sincere congratulations on your nuptials. You may have guessed, but the goblins that have been following you for years do indeed keep me informed of your life, health, and whereabouts. Naturally, whenever I discovered you were in a committed relationship, I simply had to investigate the young man.
You may rest assured that Brenden is a fine young man, and I have no doubt that he will treat you like the queen you rightfully are.
My other purpose is to formally apologize for my behavior in the Labyrinth. Since you have left, I have watched you and other individuals who are no longer children. In consequence, I have become painfully aware of how young you truly were and, subsequently, how abhorrent some of my actions were. If you still harbor fears about myself in any capacity, I wish to soothe your fears and assure you that I harbor no ill-will or lingering intentions toward you and yours.
